After 3 different people told me about Hartmans I had to go for myself. Very honest dependable mechanic

I went to Hartmans for the first time last week after recently moving to Bristol. I needed an oil change, but also had an issue with squeaking brakes that my previous mechanic could not figure out. I dropped my car off the night before my scheduled service. The next day, Hartmans called within an hour of their opening to go over their assessment with me. They identified the issue, suggested a solution for my brakes, and asked for approval (cost included) before moving forward. I gave them the go ahead and am so glad that I did. My brakes havent squeaked since and the cost was exactly what the mechanic had told me to expect, no hidden fees or extra labor charges. Hartmans is definitely my new go to spot!

After some bad experiences at other shops (mostly dealerships), I was unsure about a using a local neighborhood garage, but now I wouldnt hesitate to go here again. Went in for an inspection. They were super friendly, quick, and honest about what needed fixed. For the couple of things that needed fixed, they charged pretty much what I would have paid retail for the parts and fair enough labor that it would have cost me just as much to fix myself, so I didnt feel like it was a waste letting them do it to get it done with.While Im a hands-on person that still likes doing repairs myself when I can, for anything that needs certification or that I cant do myself, this will be my go-to shop.Thanks for the great work!

If you look through the comments, one of the common themes youll find is that the people at Hartmans Automotive are HONEST.Ive been going there since I started driving (15 years ago), and I never once thought they ran up the bill on me---a big fear for most (my mom has always said the same thing---she never worried about being taken advantage of just because she was a woman and pretty clueless about cars).In my opinion, its one of the best businesses in the Borough.So, if youre looking for an honest, well-priced place to take your car, I highly recommend Hartmans Automotive.
