Some how the flag on our mailbox was broken. We have been receiving a few pieces of wrong mail for weeks. I put return to send on the mail and placed it back in the mailbox two weeks ago. The mailman still hasnt taken the mail. He keeps dropping off mail everyday and just putting mail on top of it. You would think a light would go off in his brain and ask himself, I wonder why the same pieces of mail has been here for two weeks? Ive been to this post office back in December to complain about our mailman and they sent me over to the annex. Theres a sign on the wall at the annex that has this post offices address on it. Its like they are playing games having people go back and forth!

Women who works at this place wears a mask covering her mouth only and sometime below the mouth.....whats the point in wearing one! I have been in this location at least 20 times in the last 6 months and she continues to wear her mask this way every single time. Every other worker is wearing a mask correctly other than this women and she shouldnt be on the front line working with the public.

I have always received Excellent customer service from Buford Post Office. I was in line the same time Tonya N wrote her review. I could hear the conversation but I did not hear or see Nancy being disrespectful at all. On the contrary she is the one that other clerks call on to solve problems as she is very knowledgeable about every process and procedure in the post office. Nancy always goes the extra mile to make sure customers are taken care of and any problems are solved quickly (Even when customers can be quite rude). She is very professional and dedicated and her customer service skills are excellent. I have seen her working on the machine in the lobby many times. Seems she is the only one that knows how to fix it or cared enough to figure out how to fix it. Its a shame that someone would put up a review like that when I know first hand thats just not what happened. What we need is more GREAT EMPLOYEES like Nancy in the post office.

I went in to drop off a package. The line was long so we all waited patiently. It was almost closing so one clerk came out, she has long dreads, asking everyone how they were paying and also letting us know that we could use the kiosk. Her niceness kept us from being impatient. One customer let the the lady know that the scale stop working. So she nicely let her know that she was going to the back to ask Nancy for help. I was towards the back so I didn’t hear Nancy’s response but others towards the front did and they weren’t too happy at her approach. I’m guessing it was so rude that one of the ladies in line asked the lady with the dreads if she could write a statement on Nancy. So the lady in the dreads went to the back to give the customer a piece of paper to write her statement. Nancy comes from the back, the lady with the dreads turns around and says “are you coming to fix the scale? It only takes two seconds.”... Nancy begins to talk down on the lady with dreads in front of everyone. Nancy disrespectfully says “YOU NEED TO BE WORKING! GET BACK HERE AND WORK!” [there was more rude dialogue]. I was waiting for the lady with the dreads to snap back BUT she didn’t. She remained professional and walked back to the back to work the front desk. Nancy’s demeanor and approach were very unprofessional. She made the environment very hostile. I felt so bad for the lady with the dreads. I would have gotten fired or quit today with the amount of disrespect and embarrassment that was thrown at that lady. I wish I knew her name, I didn’t see her name tag. I would hate for anyone to lose their job. The lady with the dreads deserves a raise or promotion and Nancy should be demoted or fired. Nancy’s behavior was unacceptable. If she can’t handle being under pressure during a rush hour then she need to find another job.

The majority of time we do not receive our mail on Monday - a business location. The delivery person leaves the door open after delivery, and we are on a highway (Waterworks Road). When we mail packages, many times they are lost - Today, we have received all of the mail for the business next door - The inside of the post office? Very poor customer service, and the lines are long because there is no urgency in assisting customers. We frequently drive to Flowery Branch to avoid using this post office.

This place is a mess and a half there is a nice lady with dread TRYING her best to get the line moving the scale in the entry area isn’t working .... she asked the while lady ( I’m guessing she is the manager) behind the desk 4 times to please help her fix the scale to no avail there is literally a line wrapping arround the lobby ... kinda disappointed the white lady who I’m guess is the manager came out to fuss loudly at the other lady with dreads VERY unprofessional. I left my phone on the counter at the post office A man who works there called me at home looking for me for several days until I was able to get his message. He kept my phone for me in the safe there and I really appreciate it!

Parcels always arrive home late, never arrive on time, the site indicates the same delivery time, they arrive even after 9 pm, why are you working so badly? As long as I live in America, I always received mail at 10:00 am, here we receive it late at night. It is very uncomfortable. and not professionally!

