Finally found a barber shop that’s a step above the average quality without being super expensive or exotic. And the barbers are chill if you’re not in the mood for small talk. Always delighted with the attention to detail and skill.

The haircut was mediocre, Ive had a similar quality cut before at supercuts.Maybe they are really good with clippers, I cant judge that with my haircut. But the cut with scissors was just not good. Ive given it two weeks but you can still see a very clear and uneven cut line.The picture is two weeks after the haircut freshly washed and combed hair (it looks less noticeable then 1-2 days after, and clean combed hair makes it look better than what it looks at the end of the day when its messier)

Sylvia has been cutting and coloring my hair for a year and a half now, and I’ve never had a bad experience. Deep Blue is super professional and friendly and serves all kinds of customers and hair types. I don’t know the first thing about hair so I just ask Sylvia to make me look cool, and she delivers!

I have been going to this barber shop for about two years now, and my experience has always been excellent! They were the first place I tried out when I first moved to Boston, and both barbers I have had have been amazing. Staff is always very kind and helpful whenever you have questions about your hair, products, or a new style you may want to try.

I had a great cut with Shayne. I have long hair and wanted a technical cut on my bangs that went all the way round my shaved side of my head. It turned out amazing and Shayne has a way to make you feel very comfortable and taken care of. Highly recommend him for all hair cutting!

Shayne is a fantastic barber! Since moving to Brookline 2 years ago, I have been seeing him regularly and never had anything less than a great cut. He does great work with clippers and shears to give me the best haircut I could ask for. Paul and Shane are great at what they do. My partner and I have been going to the barber shop for about a year now and Ive loved every cut Ive had. Scheduling appointments is easy, and the studio is definitely mindful of covid-19 precautions. Theyre also LGBTQ friendly.

I love this salon. I was recommended this hair studio a few years ago and am now a lifer. Sylvia always knows exactly what I want done with my hair, and we are at the point where I completely trust her and when she asks me whats I want done, I tell her whatever you thinks best, I trust you. I dont have to put into words what I need done, because I probably couldnt articulate it - and I do believe she knows whats best. She does incredible blonde highlights which get the color and tone perfect. I am always 100% satisfied with the outcome of my hair and the experience. I also have to mention that I love for the little and furry guests that frequent the salon. They have the cutest dogs and children :).I couldnt recommend this place more!

Every single barber in this place is down to earth and not trying to prove anything like so many other barbers do. This is the best barber Ive been too yet and I plan to continue to go to them.

I like the barber service that Paul at Deep Blue provides but the barber shop just moved into the basement which is much less pleasing than the previous ground floor space. Not sure yet if Ill keep coming back.

My boy Hugh crushes it every single time. He has mastered the quarantine cut. Hand sanitizer, temperature checks, maneuvers around the mask. Sweet lines and great attention to detail.

I have been going to Deep Blue since 2014 after moving from New York to Boston. Sylvia is amazing!!! I trust very, very few hairstylists with my thick, curly hair; however Sylvia understood my hair and texture from the beginning and never attempted to flat iron it to death. She always provides great feedback and is hysterically funny, so every appointment left me with great hair and lots of laughs. Sylvia works hard, and it’s evident in her commitment to the salon and barbershop. Also, their products are incredible! I have a sensitive scalp and asthma, so hair salons oftentimes leave my gasping for air. Their products mean you don’t walk into the salon needing an oxygen tank. All in all, it’s an awesome salon with great people! Those with curly hair should definitely feel safe with Deep Blue!!

My first cut here was with Eddie who unfortunately went to work somewhere else. He did a good job; best haircut i had had in years. I think the service is pretty good no matter which barber you have, but it can be difficult to get an appointment - be sure to schedule a week in advance.

Great barber shop with some.of the best barbers in the area. The atmosphere is really nice and the actual hair cute is second to none. My only big complaint is they only allow a cash tip yet they take credit/debit cards for payment. This is definitely isnt the end of the world but I would love to see them allow for tipping with a credit card. That would make the experience basically perfect.

Ill say first, Ive had one haircut here, and I liked it. The guy wasnt super friendly, but that was alright. I booked online, they have a parking lot, was in and out, deserved a nice tip, good experience.I booked my next haircut online as well (was very booked) and upon arrival, found I was double booked with someone else. It was a hassle to get there that day, but thats not their fault. They said I could wait for 4 hours or come back on Saturday, which was not cool, but I booked the latter.Saturday comes and I was running a few minutes late so I called to let them know-- gave my ETA and they said no problem. On arrival, he was finishing up with previous haircut so, I was relieved. After waiting a few minutes for him to finish up, he starts to check me in, and then tells me, since Im now 12 minutes late, he couldnt take me - that I could wait THREE HOURS if I wanted. I pleaded with the guy for a minute with no avail.Needless to say, I wont be returning. The problem wasnt the scheduling or my proximity-- its how they handled the situations: very poorly.

Legends. Never gotten a bad haircut here. Paul is a great barber but as they’ve gotten more busy I’ve seen Hugh a few times too. I trust them to do a great job on my hair (I’m a dang skeptical person 😎)

Shayne does a perfect, precise job with my hair and truly takes the time to get to know each client and what their preferences are. My boyfriend has also been coming here for almost as long as me and sees Paul, who also does a fantastic job.Location is great, and parking is free in the rear lot. Also close to the D Line. This place has the best customer service, best cuts, and most comfortable experience in the Boston area. My boy Paul does an excellent job every time, hes quick, hes extremely good at what he does, and hes a great dude.You cant go wrong with these guys, take it from someone who is very critical and picky, they are awesome.

You can make an appointment online or walk in. This is a place for mens haircuts only. At the end of your cut youll get a hot lather neck shave to tidy up your hairline. You cannot leave tip by card, just cash. However, you can pay for the haircut with card.Edit: April 2017.I have been coming to this shop for the last year and have come to really appreciate this friendly and reliable shop. I have had my hair cut by the same barber now for a solid year. Now we know each other by name and she remembers how I typically want my hair cut. Even so, I still get my full time in the chair and a thorough cut. This shop has two barbers now, each building up repeat customers. I am too lazy to wait for impromptu haircuts, so I always book my time online.

This was my first time at Deep Blue Barber Shop and I highly recommend it. Eddie gave me the best hair cut Ive ever had -- bar none -- hes a true artist. I walked in with a mane of hair that hadnt been cut in over a year, and by the time Eddie was finished I was ready for a Hollywood movie set. Ive never looked forward to a haircut, but Im looking forward to the next!

Every single time I tried to make an appointment with them they were booked. Eventually they made me curious and I decided to take a week in advance appointment. At the time of the appointment when I got in the studio I was completely ignored. When I asked about my appointment I got a monosyllabic answer that I need to wait for 10 minutes, but the stylist that was assigned for the appointment seemed to have a job for at least 30 minutes. That was my experience, hope yours is better...

Came here before my wedding to get a hair cut and beard trim. Fiancee said it didnt look like I even got a haircut. I had to drastically trim down my beard because it was so uneven. I spoke to the barber at the start saying how a recent trip to another premium barbershop left me with a comb over effect that was uncomfortably hot, yet he still left me with extra long bangs that forced me to use pomade to hold my hair in place. Feel that the 50$, I spent was a waste of money.

Candace spent very little time cutting my hair and the layers looked very bad - they were way too short and not blended in at all so it looked like I had a poorly constructed ladder leading up my head...luckily I was able to get a refund and had to go somewhere else to get it fixed
