Nothing but problems over the two years weve used Meenan for anything other than delivering oil constantly. Their billing department is horrible and double charged my account for services provided. If you choose to stop conducting buisness, you will be solicited by them.
Service then price has always been what I look for when I do business with any company. I have been with this company for many years. There hasn’t been one time over the years when I had an issue that it wasn’t taken care of. From a tank replacement to selling and installing a new heater to fairness in fuel pricing. There may be some that might think they are pricey but that’s where I look at how I’ve been serviced. I believe everyone has had a no start condition when it’s been really cold or icy or bad weather in general. You look for the technician to show up and fix the issue. They do. In all fairness I have to mention the folks who answer the phones to the people in accounting to the fuel truck delivery they are professional. Job well done Meenan!
Great company. Affordable pricing. Easy to get ahold of when you need something. The techs are very friendly and work to keep your home clean while there. Always willing to review what they found and explain it to me in a way I can understand.
BEWARE long-term and new customers for oil heater servicing: Meenans priority is now air conditioning servicing. They rescheduled me twice, then routine yearly heater clean-out yesterday left heater BROKEN, NO HOT WATER!! MEENAN BROKE OUR HEATER!! We pay $$$ for the highest service plan (platinum), but even then Meenan refused to send someone for 9 hours (would be at childs Dr Appointment) when THIS IS THEIR FAULT!! I had to then literally SCREAM at the office to get a tech out sooner. Meenan relied on good reviews and monopoly in Levittown PA for years, but is third rate now. Weve been platinum customers for 27 years. There are other oil/heater servicing companies with great reputations and reviews...were switching.
My Meenan repair man and general service person was absolutely fantastic when he responded to a rapidly escalating water leak in my circulator!He was astute in evaluating what had gone wrong, what needed to be done to fix it, and dedicated to attempting to get my system fixed in one visit. Unfortunately, he needed parts that werent available on a weekend night, so he returned first thing Monday morning and rapidly got everything repaired. replaced and functioning. Just a GREAT man to deal with! Knowledgeable, caring, and dedicated. 5 star rating for sure!
$4.30 for propane during a pandemic! Spot price is $2.34 today! They deliver at their leisure and no courtesy to let you know they are jacking the price. Better options out there...
I had a bump in the road with my initial sign up and service contract but one of their supervisors Beth Barnett did an excellent job in listening to and addressing my concerns.

Steve came out at 9pm to help us because we had no heat. He fixed the problem at no charge because we have a contract with them and was so professional. He was informative, friendly, and wanted to make sure we understood everything. Great experience with the service tech!
Excellent representative took my call and scheduled an emergency visit right away. She also noted I hadnt scheduled my annual service and scheduled that at the same time. The technician arrived on time and was very friendly and thorough. Great job all around. Oh, and I really like the link they emailed me so I could see where the technician was before he arrived. Really good repair people and very responsive, cost is a bit high but service is fantastic.
I recently requested a service visit to check a hot water issue. The tech arrived and assessed that the boiler was in proper working condition but the problem was in the bathroom faucet. He also advised me that my tank was not up to “EPA” standards and suspended any future oil deliveries until the tank is inspected. This is the same tank they passed when they installed a new boiler. This is what Meenan does....They will upsell you or tell you there is an issue with your equipment in order to generate revenue. They are a hard sell service provider who will find issue with something in your heating system. Avoid Meenan at all costs and find a more reputable company.
I was kept informed of exactly when the service tech would arrive. He arrived on time, diagnosed the problem and quickly repaired it. All the time wearing gloves and face mask as required by covid guidelines. Since I had a Gold Maintenance contract there was nothing to sign and no cost. Meenan did an excellent professional job.

I have been a customer of Meehan Oil for 20 years. Their response to service calls is immediate. I recently needed their assistance when the heat would not turn on and they came out on a Sunday. Explained that it was a semi-major fix and asked if it could wait until Monday in case parts were needed. The same repairman, Steve, came out the next day and replaced the pipes that had corroded and we are back in business. One star because I couldn’t give them lower. Their techs and reliability - good. Their pricing? Absolutely ridiculous. Don’t sign a fuel contract with them - they will over charge you. And if you want to end a contract early because of the price gouging, there’s a 300+ cost for early termination. Their customer service is terrible.There are equally reliable companies in the area that are reasonably priced. Don’t be naive and make the same mistakes I did. Don’t just go with the big name in town. Shop around.

