Company over all is good. Maintenance could use some help. I had wet carpet for 9 days total, 5 days before anything was done about it (this was the last instance, not counting the several other instances before) Carpet pad was not replaced in this event, even after I stressed my childs health issues. Maintenance has also been in my unit without me knowing. I came home to a maintenance person in my living room at 5:15. I was not notified they were coming. No letter mailed, I put a request in over a week prior but no notification that anyone was coming. This happened on multiple occasions. Maintenance also washed their tools out from a different project in my bathtub and never cleaned out my tub, left it gritty and gross. I work in this business and am aware of how these things are supposed to be handled, and this is not the appropriate way. Otherwise, the property manager and office staff was overall good.

I have to say that I absolutely love our home. The manager and my neighbors are great as well. I definitely would recommend living here! The colonial square is nice for my kids to play with the other children here. When we are outside its like one big family. I also have to say is that our manager D is a saint, the kids love her and she does activities with all the kids around here. I love it and so do the kids!

Currently renting with mills as a property manager, had an ex roommate run into the garage a month ago, was told there would be someone there to take care of it in about 3-4 days. already overpay what the place is worth just because it has a garage. Haven’t been able to use that in a month and no sign of it getting fixed, but they haven’t offered to take anything off of rent and are dragging their feet with repairs... would not recommend....And now I asked to get at least something taken off my rent for the ridiculous inconvenience, was denied. But at least they offered me a $25 gift card after I had to spend $100 in supplies to cover the hole because these people couldn’t even let me use a tarp...

Kudos to Mills for giving me back most of my deposit!! Even though Im a responsible renter other rental companies always seem to make my deposit disappear. Andrew Wegner was great to work with, even when we had to get out of our lease early due to military service. They did a great job communicating with us about maintenance visits as well. The apartment was a great price, well maintained and had a good feeling for the neighborhood.

Our family has nothing but positive feedback on Mills Property Management and our property manager Sue Hanson. They are quick to help when needed and provide guidance on any processes involved with the rental side. They have easy on line payment methods as well as the property is kept up to date. Mills Property Management, which manages Village Green Apartments does a fantastic job of keeping the complex modern and up to date. The complex manager is a wonderful person, who is easy to talk with and takes the tenant into consideration when dealing with problems or repairs. The office is open daily during the week as to accommodate tenants. Look no further than Village Green Apartments. It is a quiet and clean place to call home!

Kristy helped me find the perfect apartment! Moving 400 miles can be very scary but she made the process of finding a home very easy. She is very knowledgeable and helpful. I spoke with maintenance yesterday and the person I spoke with was very nice and patient. I wish I would have gotten her name.

The property sight at Colonial Square apartments is very family friendly. The location is great during the evening time and its very peaceful in the early mornings. The landlord is super friendly and approachable. Denise is good at managing the property and has a very good upkeep on the grounds. Its overall a good place to raise a family.

I live at colonial square. Dee was super helpful with the application process and easy to communicate with. Maintenance is quick. I havent lived here long, but so far its been good. The property itself is pretty outdated and thats the one downfall and why I gave 4 stars. Would be nice to see some updates.

Mills Property Management is a wonderful company! They care about their properties, as well as, their tenants. My experience has been quite favorable. Ive lived in the same apartment for almost 4 years now and am quite pleased with them addressing issues in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend them to a friend or family member.

Mills is a decent company overall but they could be doing a lot more when it comes to current renters as far as letting people know when they will be doing work or when they will be doing inspections.I was notified about work they would be doing and they sent out three separate letters to push back the week they would be doing work.On another occasion I was studying in my apartment and there was a knock on my door for an inspection I said I didnt know there was an inspection because I was in my pajamas and neither on of the employees said a word and proceeded to inspect my apartment.I guess its tough to be in college and have people treat you like an adult.

I have years of experience working with property managers, big and small, and can say without a doubt that Mills is one of the best. Professional and courteous staff overseeing well maintained buildings. There arent many property managers that operate and maintain their units the way they would if they called them home; but Dee in Yankton does.

I have had such great experiences living here! And I am able to get ahold of someone IMMEDIATELY if something is wrong or if something needs fixed. Someone is always available or they return your call when they can. The hallways are always cleaned and snow/ice is always taken care of! I highly recommend these apts to anyone with small children. Very quiet and friendly environment.

I have lived at The Village Green Apt Complex in Yankton, SD for over a year now. The Apt was very clean and updated. The common areas are always kept clean and uncluttered. It is very quiet. The parking area is large and right in front of my building. I have a very few maintenance issues but any I have had were fixed immediately! I cant say Ive lived anywhere that maintenance has been so efficient. Mills has availability to pay rent online which is exactly what I like. There is an on-site manager through the week for any needs or issues that could occur. Dee(The manager) is very available and helps resolve things quickly. Overall I am very content in my apt.