At least once a week packages are delivered incorrectly. They leave my packages in the rain. They do not answer the phone. They deliver after 5:00 ,when we are closed. Just replace the USPS with UPS and be done with it.

The employees are the barriers to achieving acceptable customer satisfaction. The employees at this location have no idea of what customer’s desired service looks like.The unmotivated employees at this branch provide at best indifferent service. Customers are treated with lack of concern in general, lack of speed, lack of accountability and unhelpfulness.Employees seem inadequately trained therefore they do not excel at customer service. Management is failing to act, I am specifically speaking about the female supervisor/branch manager. Her name begins with the letter P.There is no proactive customer service improvement and no corrective actions taken place at this USPS branch.

Ive about had it with what I have to call my post office and now the headquarters is on my BEEP List!1. No answer on a dozen calls to now the only post office to take calls in Washington2. The line is always out the door & with 3 employees working front, seems to be more than enough to check in packages...dont get it!3. Drop Box is almost alway full and if it isnt full it has been taking 2-4 days to even scan a package in! (Unacceptable)4. Drop off cart in lobby...falling out of bin full!5. Ordered packaging supplies weeks ago, still waiting.Im sure I could keep going on, but really wth is going on at this office? The Pandemic does not work for an excuse because it has always been like this! At this time they have lost 2 of my packages, they havent been scanned, dropped them off on the 10th, i have made an online claim 5 days ago, and that dozen calls....nothing...what I have gotten is 2 unhappy customers who canceled their order, missing packages and Im out $$...because Buford City Post Office is the worst!Either get your shhhhhhiiiiiitttt together or hire more people....hire me....dam ill work if my dam packages just get scanned lol...ok im done.

The postal folks at this Buford Hwy. post office consistently do a GREAT job. It is very difficult working for the public, with the public, every day and keep a friendly, patient demeanor. Of all of the post offices Ive been to I like this one the best. Several of them on the front lines have been there for years and while in most retail stores, which in effect it is, have tons of turnover, here you see the same faces. Theyre each very unique individuals so not only do they have the tough task of dealing with the public while working for the govt. theyve worked with each other for years and we all know how that can be. They remain professional through it all but theyre normal people too. Have to go to work when you feel like sh&! and deal with the public..people who think they can be rude just because its a govt facility; people who come in 5 minutes before closing and have no clue how to send a priority package. Andrew, Robin, Nancy..just a few names I know, all outstanding professionals in light of the tough job they have. Thank you all. Im one person who spoke out so think of all of the others who do appreciate you but dont speak up.

The last few times I’ve been here I’ve waited a few minutes and walked out to go to fedex, even though I pay more more than I wish too its worth it. Yesterday I went there were probably 20 people in line, all were complaint about the service, it was very warm inside too, I left my mom in line that was past the front door and went to get a box to send my stuff in the main part of the lobby. The line moved up and a lady who was standing at the area you can right our addresses and box your items yelled “I’m standing in line still don’t cut me!!” The guy turns around started yelling at her. Mind you I have my small toddler with me no more than 10 feet from this happening. The two USPS workers behind the counter said and did nothing. They also always look dirty and sloppy.They NEED to hire more people to have every checkout filled with a USPS clerk to better serve this part of town that has exploded over the past 20 years. Also the USPS lady that stands in next to the cards you can buy along side the customers is useless. She’s always acting busy. She needs to go down the line ask people what they need. “Stamps? Great let me check you out here” with her little kiosk they have set up or “Please use the electronic machine to buy your stamps.” I looked over at her several times yesterday in hopes she’d come help me select the appropriate box or envelope to mail my items and she saw me and didn’t bother to ask “Can I help you” this whole post office is so inefficient it drives me insane.

I frequent this Post Office a great deal and although they are by no means perfect, they do try. The one employee in here who is the absolute best is Andrew. He works extremely hard and has EXCELLENT customer service. The rest of the employees are not bad either but Andrew truly stands out!