We have been Meenan customers for 20 years. Anytime we had a problem, they were right out to fix it. Today we had our routine oil burner cleaning. Paul, Tech #82, was fantastic and kept us informed about everything he was doing. He noticed a problem where the oil burner leads to the chimney. He made a temporary repair and put us in contact with a chimney cleaning/repair company who will come out later today to make the needed repair. We have always gotten great service from Meenan oil. They arrive on time and are very thorough.

Tim was prompt, and efficient. He worked through several rooms trying to correctly diagnose the issues we’ve had with our heat. He also offered tips on how to better manage the heat in our home (opening baseboard vents, for example) (We’re newer to oil heat and baseboard heating). Customer Service was also prompt and kept communication open so I was able to be prepared for the timing of the visit.
I woke up yesterday to no heat and called for service in the morning. I was told a technician would be out between 11:30 am - 2:30 pm, but he actually arrived by 11 am. The repair was completed in under 2 hours and was covered under my heater contract. The technician was friendly and explained everything clearly. I have been a customer for years and always have good and prompt service.
Our family has been a Meenan customer for almost 40 years. When we moved to Levittown, there was no question as to which oil company we would use. Meenan has provided service for our account during all times of the day, even through the middle of the night, when needed. We have been with meenan for a year and a half. This was a new purchase of an older home. Our heating system is also a senior citizen. Meenan has been a wonderful surprise. Their technicians and service reps couldn’t be nicer or more professional. They are responsible for keeping this elderly furnace humming. Our heat is warmer than any other system we have ever had. My office has been a Meenan customer for decades. Problems might not always be solved the first time out, but, with persistence, they get solved. And the technical people are ALWAYS courteous and professional. A number of years ago, I briefly contracted with a different Heating/AC service because I thought I would save some costs. After more than one bad incident and my threat of a lawsuit because 2 rooms and the ceiling in my home were flooded because of several gross technical mistakes by that service, I returned to Meenan. What can I say. I learned the hard way that you get what you pay for!!! I guess I wouldnt still be with Meenan if I didnt trust them or wasnt satisfied with their service.

I called Meenan to service my furnace when I noticed I had no hot water. I figured I would not get service until the next day as it was already after 4pm, so I was surprised when they said someone would be there within a few hours. I love the confirmation email they send where you can actually track your technicians location and how many minutes until he arrive. Technician arrived on schedule and was very proficient at diagnosing and repairing the problem. The best part is that it was covered under my service contract - no charge.
My AC unit had stopped working. I called to schedule an appointment and was told the technician would be there by 11:00a.m.Technician showed up at a little after 10:A.M.He was able to determine the problem with the AC system , make the repair and ensured the system operation before he left .I believe his name was Chris Harris. Our Oil heater stopped working on a Friday night. Called on Saturday to set an appointment, they were able to come out on the same day (I do have a contract with them). They scheduled a time from 12 - 3 and called around 2 to let me know that they were running late, I liked the fact that they called to let me know.
I have been a Meenan customer for many years. Recently my furnace stopped working and I called the service department. I was offered a three hour window during which the service man would arrive. I agreed to it. The man arrived promptly and proceeded to repair my furnace. He worked efficiently and neatly. I received several emails from the company , first to notify me that he had arrived and later to explain the repairs and their costs. I have a maintenance account with Meenan and the repairs cost me nothing! I am very happy being a Meenan customer.
They were charging us More than double the going rate. Told me that I wasn’t taking advantage of the service plan. The service plan that we told them we didn’t want. I feel stupid that I didn’t change sooner. Check your statement regularly

