Prices have skyrocketed, selection isnt what they say is available when you get there and make you pay more for what they do have. Waste your time going over all the extra charges get ready to swipe your card THEN and only then they tell you they are also gonna charge you an extra $300 deposit. So an already over priced $400 rental turns into $700+. No thanks

This rental began with an unexpected and unrequested major upgrade from the class of vehicle I reserved. I declined the Enterprise insurance because it was expensive, priced according to the upgraded vehicle I was given, a 2020 Ford Expedition. However, I did purchase Roadside Assistance Coverage. Unfortunately, I hit a large whitetail deer the night before returning the vehicle to Enterprise. Initially, Enterprise was going to leave me stranded at the location of the accident, because they were only concerned with locating and retrieving the wrecked vehicle. Once I was able to procure a replacement vehicle, they added insult to injury by charging me for an extra day on the contract. When I called the local rental office I use the next morning after the accident, the person I spoke with said they were too busy to handle my problem and to call back that afternoon. The insurance would have added at least 50% to the weekly cost I was budgeting for the use of a rental car while my car was being repaired.

I called and spoke with Brian. He claims to be the manager. I was to have my car serviced at Blevins Body Shop in Brownwood, TX next door to the Enterprise office. Brian refused to rent a car to me because I have an out of state license, and have no Credit Card. We got rid of our credit cards years ago. We moved to Brownwood, TX about a year ago, and my Oklahoma license are still valid so I never bothered getting them replaced. I live here, and work here, and bank here. I have all kinds of proof that I am a local resident. He absolutely refused to do anything for me at all. He had a smart aleck and flippit attitude. He just said he is not able to adjust this rule. So basically I am being punished for not having a credit card. Remember, I do have a valid checking account with a debit card attached to it. I live here and work here, and was going to have my car fixed at a local shop directly next door to him, and he refused to help me. I wouldnt rent from Enterprise EVER, even if my life depended on it. Absolutely no customer service skills at all. I tried filing a complaint with the BBB and theyre not even listed.

Great service professional folks. If you get the insurance none of the fancy cars will be available, but if you dont get the 20$ insurance thats when they have the sports cars. Why the F are they wearing suits in Brownwood Texas? I dont trust business like that. 10$ I think for radio stations what!!!? Its 2020. You will be paying like 200$ for a three day rental thats why they get 3 stars instead of 4. They have a girl I. There that wont say a word to you, and thats weird too 👀Theyre very patient explaining everything to you, they keep you informed of everything which is very good. 3 and a half star. Better prices it would be a 5 star.

Honestly the worst car rental place I have ever been to in my life. We booked a rental that was needed to get from Coleman to the Austin airport. On 7/3/20, we drove around 35-40 miles to go get our scheduled rental at 3pm. We gave it extra time and didn’t show up until 4:30pm. Upon arrival, Bryan told us that they had several people request to extend their rentals (which they granted), and they didn’t have a vehicle to left to rent to us. Bryan seemed very dismissive about the entire issue and basically said that things like this happen. My take was, no, typically if you have a scheduled appointment that can no longer be honored due to failure to plan for already booked assignments (as opposed to allowing people to continue to extend their contracted end dates), the minimum that should happen is a courtesy phone call to inform people driving in from miles away that their scheduled vehicle is no longer available. Instead, we wasted 2 hours out of our busy itinerary, and about $40 in gas to return empty-handed and are still trying to figure out how we are going to get the rest of the way to Austin to catch our flight.Bottom line, this company does not commitments, don’t care about how extensions with existing customers affects their other clients plans that haven’t rented yet, do not give clients courtesy calls for cancellations, then will be very dismissive of the situation upon arrival.I really hope that no one else has to rely on this company for their travel plans like we did, and recommend driving to somewhere like Abilene or any other location (regardless of distance) where businesses may be run as they should be. They had a truck their too that they didn’t allow us to take because it was already “booked” by another client (just like we had booked a vehicle), except that we were actually present for obtaining the vehicle with a need to get to an airport. They have no rhyme or reason to how they conduct business.My biggest issue with the management of this company is that they didn’t even give us a courtesy call telling us not to make the drive all the way because of their over commitment (already a management blunder). Horrible they are the only gig in town so my suggestion is to find another town, even if it means driving many miles out of the way.