I have had my PO Box at this location for more than 2 years. This branch doesn’t have a steady box person per the counter staff. Therefore, I continue to get other people’s mail even after speaking to several employees and management. Most of my packages are NEVER in my box, almost NEVER receive a slip or any notification of arrival. I have informed delivery to NO avail. The only clue I have of my packages being delivered is to go to the seller’s website. I just renewed my box 10 days early and I will be requesting a refund and seeking out another location or competitor. As for receiving at my residential box, the staff aren’t steady there either. I see a different person every day in unmarked cars, vans, trucks etc.,st various times if the day. What is the postal service coming to?

Did not leave Amazon package on Saturday because they said business closed on the website. I was home all day - no one rang the door bell and no one left the package at the door when no signature was required. Plus no ticket left. Called 1800 number and its a 1hr30min wait. Called the local post office and line is busy. Seeing this is the case with a lot of other people.

I had ordered an art table for my daughter for Christmas which was supposed to be delivered on 12/19. Upon checking the tracking it showed that they had “attempted” to deliver the package but that the door to the porch was locked, which is false. There was no delivery notice slip left. They “attempted” again on 12/21 but again upon checking the tracking they stated that the receptacle was too small... yes it’s a table. I scheduled redelivery for 12/22 with very specific instructions to leave it on my porch and that it would definitely be unlocked, as it always is. When I returned home I found a note in my mailbox stating “this package is really just too heavy.” Ummmmm... maybe tell someone at the post office the truth then so that someone else can deliver it or leave an actual notice the first time so that plans can be made to pick it up. Now it is Saturday and my daughter won’t be able to open her gift on Christmas morning. This delivery driver handled this situation very poorly. First by lying about trying to deliver it and then by straight up refusing to do their job. Unacceptable.

Local phone number doesn’t seem to work. Main USPS customer service line has over an hour hold time. This is day 3 where they have “attempted” to deliver my package. Our community has a gate. I provided a gate code and there also is a directory at the gate. Both options ring my phone. Delivery driver doesn’t even attempt to try. No missed calls. Also, I have used the gate system in the last few days for other deliveries so there is no excuse there. Also, how do you get on site to deliver mail but cant seem to deliver this package?*update 2 months later: still failing to attempt to deliver packages. Funny to see that in a 20 minute span the status was: sorted item, out for delivery, received item. How many days are you going to do this now? Lets play the game again.

I just got back from here. They are all friendly. I was reading Dons review before I got there. I dealt with bottle blonde. She was very helpful. Im thinking Don himself may have been the problem. If you think about it, these people in this location are locals. They are part of our community. They are just being the nicest and most helpful people they know how. Maybe some of you writing these reviews either caught them at a bad time during their day or YOU YOURSELVES may be the problem. Be patient people. Its not their fault our jacked up Federal Government cant implement a better system.

Pretty disappointing experience with staff member. Brought a package in to mail with prepaid label via USPS. Just needed a piece of tape to secure. Was told that they dont give tape to customers although postage was already paid. Very puzzling. Took the package to a UPS Store and they were happy to tape the package and put in their USPS pick up bin.

Admittedly, going to the post office is not one of my favorite things to do. However, the staff at this post office make it fairly painless. I have never had a bad experience in my many years of using this location. I have always been greeted with a smile and every worker at this location has always gone out of his/her way to be helpful. If you would rather not share pleasantries with the folks serving you, get a scale and supplies and do your own shipping. These folks enjoy their job and make it an point to share a smile.

This review is for the Indian man they have working at this location no one else,everyone else is great. I wasn’t gna say anything but he hassles me every time I go. I have a weigh machine at home so before I print out my labels I weigh the item but somehow every time I get this guy I’m over an oz or two today once again I had 13 oz but his machine shows 15oz... Instead of letting it go like most of the ppl there do he is hell bent on making me pay for it I told him to get his manager and he says he’ll let it go and they’ll make me pay I just looked at him like ok? And then he tells me anything over 13oz is priority mail I told him no anything over 16oz=1pound is priority...he says well if u do it at home it’s one pound here it’s 13oz...he is absolutely the worst next time I’m just gna let someone else go I can’t stand this guy. There’s always that one person at every Usps that’s like this. It’s one or two fng oz LET IT GO! Last week I took a padded envelope up there and for whatever reason it just said envelope instead of “padded” and he started investigating it like I didn’t just put $8 for the label so I told him Do what u gta do I know what I paid... he gave me my receipt then started looking up the tracking info of course I was right. I’m usually a nice person but this guy just gets on my last nerve!!! Really wish they would have more ppl like the other few employees bling lady that usually has a red vest on or the dirty blond haired man tall that’s always working.. they r awesome!! If I had another choice that wasn’t too far I’d go there just to avoid this Indian guy but like iv said other ppl are great and so is this location and it’s convenient for me.