There is nothing worse than not having any hot water. We appreciated someone coming out at 11:00 pm. Meenan is a really good company, they always do their best and the technicians that come out are always, friendly, and professional and they explain everything.
We have a very old, cranky boiler heating system in a two-hundred-year-old house. It needs frequent tending to say the least. Meenan service techs are always prompt and courteous (even in a pandemic!). They always seem to get our boiler back in business. Thank you service techs!!!! A++
I would rate my experience as over the top. The tech arrived on time and worked on our problem all day until early afternoon. Steve was a consumate professional. He not only fixed the initial problem but performed our yearly service. We have hot water all through out the house.We have never had that before in the last 20 years.
Technician was very knowledgeable and put me at ease immediately. He explained clearly what part failed and promptly replaced it. Meenan customer since 1970 and I have always received excellent service.
There are positives and negatives to this issue. The issue with my A/C started towards the end of the summer in 2019, but never showed its symptoms when the technician came out. Consequently, the technicians always said there is nothing wrong. Finally this time it was happening while the technician was there and the issue was found and the problem resolved.Im being charged again for the initial diagnostic and technician visit. By now, on the 4th visit since August 2019, I would think I would only have to pay for the actual repair. Hopefully the billing department will agree when I call and talk with them.Im giving a 4-start rating because the people at Meenan are consistently responsive, courteous and communicative.
Really worth it to purchase the service agreement. Meenan is so accessible and responsive - and their people are so knowledgeable. Last visit they installed a new thermostat (covered), checked out the system, and took the time to explain how to optimize efficiency when adjusting the upstairs and downstairs temperatures. No wonder my family has been with them... forever~ Many thanks yet again.
Chris came in, checked the furnace, listened to my speech Started up furnace. Checked fan and motor. Checked running of furnace, o2 and co. Then gave us some ideas of what may have happened and what we can try in the future. Problem, a smoke alarm went off in the living room but not next to the furnace. Looks like smoke alarm could not take cold in the room. If it does it again, swap with basement one and see if it does it again. If does, replace, Thank you Meenan Oil and Chris for your quick response.
The repairman came for my A/C unit. I called and the next day they came out. the repairman took the time to explain what he was doing and the cost of the repairs. I was very happy that I am using Meenan for my oil and servicing of my boiler. Great Company!
***UPDATE*** I cancelled my plan with meenan for monetary reasons. It took 5 phone calls to get them to remove the charges for next years service plan, which was cancelled before it began. When youre (over) paying them, their customer service is top notch. But cancel and theyll do their best to charge you for services you havent used. This was finally fixed but it took 2 months.*** I have the platinum plan due to my boiler being over 60 years old. My oil is auto delivered and never runs out. Im on a flex plan that guarantees a low per gallon price. I came home after midnight last night with no heat. I have a back up heat source and requested my service wait until morning. My window was 8-12, I got a call when he was on his way and he arrived @ 7:50. Tech was polite, knowledgeable, thorough, and got my boiler up and running. Every single time Meenan techs are in my home, they are polite, clean up after themselves, explain things well, and give me tips to keep things running smooth. I am very happy with my service and highly recommend.

Excellent service. Technician came out in the middle of the night to repair my 93 yr old Mother in Laws 60+ year old heater. Worked all night, went to his house and got his own personal heater to warm the house. Needed more parts, came out the very next morning to finish the repair. Office keep me informed during the whole process so I could keep a check on my Mother in Law. Great service, conscientious, caring and wonderful to deal with. Highly recommend

I managed to get rid of Meenan last year after horrible service for a long time and many billing problems.To add insult to injury I just found they did a hard credit pull AFTER I terminated their contract with them and paid in full.Dont do business with Meenan is my advice.

Our AC died on a 97 degree day. Meenan came out and saved the day. The repairman was very knowledgeable and professional. Definitely 5 star service.
We have a heat pump with oil fired back up. We bought a Nest 3rd generation thermostat and we paid to have it installed by an installer recommended by Nest/Google. The Nest product worked for about 4 hours and then wouldn’t stay on. Each time the Nest shut off, our heat stopped. We got a big run around from Nest trying to get an installer to return and fix it. Should have called Meenan first. They sent an excellent technician who ultimately reinstalled our original thermostat after carefully troubleshooting the problem. Turned our the Nest product was not compatible with our HVAC home set up. That, mind you, after I went through the Nest online “compatibility checker” and was told it would be compatible. The Nest thermostat is on its I way back to PECO.
Meenan was quick to respond when I called! Had an appointment within a few hours, in which they were able to come earlier than scheduled which was great! The technician was professional, so nice, and took time to explain everything! Now I know why I chose Meenan as my oil company! Keep up the great work!

Weve had Meenan for over 25 years and I understand when people are sick or have to leave work early. BUT tell the customers that are expecting service.I called at 5:45 a.m. yesterday and was given a 1 to 4 window they came at 10:30 p.m. I called them three different times after the four window had passed and only on the last call was I told that someone had left work early. Communication is key. The service tech did a good job was out quickly thats not the issue.

