Barber (Ryan Kuehlewind) was unprofessional when I asked him to further cut my hair in the back to make it lay better. He said “I don’t have time for this” he didn’t like that I was asking him to spend extra two mins to fix it while his next appointment was there. He was rude and unprofessional. This was my first (and last) time going there. If you choose to go to this place, then schedule an appointment with another barber who might be more professional and patient.

I was in from out of town and did some research to find a spot for a well needed haircut. After reading reviews on several spots I booked a time with Ryan. They did a great job keeping everyone separate and safe during Covid and with conversation and a photo of myself with the haircut I wanted I walked out extremely satisfied with one of the best haircuts I have ever gotten.If and when I am back in town I will certainly be returning !

Being there twice so far, my haircut wasnt on point. First time, Frankie cut my hair; he left lines, strands of hair, crooked hard part. Second time I went, not as bad but still, strands of hair and no hard part. Attention to detail needs to be applied, especially when someone pays 25 dollars plus 10 dollars for a total of 35.

First time client to Rust Belt. I had Jazmin do my hair. I chose to do online scheduling which was easy. The shop was very laid back and had a cool vibe. Jazmin made me feel comfortable and relaxed and was very knowledgeable with information on my dry scalp issues. Prices were fair and I would go back. The haircut looked GREAT!

Price was reasonable, location is accessible. Marlowe is great, quick at what he does and well done. Happy to have found a new home for my haircuts

Rust Belt has an awesome atmosphere and the employees are very welcoming. The thing to watch for is they may change what type of service you are receiving. My barber seemed to be rushing me through and when I asked about the beard trim part they said they only had time to cut my mustache back. When I checked my email after the appointment, I saw I had an email that my service type had been changed. So just make sure that you get what you want when you go!

I would recommend Rust Belt Barbering to anyone looking for a place to get a haircut. The place was nice and my haircut was amazing. I booked with whoever had time and ended up with O, and I couldnt have had a better experience. He told me what he was doing/thinking in terms of my haircut which was perfect because I like to know whats going on while also engaging me in a great conversation. Tldr: Loved the experience and overall welcoming atmosphere of the shop.So the longer version: Ive been growing out my beard for a few months now, and Ive invested myself into taking care of it and incorporating it into my aesthetic. I was therefore a little nervous going in, but I read a lot of good reviews before choosing Rust Belt.The online scheduling is easy and convenient. The communication that goes along with that process kept me up to date the entire time.I had Valentino as my barber and he did a great job. In another month or two, when the beard starts to go a little too mountain man on me again, Ill be looking to reschedule with him.

On 2/6 I schedule an appointment for a cut and beard trim at noon. At 10:30am the barber called me and stated he has traffic court and was running late. He asked to change time to 12:30pm. I said yes. After rescheduling my work day, I arrived at 12:40. The barber gave me attitude stating he has a another client at 1:00, and why am I late? I stated I had to reschedule my work day Becasue of the change of time, but my appointment was booked for an hour, why is their a client at 1pm. The barber continued to be rude and arrogant in the middle of the salon in front of customers and other barbers. Stating it doesn’t take him an hour to cut hair and he doesn’t like to work back to back on people. I stated I would like a refund and will never patronage this salon again. Person at the desk said nothing and just ignored the exchange in the middle of the salon.

The atmosphere of the place is very chill and the prices are worth it. I was super worried about moving to a new neighborhood and finding someone to cut my hair - but O always does a fantastic job! The rest of the staff is very friendly and I will definitely be coming back here for a long time.

Wanted to change barbershops, tried out Rust Belt today. Got an appointment in 45 minutes and got Marlowe for my barber. He did an excellent job cutting my hair from almost shoulder length into a faded side part. Perfect cut, highly recommend.

Its a great atmosphere to get a cut and I thought Id try something new. But was disappointed cause I was being rushed I had to tell them my hair level wasnt even on both sides well at the register and had to go back in the chair a second time. Then I said what about my beard but they said I didnt schedule for my beard but I did 100%. Cause I had someone right next to me when I was scheduling telling me what to get. And i confirmed as well before the call was over. The end results was the shave was great with the straight razor no complain there but hair cut was horrible and even ended up with a bald spot not happy at all. First time there and it was very disappointed.

Being from far or of town and needing a haircut, I decided to try rust belt barbering. I got more than a haircut, I received an amazing experience and hair transformation. These guys might have given me the cut of a lifetime. Very friendly, very down to earth, and most importantly extremely welcoming. After 10 minutes I felt like part of the group. Awesome old school vibe with legit skilled barbers. Plenty of appointment times available. Friendly staff, I went in for the first time and they were fairly busy but check in was smooth. Offered me a frosty beverage while I waited a couple minutes. My barber Tyler talked with me to get a good understanding of what I wanted and checked in throughout the cut to make sure it was right. I got a clean, tight classic 60s style cut, 100% what I was looking for, even styled it for me and discussed products that would work best. I absolutely recommend this shop and Tyler for anyone looking for a quality classic barber treatment.

I had an unfortunate experience with one the barbers... after ownership heard of the issue, they swiftly acted and rectified the situation. BIG ADVICE.... before blindly picking a barber online and making an appointment.... call the shop and find out what that barbers strengths and weaknesses ARE! Just because they do female and male cuts does not mean that they are great at BOTH. And that’s ok, just make sure you investigate first.

I got a slick haircut and exaggerated confidence from Eddie. He was attentive and passionate about his work. The environment was nice and everyone appeared to be happy to be there on a Saturday. Only imperfection is that they were were running 30 minutes behind and it threw off my schedule. Overall it was the best barber experience Ive ever had. I will be back.

The atmosphere was unique but for not having a typical hairstyle my barber was familiar with, he didnt spend the time to understand how Id like it cut especially when I had a picture of a past cut that could have been used as a reference. I see its appeal and may be a nice place for others, just not for me.

Relaxing cool little hipstery barber shop. Its always busy when I drop by but not in a bad way. It has a feel of being lively. The Barbers all get along well and the environment is fun jovial and relaxing. Its not uncommon to see folks drinking a complimentary PBR while getting trimmed if thats your cup of tea. Really good experience. Megan gave me a great cut as well as some tips on how to make it look good when Im not there for her to work her magic. My first time there, online booking averaged 45min per appointment. What I didnt expect was a 7min clipper exclusive rush job with minimal communication. Typical questions asked while sitting down. I get feedback from past barbers about the top of my head because of my straight hair so I specifically asked to trim the top with scissors. All I heard was buzzing away the whole time. I was hoping for more communication about the details of my cut, especially when the session is marked for a brand new customer. Was asked if Id like product at the finish which I agreed to, but that never happened either. For the caliber of service I believed this shop can offer, I felt like just another customer.Also, popping the question next week so thanks for the chop job 🙃

Then I found Rachel, Ive grown so close with her. she not only does an amazing job with my EXTREMELY hard to handle hair, but she is also so down to earth and shes an all around amazing person. Was really looking forward to get a haircut, beard trim and shave at this place based on other reviews. My barber was pretty insecure throughout the haircut, left the beard uneven, didnt use any shaving cream when starting to shave and didnt use after shave when it was all done. I had to go home right away to fix it up. I guess I was just unlucky since the other babers appeared a lot more knowledgeable and experienced. Ill try going once more with a different barber.EDIT: When I mean no shaving cream I mean no gel either. I am not sure who the barber was, but it was a guy. Upon a closer look, my mustache is really uneven so I will definitely have to pass by on Monday.
