The staff and volunteers are doing Gods work, Bless them all and the magnificent creatures theyre saving.I would like to see him work with local 24-hour emergency veterinarians, constructing an outlying chain of drop off locations for injured birds. This would make help available day and night and allow people in outlying areas the opportunity to save birds or are unable to get to Broomfield.

I hit a hawk with my truck, then I wrestle to get it into a bucket in a milk crate, then it got loose and fought me at work in the truck for 2 hours! Couldnt take him out there until I was off work and they couldnt come and get him, so I have to work me and my wife robe the hawk out to the place 45 minutes away. It was after hours but they were all still there busy with other birds and they took my new friend in immediately. I get weekly updates on his progress and so far hes doing good hes just got some head trauma. I look forward to the date or they can return him into the wild and I hope youll be there, in the meantime I donate as much as I can as often as I can to help other birds and to make up for what Ive done. I dont know what I would do without the place, I dont know what the Hawk would do without the Place either.

So far Ive taken two birds here and can not be happier to know that they are in good hands! First was a young crow who didnt have enough flight feathers and a bunch of ravens where ganging up on it. Second is a great horned owl that was hit by a car. They have been nothing but professional and you can tell they love what they do.

I give 5 stars just because this place exists and takes in several hundred raptors a year.We discovered an injured great horned owl in the street in front of our house unable to stand or fly, but very alert. We covered the bird with a blanket, put it in a dog carrier and brought it to their location east southeast of Louisville. They received the owl and assessed it immediately: no apparent fractures but likely a spinal injury. They said there would give it anti-inflammatories and see how it went from there. We provided some information on a form and we were given a reference number in case we were interested in checking on the owl online. We were unable to find the link on the website to check.

Upon bringing in an injured hawk to the Birds of Prey Foundation, the team available was quick and precise with extensive preparations to care for each situation. They were attentive and polite to us as well and very informative! We were more than happy with how the foundation has provided such care for these beautiful creatures. Thank you Birds of Prey Foundation team, you are amazing!!

If anyone can help a sick or injured raptor, these people can! Theyre also friendly, caring, and very knowledgeable and have taught me something new every time I have brought them a bird! If youve ever brought a bird here or even if your just reading this, they do important work here a definitely worthy of a donation if you can!

Birds of Prey Foundation is devoted to raptor rehabilitation above all else. They care about the birds and do everything they can to help them get a second chance in a world rather damaged by our human cities.
