I remember my primary doctor at the time, Joan Osswald, after telling her the news that I was expecting my first child, saying People like you shouldnt be allowed to have children. In regards to my deteriorating mental health (which uh, was her responsibility to help monitor just as much as my own). My daughter is almost five now and I havent struggled with my mental health at all since refusing to be seen by that absolute witch. That should tell you everything you need to know about the quality of service you can expect at Mercy Comp. Also, yes, it is as unsanitary as the other reviews point out.

Do not go here if you want a “midwifery model of care”, or if you want to be respected as an individual with bodily autonomy and basic human rights. What they advertise and claim to do is NOT what you end up getting at the end of the day.If you’re looking for a highly medicalized birth experience also don’t go here, there are FAR better options in the area where you will be treated with honestly, knowledge, professionalism, and respect.

I had a simple and straightforward experience at Mercy Comprehensive Care Center for my physical exam. I did not have to wait a long time for my appointment. I was a new patient and got a prescription I needed, and I got resources to schedule testing that requires an appointment due to the COVID situation.

As others have noted, the logistics of being seen at this office are a nightmare. Its hard to get through on the phone, check-in is a bit wonky, and the 2-hour waits to be seen are real. HOWEVER, I put up with all of it because the care I receive from the Mercy Midwifery group is unparalleled. These midwives are amazing at prenatal care and I wouldnt want anyone else with me during delivery. All the comfort and care of a personal home birth environment but in a hospital setting.

I was racial profiled by a man doctor who was not even my doctor made me feel like garbage the room was filthy I had to find my own way out of the room. I was there feeling bad I left feeling worse

Very bad service. Had an appointment today and the Midwife I had or whatever she was is very rude and rushed me out of the office. I had a very concerning issue that she wanted nothing to do with just told me I would be fine and sent me on my way. I will be finding a new doctor and will never go here again or recommend this place to anyone.

Been trying to call for days, everytime you call they say they arent in or in meetings and than when you can actually get through they dont answer. I was on the phone my whole lunch break to sit on hold. How are you suppose to get your kids into see them if they wont freaking answer. Dont go here obviously their patients arent that important

Nurse Jane has attitude. Not alot of compassion. Very nasty when explaining I was sick and my husband was caring for me.She said well whats his reason for taking off work? I just told this woman Im sick with covid! Im definitely finding a new doctor immediately

I usually never had an issue with them before until now, some of the doctors there are very helpful and so are some of the ladys at the desk but when it comes to trying to make an appointment over the phone its ridiculous! First time I called I was waiting for one of there agents to answer and ended up leaving a voice message and when they called me back they told me to call again and schedule an appointment. I tried calling again slightly irritated and was on hold waiting yet again for another agent so I left another message to get a call back and instead of someone calling me its basically like they are ignoring these voice messages being left for them so it hit alittle after 3 till I decided to call again and Im still waiting yet again for someone to answer. They should have good reasoning for this, its truly irritating especially when you dont have time to sit around waiting on someone to answer! Either find more workers to help manage the calls or find a more convenient way to make appointments! I have a baby to attend to, I dont have time for this !

Dr here is excellent she is by far one of the best Dr.s my daughter has seen. Really sad how awful and ghetto the girls are at reception inside the office. They barely speak proper English are rude dont say hello or goodbye just typical lazy ghetto girls. Why a practice would allow tattooed huge earrings rude and clearly uneducated people to represent the co. Is beyond me.

I moved to a new location and asked them to send my prescription to a new pharmacy, I gave them the address and they promised me they would. This is before my prescription was ready to be sent so they had plenty of time. I told them I live 7 hours away now and am looking for a new doctor and cancelled my follow-up appointment. I waited 3 days and the prescription was still never sent. I called them again on that day asking for them to send it over to my new pharmacy, and some lady was very rude to me saying that I initially called them to ask them to send it to a different pharmacy and now Im asking them to send it somewhere else, which isnt the case. I only have one pharmacy at my new location. So she said she would send my prescription to the new pharmacy(again)...meanwhile I had to go to the ER to get a refill since I still dont have my meds. Here we are one month later, my prescription never being sent, I called them again to see what the problem was and they sent it to the wrong pharmacy!! Thats a 7 hour drive from me! This is my third time calling to ask them to send my prescription to the Walgreens pharmacy near me and now they are telling me there is nothing they can do for me because Im not an active patient. She said they sent me a letter to my old address saying that they discharged me. Even though I told them over a month ago that Im looking for a new doctor because I dont live in the area anymore. Thats the whole reason I called you so you can send my refill to a pharmacy close by me!! She never even apologized. She also accused me of trying to get prescriptions from multiple doctors. I explained to her that I had to go to the ER and get a refill from a new doctor because she couldnt send my prescription over. I dont understand whats so difficult about sending a refill to a new pharmacy. Unbelievable. Do NOT go here. Avoid this place at all costs.

