Talked to the owner a week before I took a chefs knife and a pocket knife in, and was fairly optimistic. Chefs knife needed a sharpening (it was quite dull), the pocket knife needed a mark taken off the side, but was brand new and factory sharp (Benchmade, so very, very sharp). Got the knives back, and they couldnt take the mark off, but sharpened the already sharp knife and charged me for a sharpening. Though I havent tried the chefs knife yet, the pocket knife is now duller than when I took it in. Great. I dropped off a second pocket knife when I picked up the other two, and immediately called when I got to work to cancel when I found out how dull they made the other one. Maybe theyre better at lawnmower blades, but dont take any serious work in.Update:Got a chance to use the chefs knife. It was acceptably sharp on most of the blade, but not the bottom part closest to the handle... pretty good but not what I would expect from a professional sharpening service. Raised from one star to two, but the pocket knife was messed up and dulled, even though I never even wanted a sharpening on it, just the mark removed. Taking them in to another shop to fix the pocket knife and see what he thinks about the chefs knife.
