Filing a legal suit against Maranto Insurance. William Hourigan refuses to cancel homeowners policy at my request, which has no mortgage on it and thus no lender obligation. This is ILLEGAL AND CONFIRMED AS ILLEGAL THROUGH LEGAL CONSULTATION. William peddled the line standard procedure is to not cancel a policy unless proof from new insurer is made, however, while best policy and legally required on homes with mortgages, this is NOT LEGAL for homes without. Became unprofessional and rude over the phone once I told him this. At one point he had claimed he was not canceling the policy with period and end of discussion. This legal claim upcoming could have been prevented had William Hourigan followed the law. He chose not to and I hope Maranto understands who it has representing them and the upcoming litigation this will occur. I also have documentation on current coverage which has remained unchanged since 10/30/20 incase any additional illegal activity occurs where William attempts to change coverage without my consent.UPDATE 3/20/21: Jackie from Maranto was extremely professional and courteous and prompt in my handling my cancellation request. An experience completely unlike my profoundly unprofessional experience with William. Would adjust to 5 stars if William was no longer a part of Maranto. As a result of Jackies handling, I no longer have any legal claims to a suit and thus will not be filing.

A real live person answers the phone, fields your questions then informs and educates you regarding what your insurance needs actually are and will shop and find the best price for your exact needs. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience working with Mike Forster and the staff at the C.N. Maranto Agency. Mike helped me get my business, home and auto policies consolidated under one roof and laid everything out for me so I knew what was covered for each one. When I need proof of insurance the staff gets back to me immediately with paperwork. It has been wonderful working with this Agency.

This agency, by far, was one of the worst encounters that I have experienced with an in insurance agent. I called my agent to discuss their online bill paying service. The conversation took a turn and my agent told me I had just wasted 9 minutes...yes he was clocking this, of his time. Well as you can imagine, I was appalled. After hanging up, I emailed the owner of marranto agency, and she told me she was sorry I felt that way. -Really!!!!Who tells their paying client that Im wasting their time??? Totally unethical. This man should have been fired on the spot. But of course, he wouldnt be because of the amount of money he brings into the agency.Well good luck to you Bill Hourigan, I am deeply disappointed in you, and the agency. Oh, btw, Im now with a company that saved me 500.00 on my insurance. So....screw you