I have delivered mail to the Colonial Square and Village Green for 5 years. Mills Property took over managing these apartments a few years ago. Wow!! What a difference an awesome company and a good on sight manager (Denise Peitz) can do for 5 apartment buildings. They are cleaner and smell so much better. The outside grounds are kept mowed and free from trash. Best of all they are now smoke free! They even started doing more thorough background checks on all applicants. The people that live there love Denise and she treats everyone with respect. Denise loves children and sees that they always get Christmas gifts and her summer grill outs for all the tenants are awesome. I have a great rapport with Denise. She helps me keep up on who lives where so the mail is delivered correctly and safely. I would highly recommend apartments managed by Mills Property especially those managed by Denise Peitz.P.S. Denise is very helpful with questions andresponds in a friendly and professional manor. She made sure minorrepairs were done quickly and fixed to my liking in my apartment.I like that this building is a clean facility.She is very busy but takes the time to meet with me on paperwork andfollows up to be sure all documents are on file.It is apparent that she knows her job well. Always a pleasure to visitwith her.Because of my good experience here ,I would recommend this property to others.

Compared to Moriarty rentals, this office is super nice, and way more professional. They manage a ton of different properties in town, from small apartments, large/luxury apartments, and town homes, some with garages. We rented a small-ish townhouse from them. It was recently updated and not bad, but we didnt care for the area or our neighbors. Then we went to a 1200 sq ft apartment with an underground garage. Those were pretty nice! The managers we had were always very helpful and willing to work with different needs.They do like to raise rent regularly. And you cant always expect to be grandfathered in to any price.

Elevator always down in Yorkshire ,out of 6 months of. Paying rent,at least 3.months,it has not woked

Currently living in the Maridian Lofts in downtown Yankton. The location is great and on the main strip for the evening life. Not too far from bars and restaurants. We rent a 2 bedroom apartment that looks fantastic inside! Our property manager is fantastic and she does a great job of taking good care of all our requests. Would recommend these properties to all my friends and family looking for an apartment.

The Internet thats included is absolutely terrible. They say that its only for schoolwork and such, but when you cant even Google the word banana with your laptop, I think somethings gor to change. They offer upgrades, but they arent free by no means. I mean the the place is nice and all, the rooms are not spacious. But when Internet service is included in rent, I should be able to do homework on my computer instead of my phone.

Manager Denise is very nice. I am just waiting on repairs for the bathtub faucet to work right so the shower works properly. The kids/parent deal is they need to get the bikes off the sidewalks and tenants leave there trash outside there cars etc they could be more conscious about that. I know there is no smoking anymore but l have at times smelled smoke in my apartment like its coming from someone elses apartment because l dont smoke and will never smoke. The parking lot driveway needs holes filled in it is like a wagon ride going out and coming in.

I wouldnt suggest renting from mills property, but unfortunately they run the whole town of brookings so students dont have much of a choice. My dads a landlord so I know what to expect from good landlord, mills is eh average. The only problems I had were during the weekends but mills isnt open then, only M-F till 5pm so I had to find solutions on my own to my parking, snow, and ice problems. Houses are nice and all but itd be nice if atleast one person was on-call on weekends for when problems like these arose. They own too many problems to adequately maintain them.

Very nice people helped when no one else would the apts have good atmosphere quite and very respectful... if this was a cemetery with a fence people would be dieing to get in .

I live at Mills Property I have for few months I love my place feels gud to have a place u can call home.Tenants are nice n landlord Denise is great whenever or if i have a problem.I sleep gud every nite neighbors are friendly and .my daughter loves that she has her own room.I would recommend Mills Property to anybody gud place to live.

You can never get ahold of the maintenance department. Kids turned off the power to my apt and even though Mills was aware of this, they never turned it back on. Food had to be thrown away. Now my fridge doesnt work and I have to buy all new food. That is, if I can ever get ahold of them to fix it...

I have lived at colonial square for 7 months,its close to work for me.quiet which is a plus.my neighbors are all so friendly,not a day goes by my neighbors dont say hello how are you or have a good day or good nite.aside from the one issue we were having but has now been resolved its been a good clean place to call home.dee has been helpful in every way,shes a good manager and should be praised for all that she does without dee problems would go unresolved.not to thrilled with peoples loud music or people who dont live in the apts.taking up tenant parking because they dont think they should have to park out front on the street or the young crowd smoking weed in their cars in the parking lot,those of us who live here dont care to smell your stinky skunky junk please take it off our property some of us enjoying sitting outside visiting enjoying the smell of the fresh air.kids need to be supervised and the screaming and yelling between kids and parents need to stop sime of us dont want to hear your arguments,please take it inside your apt that is child neglect ,i have heard some vulgar language coming out of young childrens mouths fighting with the parent.other thanthis i ferl at home in my apt.i like how big my living room bedroom and bathroom are.i also love my walk inn linen closet plenty of storage space.i recomend these apts to any single people out there its been a good place to live.