I would give it no stars if i couldMy daughter appointment was at 10am we fet hsre at 930 plenty of time. They check us in at the first window a few minutes after 10 and sat in the waiting room until after 1130. 2 hour wait is not appropriate

Very low quality of care!The lack of quality is not consistent. Many staff dont have a great point of care demeanor. At the first point of contention an attitude is developed and little help is offered in trying to solve patient concerns.

The dr that my stepndaughter saw here today is nasty. Gyn appt... no pelvic exam because of her monthly.. but room was set for one. So obv there was a drape for her to use, that was sitting on the exam table. He put the drape back in the drawer that is part of the exam table. After she had sat on it in her street clothes. That is not correct medical practice, nor is it sanitary. If they do that with a paper drape, what else are they doing that with??? If I could give less than one star I would.

If I could give them a ZERO I would. I had to call for my daughter to cancel appointment and make a new appointment. Both of us wete on hold for over 1 hour and they kept hanging up 4 times on my daughter. When we finally got ahold of somebody they said there was an emergency. Nwver apologized. Now my daughter had to get a new doctor cuz the old doctor left. Never ever received a letter or phone call. We are at the doctors now and they lost her blood work. How? I do not know. It automatically goes into the computer chart. Needbetter management and more people answering the phones to make or cancel appointments.

I CAN NOT recommend the mercy midwives highly enough!!!! They always took all the time I needed with me. I never once felt rushed. I felt like I was getting exceptional care from kind, talented, experienced women who were all invested in the health of my body, mind and those of my baby. My labor and delivery experience were perfect!!! I will treasure my time with these remarkable women for the rest of my life.

C/O Daniel RiveraDaniel has been a patient at Mercy Comprehensive Care Center, at 379 Louisana Street, Buffalo New York.Recently, October 12, 2018; He has been falling down and it has gotten to the point where he needs a way to transport himself (inside and outside) wheelchair. He is also in need of a bath chair and toilet riser; even though the doctor has given him a script for these items and a scooter, Dr. Oswald has deliberately delayed the process by not filling out and returning the paperwork needed by Buffalo Wheelchair to proceed with obtaining the equipment he needs. Daniel has been complaining about the service and treatment he has been getting at this facility but hasnt acquired a new clinic because he doesnt wish to start over and cause the process to delay further. His Patient rights have been violated. This clinic in total needs an overhaul in service and scheduling. The appoints are schedule too far and the wait when you arrive at an appointment is too long and then the wait when put in a room. He has to constantly call and correct prescription refills. He has continuously asked to talk to a doctor, not a doctor physician. He has left messages repeatedly. The staff is rude, in giving information and act like you are bothering them. He has asked the staff to refer him to the proper people to help him with his dilemma and they just give him the runaround. He called for results of some test he had done at Dent and was told he had to call them himself. He had to ask Dent to fax results to the clinic four times before the clinic acknowledged to him that the had finally received the results. No one has properly explained why he has this condition. He is in the process to change from this clinic. He would advise anyone not to go there. He has asked Dr. Oswald to change the original script of a scooter to an electric folding wheelchair for easier access and she has refused, with no explanation why. She has sent him by regular mail and certified mail, threatening to keep him from coming to the clinic if he continues to complain. He has put in a formal complaint to the corporate office, contacted the facility counselor, reported to his health insurance, and the media. He also had his Health Insurance call the clinic to intervene on his behalf, but the insurance returned his call saying that the response they got was rude also. He has been going to this process for 6 months with no resolutions. It got so bad he had thoughts of killing himself, the thought of not being able to get around and do for himself seemed too much to bear. How can a place that is supposed to help people get healthy put someone in that state of mind?

Love our pediatrician Kathleen McCarthy. She has been our sons pediatrician since he was born 2 years ago and we would never go with anyone else. She cares about what she does and gives us the time needed. She is respectful and very professional. She even asked how I was doing after having my son and gave me advice to overcome postpartum. We have never had an issues except waiting awhile past our appointment when they were really busy.

This office used to be really great but I feel it has gone downhill with regards to wait time. I think they over-schedule patients and we often have a long wait time even when arriving within plenty of time for the appointment. No complaints on the doctors though.

I have had nothing but positive experiences here. From adult care to GYN to mental health, I have been treated extremely well and with utmost respect. So glad they are in charge of my care. Also, they are Doctors of Osteopathy which suits me.

