My father’s burial was not straightforward. While he died in Michigan, we wanted a service in Chicago’s western suburbs where he lived and his burial plot was an hour outside Chicago. I contacted Hitzeman while Dad was in hospice. Not only could they handle those complications, they were prompt and started helping us with arrangements immediately, even though I kept telling them there was no rush - my dad was doing ok. Thank goodness they were on top of it all, because my dad took a turn and died much sooner than I anticipated. Thanks to Scott & Chuck, we were ready. Every call was answered immediately, every question answered promptly. The process, all of our options and the costs were clearly, thoroughly and patiently explained. Everything was prepared and ready exactly when it was supposed to be. No hitches. No surprises. Excellent service and extreme kindness during a difficult time.

Losing a loved one is never easy, it’s an extremely difficult and emotional time for a family but the staff at Hitzemans truly went above and beyond for my grandfathers service. They were empathic, professional, and accommodating even during Covid. They were extremely organized and detail oriented in a time of disorient and haze a family typically goes through when losing a loved one.