9/10 Im dropping off prepaid postage, but they have always been very curtious and helpful whenever I have to go to the counter. There is usually quite a line thou, but thats any P.O. There is agreeter or ambassador there to direct you to what you need so youll be ready sry the counter (or save you from it completely) which is very handy.

So I scheduled a pick up and he/she never picked it up but confirmed it was picked up via email.. they also didnt take the mail if my flag isn’t up however clearly if there is a stamped envelope in the mailbox that means you pick it up.. I also paid for twoDay priority shipping that took a week instead of two days.. but we just have to deal with it bc they are usps and it’s not like they are going to go out of business bc they fail to do their job... it also takes an act Of god to get anything resolved bc you can’t call them or contact them other than goingInto the post office where there is a line going out the door. I went to this post office for the first time to drop off some business mail. The gentleman that assisted me was very rude, obviously not trained cause he didn’t know what to do with certificates of mailing, did not want to give me a receipt for my priority express mail & when i tried to explain the commercial pricing we are offered from our meter stick, he did not want to take it. I told him to just give me my mail back & id go to the post office in Duluth & he just ignored me. I always go to the Boggs USPS & never have these issues. Won’t be coming back. I’d rather use my gas to go somewhere that’ll actually work with me rather than ignore everything I’m saying & feel like it’s a hassle to stamp a COM.

I have never been so insulted in my entire life not only did I pay for postage .I also paid to have my package intercepted first class to this location .when I arrived after having to take uber to the actual post office only to be told I had to go to the postal annex only to be told to go back to the annex where they had the nerve to yell at me because THEY could NOT find my package .so I was told that the actual post office had it all along .After all was said and done I spent $30 on uber and $20 on interception plus the $5 for initial shipping. So it cost me $55 for a 20 dollar item but heres the kicker .the shipper got my order wrong so I said to hell with it and threw the item into the woods .and thought to myself ....so this is buford Georgia ......

They need to shoot sitcom here. You receive a different level of service every visit depending on who is helping you and what that persons mood is for the day. The workers seem to be very opinionated, entitled, confused, happy, mad, smart, stupid, wandering around doing nothing and mostly wasting my time. For some reason everything ends up being a bit more difficult at this post office than any other post office I have used. I have actually made it a point to use another post office at times depending on what I need to get done, as I know there is a chance they are not going to be able to help me.More to come...

The guy who helped me send my pckg selected wrong delivery method and the recepient never received it instead the pckg ended up in some dead mail center. Good luck getting someone on the phone from that center! From what I was told by the post office employee they got full warehouse of undelivered mail and it would be hard to find it! And they couldnt even tell me why the pckg wasnt sent back to me in the first place. What a joke!As far as with this location Im done! Most of the emloyees seem to be nice and polite but very slooooow. I guess because stamping mail is very exhausting and it sure make a person brainless. The place is small and always packed.

I disagree with Don and David about the blonde lady at the Buford Post Office! She has been with that Post Office a long time. Everytime I have been in that Post Office she has gone out of her way to help me. I think there is a whole lot more going on with this Post Office than meets the eye. I also dont believe she is the one doing all this talking. And yes you did single her out. The other clerks talk all day to everybody! She is very helpful with delivering accountable mail and very fast! She does not deserve these rude comments! We are not even mentioning the stress that supervisor puts on them. You all need to try serving lines of aggravating people all day for years and see if you have any patience left. Oh and by the way, I bet you love it when your wife goes to the beauty salon!

This post office constantly deliver mail within the Preserve sub division to the incorrect homes. Even today my $70 textbook went to the incorrect home. I even decided to cancel a box subscription because of mistakes with my packages going to the wrong home. This happens ALL THE TIME!!!I will be filing a complaint along with my neighbors.