Staff that answers the phone is always rude with an attitude. They are extremely incompetent. 4 times i had to give them my new number over the course of 6 weeks because they recieved the number but didnt save it which in turn got me cut off my prescription becausethey called 3 times for a pill count but kept calling the wrong number and its my fault. I went in last week for an emergency visit due to pain. My appointment was for 2. I got there at 145 and waited in the waiting room for an hour, they called me in the back and i waited another hour and a half before i walked out in way more pain then i went in. I would give them zero stars if i could.

Staff is incredible rude. Wont be coming back. The nurse raised her voice at my sister for calling my grandma to remind her to take her pill saying no phones allowed in here and as she was walking out the door I watched her pull her phone out of her pocket and start texting! what a joke! I also havent eaten yet today and I pulled a pretzel out of my bag and popped it in my mouth & was told no eating allowed, that smells disgusting they couldnt have possibly been more rude. They also held my son down and scraped the skin off his arm with a scalpel, making him cry and squirm. Which I thought was very unnecessary considering Id rather the scab heal on its own rather than him being stabbed at. I couldve done a much better job at home. Everyone there has an attitude problem. They blame everything they do on being understaffed even though they rush through everything & its always empty. Do NOT bring your babies here. Actually, just dont bring anyone here.

WOW! I just called to see what time my appointment was for & they are closed @ 4:24 pm there hours are 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. I ask the answering service person why were they closed & she said Ummm I dont know & then ask me to verify the address of where I was calling, so I did & again she said Maam I cant tell you why there closed so early, so I thank you & ended the call...smh...This is not good I think I will find my family & I a new place to go even though we just started going here. the doctors seem nice, but it seem there receptionist working the front area are not doing there part which will cost them in the end.

The worst place ever! I had a great PA, but he left and the constantly rotating carousel of docs just dont care. In their defense, Im sure theyre overworked, and that is the fault of Catholic Health.When was the last time a provider said to you (and Im quoting here) I cant talk to you about that problem. Youre here for a sick visit and they want us to push you guys out quickly. REALLY? You cant talk about a medical problem Im having? Your a medical professional. Its your job.Their computer system is slower than death, and I had TWO sets of records for over 2 YEARS before the issue was corrected.I called for an appointment because I needed to follow up after a trip to an emergency room. I was sick....really sick...and got an appointment...in 10 days. (yes, I told them I had gone to Generals ER)Im moving on.

Absolutely horrible appointment at 9:30am and I am still here 11:10am for a follow up. Doctor isnt very nice didnt listen to me at all didnt feel comfortable at all. Everything i said she talked over me. I Miss my other Dr. Bousader- Armstrong. Nurse was very nice and deserves to work someplace that cares like she does.

I switched late in pregnancy to the midwives here for my OB care at the urging of my doula. I wish I hadnt. Being a clinic, you feel like a number. My care was hands-off bordering on negligent. I had labor complications and was later told they tried to avoid a c section longer than most others would have. No, if my baby needed to come out, they should have asked me sooner and done the C. My child has had mild delays and I cant help but wonder if its related to this delivery and that they let me labor with a baby in distress too long just to get the natural birth they assumed I preferred without asking me during.

I would give no stars if could..The office is ridiculously awful. When they answer the phone act like we are bothering them and I get the big old huff like they got better things to do.. The office staff is in desperate need of social skill classes on how to NOT act like phone calls are bothering you when thats your job.Scripts rarely get to their destination.. When they do that are late. I get a condescending attitude like im some kind of junky when NO your the one mixing it up, Almost every time I call to get one script filled they think Im talking about another.This literally happens almost every month.Scripts for sleep studys cant seem to make it to the place they need to go either after multiple phone calls talking to the same person. Apparently faxing skills arent needed here.They should Fire the whole staff n start from scratch.. Had it not been for DR Capaccio being such a great, kind and understanding doctor Id been gone a LONG time ago..

I only have good things to say about the midwifery practice based at MCHC. Yes, wait times are usually long, but thats because the midwives take their time with each patient.All my appointments were a minimum of 30-45 mins long, where my midwife, Kristi Sabatino, patiently answered all questions and gave me the good, detailed information I was looking for. She was very thorough, knowledgeable and had the best bedside manner of any healthcare professional Ive seen in my life. Highly recommend her to any woman seeking care for pregnancy and childbirth.I had a wonderful birth experience as well, and never felt rushed or pressured to make decisions. I would recommend this practice to any woman looking for good pregnancy and birthing care.

Most people set an appointment so they can schedule their day around that appointment. So I made arrangements with my job to come in at 11:30am seeing that the appointment was for 9:45am. It is now after 11am and still waiting to see the doctor!!! What a joke!!

I like the staff, very clean place, the doctors and assistants of very competent, respectful doctors, and most importantly they guide and listen to you.
