Hello all,Just bought a G scale US Army GP9!! I love it!! It actually moves a lot faster than I expected it. I have a bookshelf rail set up that goes around Half of my house so am scared to see it fly off the rails! It has real good pulling power (14 cars with no problem so far). Trainz had a real good special, practically half price. Shipping was super fast and customer service was primo as well. I used Affirm to get a POS single loan (10x better than using a credit card) that’s also offered by Trainz. Great experience all around. Definitely recommend Trainz to everyone 👍

After placing an order for an N scale locomotive I received it within a reasonable amount of time. However when I opened the box (which was just another larger box that had been cut down) there was no bubble wrap, no paper, just the the locomotive in the factory case. Absolutely inexcusable for what the locomotive cost. Update** I spoke with their customer service and they were very friendly. Turns out this was dropped shipped directly from a vendor so this was not in their control and they said they would speak to them about this.

I have several sets of Williams(Bachmann) passenger cars, all of them are well made with good graphics. The only criticism is that the cars do not have uncoupling tabs on the knuckles, like Atlas, MTH, or Lionel

These cars were in good shape for being post war era cars. I had to do some minor adjustments to them.oil them up a bit,realign some of the couplers a tiny bit for them to stay attached. My 1960s era steam locomotive that I got as a kid from before I could remember pulls all these cars just fine. Of course I had to apply some special stuff to make traction tires that actually gripped and it works good too. I wont advertise what that is in here,but Im sure most already know what that is. All in all I am well pleased . I only had 4 cars to start with,but now have 12 total and they work great. Thank you for helping me to get these cars!

I do like the vast number of items available through TRAINZ. The shopping ... for me... an older retired guy ... has been ... somewhat confusing AND difficult ! Through many phone calls and help from staff however .... my problems get resolved. My shopping and understanding is getting better !

Trainz is the WORST place to buy used model trains from. I have tried buying from them several times and every time there are issues (broken and missing pieces, running issues, lights not working, etc.) that they dont mention on their website or in their eBay listings.Its very obvious that all their eBay listings are done by people who have no experience with model trains, because they are always full of errors, contradict themselves, and often say the item is in great condition when you can see obvious missing or broken pieces in the pictures. And any time I have messaged them with questions or issues they never have any idea what Im talking about and it takes days to get a response because they have to check with a supervisor.If you are going to buy used model trains, buy from a real hobby store or any of the great individual sellers on eBay, not from this company that is clearly just trying to move as many items as fast as possible without any expertise or integrity.And dont trust their eBay ratings. Ive left them (completely honest) negative feedback before and they somehow always manage to get eBay to remove it, so their feedback score is totally bogus.EDIT: The response below from Trainz saying I bought a factory sealed item, opened it, and returned it is also completely made up. I have never bought a Lionel item from them at all.

Bought used S Gauge American Models 3-Bay Hopper recently. When it arrived it was actually better than the web photo showed it. Quite pleased with quality and price.

Fantastic customer service. My train arrived promptly, did not function, and they provided a free return. They repaired it quickly and shipped it back immediately. The email response time is superb and they kept me informed. The tech who repaired it also contacted me and explained the repair. They deserve the 5 star review, the customer service is outstanding.

I received my Santa Fe diesel locomotive in a timely manner; however, when I opened the package, the E unit was rattling around loose inside the body of the locomotive. I had to disassemble the engine and reseat the E unit and switch. Also, the engine was not equipped with any traction tires. Otherwise, this 40+ year old locomotive was in good condition. After making these repairs, the engine currently runs well and is quite powerful and responsive. It was still a great value for the price paid. In addition, you were very responsive in giving me a $20 discount when I contacted you about the problems. However, if I was an amateur train enthusiast, I would not have been able to make these repairs and probably would have returned the product. I have dealt with your company in the past with good results, but in the future you should do a better job of quality control before sending similar units out to buyers.Thank You,Robert Rosenberg

Very good as I ordered that Bandai Star Wars- C3PO and R2D2 model kit from Trainz.com. I highly thank them selling and shipping me that model in a well timely manner. This sure is a very awesome model kit to build for Star Wars fans. As I read the instructions that the model is to be built by age range 15 to adult. Young kids would like to have fun building this model kit, but I say they need help from an adult. This is definitely challenging, but with patience to build that model as there are so many parts. Absolutely be careful on very small parts that are easy to lose. Follow the step by step instructions well. This kit comes with both C3PO and R2D2. I build one figure a day, instead of two not to overwhelm myself. I started building C3PO first as that took me about 3 hours to complete it. And the next as I built R2D2 as that was sort of the same time length with C3PO. No paint(optional) and glue needed. Maybe glue needed if some parts wont attach well or easily breaks off. The results after the model is complete built turned out so brilliant! For sure Star Wars fans would like to buy this model kit and enjoy building it!

Hi I just wanted to say how great it is. Each truck moves separately and it does good on tight turns but go slow. The car was packed well, and had no damage.the finish was perfect, I would recommend it to anyone, if you saw it behind a diesel it is cool . I do love it !!!!!

I was really excited that Trainz.com had Super Streets K-line items for sale. The order was submitted without any problems. Their team kept me up to date on the progress of my order and shipment. Overall great experience! After replacing the old 1996-98 battery In the Protosound 1 module and gluing the broken cow-catch in the front, it’s been a great working part of my collection. This item was an “as is “ item and pictures showed the snapped off catch, which I knew I could fix Gorilla glue. The tower I ordered was fantastic and historically everything I have ordered through Trainz has been a good value. The one exception was in this order I got a lot of 5 freight cars and three of them had damaged wheels, axles and couplers.

It was great. Saved me about 200.00 over retail and I am very happy with my purchase . I was as advertised and delivered as planned.

The Lionel crane arrived quickly and was wellpackaged. The listing described the crane as C-9, like new functional but right or of the box it did not work. I could hear the motors running but no side to side movement and the winch did not move although the magnet did function. I dissembled to inspect and found that the factory grease had acted like glue causing the worm gear to seize in both of the gearboxes. Once all of the old grease was scraped off and the worm gears were freed up, I relubed both gearboxes and the crane operates like advertised. My issue is that I shouldnt have had to go through all of that on an item that was described as it was.

Sorry, nothing good to report so far, your shipping department elected to ship with FedEx Smartpost shipped July 28, 2020 and it was just handed over to the Postal service with standard shipping estimated delivery September 9, 2020. We have had good luck shipping to Hawaii with USPS 3 day Priority Mail in flat rate boxes that can be had for free at the Post Office, try that next time.