Reserved a mini van on Friday for Monday morning at 10:00am. Got there, A guy who work there told us sorry we don’t have it. So what was the point of reserving it 3 day ahead? Sorry!!that all he can said. Unreliable!!! I close my shop for one day for nothing!

This is the worst Renta car place I have ever tried to conduct business with. Them took it upon themselves to cancel my reservation so they could rent car a day earlier to some other person. The reservation was made and confirmed by insurance company and they also called me to verbally confirm. When I arrived to pick up, they wanted me to drive another hour to another store. Ridiculous. Btw, Brian is rude!

I regularly rent from this location. Only 2 more rentals for gold membership. YAY! For me. Anyways, my last rental went well. Received a really nice clean vehicle, friendly service and once again just loved the overall experience.Missed Phil this time around hes usually the one that rents out the vehicles I drive butthis new person demonstrated the very same knowledge and professionalism that he does. Keep up the good work and youll keep me as a satisfied customer.

99.9 % of the time it is awesome. The other .1% is human oversight. I am always greeted in a polite manner, they do come pick you up if you request. The only MAJOR drawback is the limited parking. Always have a nice vehicle and it is clean and in good shape!

They only posted a reply to this so they could look like they care. Got in a wreck in Goldthwaite while on vacation. Geico set me up with them. Got there five minutes to closing only to find out they dont take bank cards from people who live more than thirty miles away. Other branches will take a bank card with credit check. Refused to even try to find a solution for us. They are the only game in town, so we were stuck in Brownwood. Didnt have any options and all friends and relatives were far away. Ended up with a $180 cab ride to Abilene airport where a very friendly Avis representative set us up with a vehicle. Enterprise obviously doesnt need my business and is not even willing to bend a little to help a fellow human being who is a customer of a company, Geico, with whom they have a contract. They have lost a customer for life. Long live Avis!

Very friendly and helpful, great rates. The only issue is they dont always have cars available, even when youve made reservations well ahead of time. They do their best with what they have, but if you absolutely have to have a vehicle at a certain time, you may be disappointed.

My wife and I got our rental via our insurance company. The communication initially was very good, and they arranged to pick us up in a timely manner. Unfortunately thats where the positive experience ended.The vehicle we were rented was picked up from its previous renter, then used to pick us up, and immediately given to us. It wasnt inspected before we received it - evidenced by the fact that there was mud spread throughout the engine compartment, and we found empty booze bottles from the previous renter under the drivers seat.We wouldnt have discovered this at all, except that the vehicle was also due for an oil change. We were asked to take it to a Firestone location where the work would be performed at no charge. Firestone proceeded to say they couldnt work on the vehicle and it needed to be returned to Enterprise because something was wrong. They thought the vehicle might have flood damage due to the amount of mud caked over the entire engine compartment. (That assumption is due to the fact that wed driving the vehicle home to Houston about a week after Hurricane Harvey; it wasnt in the Houston area until nearly all the flooding had receded, and was never exposed to any flood water.)Since the vehicle was considered a possible safety risk, the Brownwood location instructed us to swap it out for another vehicle at a local Enterprise branch. I explained that none of the local branches had any vehicles in stock due to the damage from Hurricane Harvey (over half a million vehicles were destroyed throughout the area). The associate in Brownwood dismissively told me I was wrong -- that the branches simply had all their vehicles reserved by other customers who would be picking them up, but that they would prioritize my situation because it needed to be swapped. I told him he was welcome to call the local branches and find out the information I gave him was correct. Hours later, after doing so, he called to inform me that none of the local branches had vehicles available. That wasnt exactly news to me.The best part of our experience with Enterprise was when it finally ended and we didnt have to deal with them anymore. Ill never choose them for my rental car needs in the future. If I need an insurance rental at any point, I will request that my insurance company utilize an alternate rental agency. Ive never had a less satisfactory experience renting a car, and I travel a lot, both for business and recreation.

