I like this cleaners. But theyve adopted very strange hours recently (I suspect COVID-related). But, the hours make it extremely difficult to pick up your cloths if you work 9-5 or, in my case longer hours. Id suggest they open much earlier and close earlier or open much later and close later so that office workers can easily pick up. Otherwise, find another cleaners.

First and foremost, do not go here. Instead, go to Lapel’s dry cleaning (I’ve never had any issues with them).This “dependable” dry cleaners managed to lose my clothes for over a week (when they promised it’d be done in 24 hours). I still never received one of my dress shirts back, nor a reimbursement for it. While the staff was not rude, they were completely incompetent. I highly recommend you go anywhere else.If you value your dry cleaning then avoid “dependable” cleaners!

Great service! Notified/updated by phone and text and when I picked up the coat It was cleaner than expected! It had paint on it (from brushing against a newly painter wall) which I didn’t think would come out but it did! Highly recommend this cleaner.

Im new to the area and chose Dependable because it was close. I am so pleased that I did. The salesperson was very helpful and efficient, my sweater was beautifully cleaned and packaged and it was ready when it was supposed to be. They will certainly become my cleaners of choice.

Was told my tailoring “would be about $15” but then when I went to pick up my items I was told they would be $15 per item. The guy checking me out laughed when I brought up the discrepancy and made no effort to rectify the situation. I told him I would not be returning to their business and he just told me to “have a nice day.” Worst customer service I’ve had in a while. They don’t care if they mess up and they don’t care about losing customers. Do not get scammed here like I did.

After paying the deposit (close to $30), handing over my boots, and waiting several weeks I got a call saying they would not be able to clean them. This would have been fine if the clerks recognized on sight that the hole would be an issue and told me before I paid and waited a few weeks. Then after getting my boots back uncleaned after several weeks, it took 3 phone calls, a visit to the store, and an email to get the managers attention and my deposit back in the mail another week and a half later. The clerks seemed nice and courteous enough, but that was a huge hassle just to have my dirty boots returned to me, only to get reimbursed my deposit over a month after I paid it.

Don’t come here looking for 1-day service. Brought a shirt I needed for an important meeting early in the morning and was told that it would be ready same day at 5:30. Not only was it not ready at that tome but it wasn’t even on location and no one knew where it was. I had to go out and buy a new shirt. I received a text 2 days later saying my shirt was ready

I brought my down comforter in and was told it would take up to two weeks. Dependable had it back in a week looking brand new. Not only is dependable my preferred dry cleaner but the staff in Brookline are absolutely amazing.

I was a potential new customer and attempted to come here today. The store was closed with a sign on the door saying that they would return at 12:05pm. By 12:40, no one had showed so I went to the place down the street on Harvard instead. There was a small group of people outside also waiting and they said this has happened before when a particular staff member is on shift.

Dropped off dry cleaning, shirts to be laundered and a pair of jeans to be hemmed. I was guaranteed that ALL items would be ready at 4:00 pm on Thursday. Laundry and cleaning were fine, but Jeans were not available for pick-up when I arrived at 4:30. Disappointed, as I left town the next day and had planned to pack the jeans to wear when traveling

Always friendly and courteous. Aim to be as obliging as possible. Reliable as to when an item will be ready, or to be very sure you understand when it will be ready. Inspect everything to make sure it is done to my liking. Redo whenever Im not happy.

For over Over one year and half since I have been a customer of Dependable Cleaners in Coolidge Corner, I am very pleased with the friendly service from your beautiful staff and quality results. It is the first cleaners that is pro active with reminding me that my garments are ready via email and so forth. Well managed operation. I am well pleased. Thank you.

I had a great experience here. I had to get a shirt cleaned very last minute and they were able to get my shirt back in under 24 hours. They even gave me a personal call when it was ready.

Super easy super fast, went above and beyond my expectations. Nice gentleman even helped me bring my cleaned items out to the car.