I had a power outage and when the power went back on my heater didnt come back on. I called Meenan explained what happened and they said they would send someone out between 9 pm and 12. I said that wouldnt work because my husband gets up at 3:30 am. So she put me on hold for a minute and said service would be there between 4 and 4:30 pm. they were here at 4:30.They took care of the problem and made us happy and satisfied. They did all they could to solve the problem Very Thankful
Technician was prompt and courteous. He was competent and very personable. He tried to regulate our AC unit to make it better. He spent approximately 45 min here going over all components to the unit and thoroughly told me what he was trying to do.
Recently bought a house.. my first house at 27 years of age. Decided I would go with meenan since the previous owners had meenan. The previous owners paid for the service in advanced for me so we could live comfortably without have financial hardships. The people when signing up were seemingly nice OBVIOUSLY that’s there job to sell the service. So I signed up and they said they won’t be able to transfer over the service to my name. Although the previous owners called and checked if they could. So I still decided to go with them out of courtesy since I’ve already spent 2 hours on the phone with this gentleman. First month goes by no bill. Second month goes by I get a bill for close to 500$. Meanwhile this whole COVID 19 is getting started. Honestly I would have canceled the service instantly the first month. So I call to cancel since not a lot of people are working and not getting paid it’s just to expensive. When I called to cancel it took about 3 days to get ahold of the gentleman I spoke with, and not a doubt his attitude changed and so did everybody else. I paid what I could at the time and was left with an outstanding bill. 2-3 months go by and just tired of seeing the mail that came to me every month on the same day ,without skipping any months +$1.50. I called and explained my situation to the representative for a person who isn’t working or any assistance for some type of leniency on the bill especially in a pandemic.We all know how hat happened next. They don’t care about there costumers, they just want there money from you. If you think they will work with you I doubt it. Went with bucks county fuel they don’t bother you with contracts or any fees. Just one call. Won’t be coming back to meenan. Giving the public a heads up.
Excellent customer service. Phone reps are polite and go out of their way to make my oil decisions easier. Technicians are timely and clean and thorough. The last time I had a tech out was during the first cold week of the year. He arrived within his window and stayed until after 10 pm when the problem was resolved.

Great service. It was freezing and a weird smell was coming from my heater. I called Meenan because I have a service plan and they sent someone out. He was great, took his time and got my heater back up and running and explained what caused the smell and how to prevent it in the future.
Cleaning was done and problem found while starting it back up, this could have happened during the winter so very glad he worked hard to fix it now, repairs were done under our plan. The serviceman was great and polite and hardworking and replaced parts and spent time on our problem. They even came out the next day when we had further problem, it was then handled again quickly and by another very nice and polite serviceman. They have great service people on the phone and in person. Have always had a plan gold or platinum and a price limit on oil contract, it has paid off over the many years we have had it. They are good at letting us pay overtime because sometimes it wasn’t always a good time money wise but they worked with us on the contract or large deliveries. Over the years it is just a cleaning and oil, while other years different problems solved while under the plan, it pays to have it.

Weve used Meenan for several years and were extremely pleased with their service, response times, accessibility, and customer service. As we have now moved I regret we can no longer use them. Id like to encourage anyone considering oil and service providers for their home to consider them. They are not the lowest cost for oil, but should anything go wrong with the existing system their response time is unmatched, and when you have pipes freezing in winter every second counts. My last incident was fixed within 4 hours of my first call.
This was a just to be safe service call, due to a loud noise and burning oil smell from the boiler. The technician came 2 hours ahead of schedule, performed necessary testing, even though there was no clear evidence of a problem. But as I said, this was just-in-case call, and Meenan followed through to assure the safety of my family.

Came home late on a Friday night from vacation and found the house cold due to a malfunctioning oil gauge, the tank was empty. Even though I was not a pre-existing customer Meenan was able to deliver an emergency supply of 10 gallons on Friday night and then complete the order on Saturday. Top notch service. We are now a customer. Definitely recommend this company.

The two stars is for the service techs, their always polite, honest, and knowledgeable.The customer service is one of the absolute worst bunch of arrogant ..... Theyve withheld bills (have proof on their very own system that no bill was generated and zero was due at that time) withheld deliveries without a word to us so we could correct it then, and then blamed us for it and tried to charge us extra saying them not contacting or billing us is our fault. I have a special needs daughter and was told if i dont pay the extra fee for them to correct their repeated mistake we will be without heat for 3-5 business days!! Ive spoken to other customers going through the exact same thing as us as well. Avoid these crooks at all costs!!!!!

When I called for service I had no heat. I was told somebody would come between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. that was just a few hours away. At 9:20 I got a message that he was on his way and by 9:30 he was here. He was great. Explained everything that was going on. He did not leave till he was sure everything was working correctly. And by the time he left it was warmer in here. Everyone from the receptionist that listened while I explained there was an elderly gentleman here and I had been sick or I would not request over night services to the gentleman that came out to repair, they were all great and very understanding.