I rent from this Branch at least 2 or 3 times a month, mostly for work. Eric and the staff at the branch are very friendly and always accomadating. They make renting a car very carefree. Im always helped quickly and rarely have a wait. Ive used other Enterprise branches but the Brownwood branch by far, has the best service and friendliest people.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE 100% OF THE TIMES IVE BEEN HERE!!!!This location has always made getting a rental car an absolute experience fron hell. Terrible customer service agents. With piss poor attitudes who will flat out tell you they dont make enough to have to care. We have had an appointment to rent a car for 3 weeks now, and it was supposed to be for 9am. We show up 10 minutes early, theyre rude and refuse to accept any forms of payment we have on hand. We leave, get approved payment, come back, then they tell us there will be a 20-30 minute wait for us to get the car because they dont have it ready. That was at 9:40am. At 10:10, we are still sitting in the parking lot, staring at the car they have to wash and detail, while it still sits right beside us. No one has touched it, walked over to it, nothing. Finally, at 10:18, 38 minutes after they told us it would be 20-30 minutes before our vehicle was ready, they take it to be washed/detailed. At 10:40am, became husband has complained about their poor customer service, horrible attitudes and inadequate service, they REFUSE to rent him a car, even though they have already taken our payment. So, even if you schedule your rental car 3 weeks in advance, call the Friday prior to pickup to verify its still on the books, arrive early for your 9am appointment, pay them, and wait two hours, YOU WILL BE TURNED AWAY if you so much as dare complain. RENTER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😠😠😠😠😠

Made a reservation 5 days in advance online. When I called a day before to confirm they asked if I would be paying with credit or debit and I said debit. When I arrived at the location to pick up my rental they told me they could not release the vehicle to me because I do not live here in brownwood. The fact that this information was never disclosed when I made the reservation online or when I called the location

My mother was dieing of cancer. I moved from Fort Worth to help her get to chemo appointments. Our car broke down and we went to rent a car... the cancer center was reimbursing us cuz we were struggling as it was to make it. This Enterprise center had all the info and denied us cuz my license address was Fort Worth and they told me they had problems with people from out of town stealing their cars. My mom was sitting there, bald head, shaking.... confused and upset. Y’all were cruel and evil and she’s gone now. And it took you 3 weeks to respond to the guy Dusty who complained last so I won’t hold my breath.

I had the worst of experiences at this particular location. Not only they did not have the type of vehicle that I reserved and was told would be ready when I showed up, but Aeries the store manager there was so nonchalant about it. Worst, that woman treated me as if I was going to steal her rental and never return it. Never mind that I have been renting from Enterprise since 1997. I can only imagine how first time renters are being treated at that location.

I have rented from this location many times because there are no other choice within 100 miles of Brownwood. The staff here are rude and treat the customer as if they are asking them for a favor. This last rental, as usual I ,was rented a car that had the check engine light on and was getting ready to drive 2000 miles but I dare not say anything because it would be no car for me if I complained. I always get a dirty car with no fuel and they always charge for 4 gallons anyway even when you return the car full of fuel.The lady that is in charge is very rude and refuses to look at the customer as well as being uninformative.She also has no idea of how much she is charging your card and really doesnt care. I traded this last broke down rental at another friendly location and got the top notch service that all customers should get. Its worth the extra 100 mile drive to Abilene to avoid this Brownwood location.

I did an online car rental to pick up @ 12 noon. When I arrived I was told they had called my house # and that there were no vehicles available. That I would be called back @ 4pm or could I wait. I said No I live 30 mi away. Never heard from them but I called about 4:15pm and was told by a female there were no vehicles and perhaps i should call Stephenville and hung up. I would never have made it to the place either at that time. I think they should have tried harder and provided a better serviice

I rented a car last week from Brownwood location of Enterprise Rent a CarI was very pleased at the service they put forward to help me rent a car. They did have a good selection of cars and the one I got was very clean.The cost was just as they had advertised and pre claimed it would be. Not only did I appreciate the service but also the fact that Yes they do pick up customers to come pick up a car at their location. I live 30 some miles from Brownwood and they sent a driver to pick me up and one other person as well. What more can you ask for in service. And yes the staff was very professional and appreciative and was very helpful with the whole transaction. Good people !!1 I recommend them to anyone! Thanks Enterprise....Brownwood!

Recent experience was okay, but prior to this late trip I was told to be picked up from Toyota dealership when I was having my car fixed. 1 hour and 10 minutes later, no pick up service was provided and I had to ask the Toyota dealership in Brownwood to drop me off to the Enterprise station instead. So much time wasted. 1/5.