Dropped off 3 winter coats 5 months ago in November and only 2 came back. Have made repeated visits to ask about status of missing coat and always been given the same answer, were checking on it and will get back you (which they never do), and which started being a ridiculous response about 4 1/2 months ago. Its not really about the coat but the fact that I havent offered some sort of compensation. Or even an admission that the coat is lost and not coming back! Very disappointed in their customer service as the store is conveniently located for me and they have a really quick turnaround on alterations. Will take my business elsewhere.

Arnita is friendly and helpful. Services are fast and quality is very good. They give a bag for easy drop off and keep a credit card on file which makes getting in and out very easy. That said they are pricey. Most cleaners are but they are definitely at the higher end. As a chain I suspect they have overhead the smaller shops dont

I was traveling and needed wash/dry/fold services. I dropped off my clothes and they were not ready the following day at 5:30 or even the next afternoon, before 5:30. I got a text message 12 minutes after they closed that they had my clothes ready for pickup. I picked up my clothes the next morning and they were clean and folded as expected.There was very little apology, no offer on how I could get them sooner, and no compensation on cost for the delay.Thankfully, I had enough time to accommodate the delay. Had I known, I would have chosen a different location or stayed up and washed them myself.

I recently had a pair of shoes cleaned through Dependable and was not 100% pleased. I returned to the store and the woman in attendance was very polite. She informed me that they would send them back to the shoe cleaner to see if they could fix them, and if not she would elevate the incident to her manager. No fuss. Very professional. Otherwise, I am always pleased with the turnaround time and the state of my clothes when I get them back from Dependable. This was the first time I chose to have shoes cleaned through them.

I had a disappointing experience with Dependable Cleaners when they gave me the wrong pricing for a wedding dress cleaning. I had called and they told me it would cost $40 - I thought that was a great deal so I took my business there (with other items as well) even though I was at Sunflower cleaners down the street. I dropped off my items, they gave mt the pricing, and I left. Later, the manager called and said his new hire gave me the wrong price for the wedding dress and itd be $300! This was essentially a (albeit unintentional) bait and switch. I asked if he could honor the other cleaners price of $200 and he said no. This ended up being a hassle and waste of time as I had to go back and get my dress, go back to the original cleaners I was at. It sounds like the manager needs to work on making sure an experienced employee is present or on call during working hours.

Horrible service. And I used to be their VIP member. I had a Burberry wool coat that I requested for premium service which has been done through regular dry clean and the coat was completely ruined. The coat came back feel thin and loose. The manager refused to admit it was their oversight. At the end, they agreed to redo the coat using premium service which includes steam the lining. I got my coat, back, nth got done, no steaming, nothing.Also, they ruined my MIUMIU cardigan. Who knows what they have done to dry clean those clothes, my cardigan came back with two buttons broke in half and one was chipped. I can only imagine what kind of forceful mechanisms they use to clean these delicate garments.Overall, poor quality service and poor customer service.

Excellent servie! Ive been using them for years and they got nasty oil off my expensive jacket like brand new! I was very worried that itd never come off but they did it!. I couldnt be happier. They had to try it twice and they were very good at explaining to me what was going on and what needed to be done. I felt very well taken care of. I had terrible experiences at other dry cleaners over the years and got my expensive clothes completely ruined but this place is always spot on. Very pleased with their service!

Last Saturday I left 13 items for cleaning.Among those items was a male black “ Giorgio Armani” suit.Last evening during pick-up the trousers of the specific suit were missing!!!!!!To my surprise when I asked them, were they were, they said “ they didn’t know!!!”Besides the obvious CONSIDERABLY HIGH cost-to-buy of the specific “Giorgio Armani” trousers, it is more than apparent that I CANNOT BE WEARING the suit without its matching trousers...All in all, I believe it’s highly unprofessional and shows a great lack of respect to lose ANY item trusted to them for cleaning.... but it’s truly annoying and disturbing to lose a truly expensive one, which IS IMPOSSIBLE TO REPLACE !!!!I feel deeply sad, mad and betrayed from “Dependable Cleaners” from the item deprived from me!!!!

