I have been a customer of Central Auto Rebuilders since they first opened. With my bad luck I was lucky to have found them! Frank and Fred are honest, kind and caring. They truly want whats best for the customer and wont over charge you. The work that is done is amazing, you would never know there was ever any damage. As long as they are in business I will never go anywhere else!

Unfortunately we were victims of a hit and run but also we were able to avoid a bigger colision. We were not sure if behind the hit was more than what we can barely see and if it was worth to file a claim. We went with them and it was the most honest and professional service, they checked the damage and instead of trying to take my money they checked the car and gave me a truthful opinion and let me know that the damage is minimum to almost none and there is nothing major involved (just a couple of clips out of place). I really recommend the services, other place was just straight forward filling insurance papers and asking me to file the claim and pay the copay.

They are very helpful and they fixed the car two days before the expected date. Thank you so very much 😊

Love the professionalism and courtesy of this place. My car had minor damage and they fixed it extremely fast and were even able to fix something unrelated as well for me. Everything turned out great, and they do what they can to keep the customers best interest in mind.

I exclusively use Central Auto Rebuilders for body work on my car and my family’s cars. The work they do is excellent, and with great attention to detail. Recently I hit a huge pothole which did big damage, and when I rang Fred from Central he immediately sent a tow and looked after everything I have a business nearby and I always recommend central to my customers. 2008 Subaru Legacy w/sport package, garage kept, 30k original miles, pristine. My wife was hit in a lot. Left rear side and bumper damaged. After getting an estimate at another shop and a bad vibe, we were recommended to Central where I met one of the owners, Frank. A few week backlog before they could get to us, but worth the wait. I have had several repairs done at Central over the past few years. I have always been pleased with the results. This place does great work and they keep you updated about your repairs. I have sent several of my friends as well and always I get a good report.

Phenomenal as how I’d describe the entire experience, from appointment set up, to picking my keys back up.One of the things I really appreciated as odd as it sounds was that they can text your updates, which was a godsend for me because personal calls at work can be really hard.These guys finished up way more quickly than other people I’ve talked to who had work done, and the friends and family who looked at it couldn’t tell I had ever been hit. The thing looked better than I have ever seen it.I didn’t get any drama, or pitches for nonsensical stuff or services to buy, and it was ready in condition as promised, much earlier than I had anticipated being ready with the holidays.Fantastic experience.

I had an amazing experience! I had deep scratches on my car, which is a very difficult to paint color to match, and I went through my insurance, so I tried a new place and I was not disappointed! Not only did they match the paint PERFECTLY, but they squeezed me in, did it in a timely fashion, gave me advice about rental cars, and detailed my car beautifully INSIDE AND OUT! So happy and will be going here in the future!

Worst customer care service I have ever experienced. Simply came in for an estimate and the man who received me was extremely rude. When I asked questions he was dismissive and procided to say you know what Im going to pass on this. What kind of service are you providing at this establishment? You need to provide your employees with customer care training. Do not recommend! What a waste of time!

I was educated on the timeliness of the repair and when it was all done, Fred and his team cleaned up my car perfectly. Absolutely amazing. I was kind of nerves at first but Fred made me feel so relaxed. They call you if there is any issues and they repaired my veichle way before the actual completion. I picked up my car the other day from Central Auto Rebuilders and I couldnt be happier. This was my first major repair with them and they went above and beyond. My car was finished ahead of schedule and both of the owners were friendly and helpful. The attention to all the little details was great! I just gave them my information and they took care of everything. I never had to worry about setting up my rental or speaking to an adjuster, Fred dealt with it all. My car looks great, even my kids think it looks better than the day I bought it! Central Auto Rebuilders was #3 on my stops to get an estimate. I looked no further. Personalities go a long way and these guys had that, for one. The place was way cleaner - better atmosphere in general - than the others I visited, and just felt right. My jeep was pretty banged up, and I knew it would take a while to fix it, but they were able to give it back to me WAY earlier than the promise date. Super responsive to any questions that I had and kept me up to date with their progress. They were also very helpful arranging my rental car. Here I was treated like a person while at the other spots I looked I felt more like a number. And, my cars still running and looking great.

The quality of the work is excellent and the guys managed to complete a first class job two days before their estimated date in order for me to leave on vacation. Would highly recommend.

Fred and his staff did a remarkable job on my 2000 Honda Civic. When I took my car into Freds shop, the damage was readily apparent. When I picked it up, the car looked as good as the day I got it new.Freds work is seemless and perfect. After a recent auto accident a relative recommended Central Auto to repair my car. After I contacted Central they took over and made all the arrangements with the insurance company and the rental car agency. They were professional, courteous and completed my repair ahead of schedule. They billed the insurance company for the repair eliminating another worry for me. When I got my car back it was clean and looking beautiful. The paint matched perfectly and the body panels were in perfect alignment. Being my first car accident, I was pretty nervous about trying to find a good shop around town and going through the insurance process. Fred and Frank made my experience very easy and pleasant. Once they have your car you dont have to do anything other than answer the phone and go pick the car up when its done. They worked with my insurance company and rental car without hesitation. I have used Central Auto Rebuilders several times over the years and they always do a great job! They are honest and they really stand behind their work!! When I had a minor fender bender recently, the paint on my bumper began to peel, getting worse with each car wash. I took my car to them to get it repainted. They had painted the same bumper last fall. They did the work for free because they felt like it should have stood up better than that. I was blown away! I had damaged the car and had NO expectation that they would do this for free! But they did and, more importantly, they just did it without me even asking. These are stand up guys and I recommend them most highly!!