This Post Office is horrible! I regret moving my mail here! I always get other peoples mail & I just found out they have been returning my mail back to the senders! I never had so many problems with my PO Box before moving here. No one ever answers the phone & the line is always damn near out the door & moves so slow. The Buford post office is not making all priority mail shipping boxes available to their customers for all priority mail options. This post office only has priority mail flat rate boxes available when shipping by zone or zip code and weight is a service option still offered by the U.S.P.S., but those boxes are not out for customers to pack and address. Basically, they are telling you that you have one option to ship priority mail if you decide to use their boxes. It is a ripoff when you are shipping light stuff not very far. I dont need flat rate for everything, and not offering shipping materials for all of your priority mail options is a shady business practice. This post office makes extra money on you by not providing priority mail boxes to ship by weight and zip code. Absolutely tragic that this location is taking your money. No stars. Shame on you RC for trying to give me the flat rate price on my non flate rate priority mail box that I brought in. Perhaps, their computers are not even programmed to offer zone and weight prices since they dont even offer those boxes. Until you do away with the weight and zone priority mail shipping service, please make those shipping supplies available to your customers. I reaiize that your profits are higher by taking advantage of people, but we know our options and demand better. No stars to this post office. For the record, the post master general can correct this by ordering all the supplies needed for all services offered. Very disheartening to know this practice exists in several post offices in Gwinnett County. Pay attention and stop giving your money away. Demand change.

The employees who work at US Post Office in Buford dont deserve any star. Theres one lady who was assisting mostly everyone and the other employees are just walking around looking at the customers and yet didnt do anything to assist there fellow employee. A female employee who has short-blonde, shoulder length hair cut just decided to leave after helping what 3 customers. Then, another employee (male), decided to put away boxes very slowly and do whatever else like walking around didnt think at all, to assist so the long line of customers can actually get the customer service that they are employed to do. I dont know if its a color thing, but it still shouldnt matter. If those employees refuse to assist a customer whose NOT WHITE then they are in the wrong business. This PO has one clerk who constantly waste their customers time (and by extention everyone elses standing in line) by starting meaningless conversations. So watch out for the fat bottle blond. She is so bad that I wont let her serve me, instead Ill let someone else go ahead of me. She actually lost a womans pickup notice one day!There is just way too much chit chatting going on there, from her! And Im really not trying to single her out but she needs to be reassigned to another area. She is a perfect example of why the PO is in trouble.You know Im thinking that in a decade or two postal clerks will be a thing of the past as automation will replace them eventually, sort of like telephone operators. Horrible service. Received neighbors mail 4 times in the last 2 weeks. We have a community mail location and a key to get into one of the lock boxes; however, every lockbox was already opened, so my package is either lost or stolen. Someone needs to re-evaluate this mail location and their staffing!

Parking can be tough at busy times of the day. I just drop off packages lines inside seem a little long at times. PLEASE empty the drop off boxes more often!!!!!

I work at small local business in Buford and we use the post office 3-5 times weekly so we do see and work with most of the employees at the counter there. Almost always it is good experience, with folks chatting on a personal level to lighten the day, or educating us on the business side of shipping, etc. However at times one of the employees there is continually abrasive and rude. It is apparent this employee has issues with her job which is customer service for the most part and yet this particular person has no people skills what so ever and quite negative I imagine to her fellow employees. It is ashame when there are so many folks unemployed at this time who would love a chance to make a great pay check while working with the public. This partular employee had one of our employees in tears today. It is sad to think tax dollars pay this persons salary! Pay and jobs should be based on ones skill and yes demeanor if working with the public.

Horrible experience! There are many post offices please refer to the other locations and not this facility.Due to carelessness and rushing , an employee charged my card for $50 when I only purchased 1 sheet of forvwvwr stamps which is sold for $10. I am currently trying to get the charge disputed

Weighed my wedding invitations wrong so I had to pay double for stamps, also asked for them to be hand stamped and they sent them through the machine. They were also rude and inconsiderate

These people are idiots. They received my package (I have a Buford zip code) and evidently placed the package on the wrong truck-it then went to Lawrenceville, GA and now its in Memphis, TN. This is not the first package this has happened to. Incompetent government employees!!! Oh, and they dont answer their phones.