Dependable cleaners is a pretty good place to get dry and fold. I use it regularly because I don’t have a washer/dryer in my apartment. The reason I give 3 stars is because there have been a couple of times where I have been other people’s clothes mixed into my laundry. I returned them but I’m worried that my clothes have been lost in someone else’s laundry and I haven’t noticed yet. I also have lost several pairs of socks.

I dropped off two suits last week and it was so clean. But unfortunately they damaged my pants little bit and I was supposed to wear it in my wedding day.

The items appear to be cleaned and pressed very well. I wish there was more parking near by (Harvard St in Brookline). The prices were reasonable and I had a coupon. I like the fact that frequent coupons are offered. In addition to the excellent dry cleaning, I have always found the people in the store to be very courteous and customer oriented. I will return. Horrible place, messed up several expensive pieces of coats, and broke all the bottoms of my wifes miumiu cardigan; I have cancelled my membership and everything. nobody should ever go there.

Found this place a few months ago when I moved back to K-Town and needed something in between home and work. The service is great! They pack your clothes neatly and your clothes come out looking like new. Parking can be hard sometimes but I try to go early on weekends or I park in the metered parking (a bit of extra walking never hurt anybody). I think its cool that it has a Starbucks. I drop off my clothes and pick up my morning coffee all at the same time. I just learned they do alterations so I plan on taking some pants to get hemmed.

When I pick up my clothes, they look better than when they were new. The people who work behind the counter are lovely and very helpful.

This was by no means my first visit to Dependable. I have been a customer for well over 15 years which should tell you that I am usually quite pleased with the service. I do think there are some anomalies in your pricing; for example, a simple lightweight outer jacket costs $16 to dry clean, while a high quality Harris Tweed sport jacket costs under $10. Your staff in Coolidge Corner, Brookline, is typically quite pleasant and efficient; your candid explanations when you cannot remove some stains, while disappointing, is appreciated. I would like to know more about your clothing repair services, the costs of specific repairs, and customer recourse should I have some question or concern about the repair (since I dont see a little old tailor working away on his sewing machine in the store!). Last, I try to take advantage of your coupon offers and wish there were more of them.

Worst experience, got two shirt to be tailored for just shortening. Charged $20 a piece and Took over a week and the been always told to come tomorrow to pick up. But the shirt got missing from the tailor and bad communication overall. Plus the staff are newbies and keep telling you they are new to this and are not familiar with the work. Everything looks like a mess in store. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Clothes were well done, finished early, and were reasonably priced.

I had a green chenille shirt with water damage that I had brought to several cleaners to get an evaluation of the damage and to see whether they were familiar with the cleaning process for this type of material. All of the cleaners concluded the material was not stained but matted down. I then brought the shirt to Dependable Cleaners in Brookline of which the lady staffing the front desk assured me their professional one-one service could certainly fix the shirts damage. I was told it would be ready a week later. So fast forward a week I call to confirm its ready and the guy on the phone says no itll be ready the following day. I call the following day and they say itll be ready after 5:30. I ask if theyre open until 7 p.m. (its tuesday) and the guy says they close at 5 everyday... Anyways, i arrive around 6 and theyre still open. The man tries to find my shirt and says its not ready. I let him know I called earlier to confirm and that they said it would be ready by 5:30. It had not been scanned into their system. He finds it. Shirt still has the same water damage. They accomplished nothing except an expensive money grab. I took the shirt home and lightly applied a cleaning agent and the water damage lifted and now looks great. Lesson of the day: Undependable Cleaners. Never again.

Brought in my Canada Goose coat for cleaning because I got an email from them about a all coats $9.88 promotion. In store, they denied the promotion because my coat is considered premium and wanted $54 instead. The promo email explicitly said no limit and did not mention anything on premium pricing. This is just awfully cheap of them.

The staff Woody was slow and generally negligent toward customers. Most outrageously, he forgot to tell me that a pair of summer shoes takes 45 days to clean at the cost of $42.50!!! Worst cleaning service in the area!!