This place screw me up they told me that they were going to fix my car and after they tore a part said it was a total loss, keep away from them if youre in this situation.I had an accident, some one hit me from the back, the car wasnt too bad I drove it like that for two weeks, his insurance send me to this place, but before I did a statement in another place they told me that my car was a total loss. Anyways, I brought my car and the guy told me that they were going to fix it. When he said that, I asked him are you sure because I did statement at another place and they told me that my car is a Total loss without taking any part out and he said your car is pretty clean its in good condition Hondas last forever and what not. I wait for more than a week for them to fix my car because they were busy and after they tore it  apart, I had a call from Allstate telling me that my car was a total loss and because my car had a branded title the value was $4,700 (Honda Accord LX-P 2009 with 110,000 miles) Frank from Central Auto Rebuilders put on the report that my car had few chips in the glass and heavy staining front and back seats, not thru tires 50%  not true since tires had 20,000 miles out of 60,000. Im very dissatisfied with this place.

About 4 years ago I brought my vehicle to Central Auto as instructed by my insurance carrier after an accident...after several days, I picked up my vehicle when repairs were completed. I discover several deep scratches on my trunk and a large dent in the roof of my car above my passenger side door that looks very suspiciously like the corner of a car lift that was brought down on the car (accidentally Im sure, but I digress). These damages were NOT present on my car when I dropped it off but miraculously there they were. After bringing this to the attention of management I was told Oh no, thats not us, we didnt do that (of course). They reviewed the pictures that they took before the car was dropped off and of course, none of the pictures were at an angle that would show the newly affected areas when the car was dropped off, so (and ill admit) it couldnt be proven the damage wasnt present when I dropped it off...despite the fact that I washed my car twice a week sometimes and new every square inch of its surface..again..I digress. As mentioned, I vented my frustration, but ultimately, since it couldnt be proven, I just let it go. I never pursued any legal action, I never even mentioned it to my insurance provider...I bit the bullet and just let it go. I never even posted a bad review about them...stuff happens, life goes on. I then spent 4 years with a vehicle that had mysterious dents and scratches that could not be accounted for (no where near where the damage from the accident was). Whatever. Flash forward 4 years and now my brother gets into a fender bender and is sent to Central Auto for repairs by his insurance company. I didnt even tell him avoid that place because 4 years is a long time, things and people change. When Central Auto recieved the work order from my brothers insurance agency, they apparently had a file on me and proceeded to TEXT..not call..to inquire if he was my brother. When my brother confirmed yes, they told him no...they would not be working on his car due to the experience his brother (me) had. What kind of reputable company with nothing to hide would do that? Now my brother is the kindest, most trusting person there is. He has no bias against them whatsoever. If he or even I had a problem with them still, he would have expressed this to his insurance company right away and avoided any exchange. But he went with it and agreed to let his car be serviced there, only to be discriminated against for his last name. My brothers insurance company was flabergasted when they heard that and mentioned they would look into discontinuing service with Central Auto Rebuilders. I personally do not trust this place or its management. They dont even have the respect to call someone but text (who does that?) All Ill say is I highly advise thinking twice before considering this establishment, these guys are apparently petty high schoolers holding a 4 year old grudge.

Everyone knows getting into a car accident is dreadful, apart from the anxiety and adrenaline rush right after, it can be extremely time consuming and an inconvenience finding the perfect shop for repairs. LOOK NO FURTHER! I promise you, you will not be disappointed.After searching the Chicago + Chicagoland area for a shop, Central Auto Rebuilders definitely caught my attention with their awesome reviews, I decided to give them a shot. Best decision EVER!Not only was Frank incredibly easy going, and accommodating! He called me right away when there was an earlier opening. Customer Service at this location is awesome, their secretary is super sweet, (she overheard me needing a ride, and even offered to take me home, !!!! what a sweetheart! I had already ordered a ride), Frank and Fred are prompt and on point. Frank gave me my expected turnover, I told him I had an upcoming trip and if he was able to get it done early to please let me know....my car was finished 4 days earlier than stated!!!! I even got a nice text about it! I love text service, in todays age of technology, and everyones super hectic lives, a text message is much more efficient.My car was perfect. This is a great shop. I recently did some damage to the back of my car. After getting 2 other estimates (525.00 and 579.00) from other shops in the area, Frank offered to buff and clean the damaged area for a minimal charge and if I wasnt happy with the results he would not charge me. After they were done I was more than pleased with the results. It wasnt perfect but my car is 10 years old. This shop save me hundreds of dollars. Thank You Frank. As a repeat customer at Central Auto Rebuilders, I felt compelled to comment after my most recent visit here. NOBODY is happy to be at the body shop. It means something bad happened and it is more than likely going to cost something. These guys make you feel right at home. They are courteous, friendly and they make a car accident experience bearable and the end result pleasant. When the car is done it is cleaned and it ALWAYS looks great. Frank Klein and Fred Gade who own Central get my highest recommendation as a place to take your car and get great service with a smile and a handshake. I have sent and will continue to send all of my friends and family members to this first class auto body shop.

So my fiancè and I are from WI. We went to to Chicago for a weekend to see some sights. Well on the way back to our hotel we were involved in a hit and run... So I used my AAA service for a tow and they recommended Central Auto. That was by far the best thing they couldve done. Fred, the next day when we went to look at the car and figured out we couldnt drive it back to WI actually gave us a ride to the train station in his personal car and helped us out with our insurance agent. Fred and Frank really do put the customer first and theyll tell you straight up if there are any unforseen issues! Definitely would recommend them for any work.
