We called Abrams Hardware and got a prompt reply. John took the time to look at our cottage two times, discussed options and promptly gave us a detailed quote. We had red pine installed in our kitchen, dining room and sunroom. We also had our living room sanded and poly as well as two bedrooms. We had three different kinds of floors. Ben took the time and care to install beautiful red pine floors. He has the expertise and experience to do the job right with attention to all the details that we would never have imagined like how to transition the floors in several doorways and laying flooring around a wood burning stove. Cory and Matt arrived next and did the sanding and staining. They were both delightful and experienced and again took the time and expertise to do an amazing job. Our cottage is truly transformed! I highly recommend this professional and experienced company!

We started a project to repair and refinish or hardwood floor bought materials had multiple dates to start job. They never showed up, never started the job, and never! returned phone calls. Horrible experience cant say if they do good work, but can say they strung us along for months without showing up.

Weve moved into our new house and we have John back to for more floor sanding. This is the third house weve had them work on, I think that says it all. I would recommend Abrams Hardwood Floors to anyone who asked!

They did a great job refinishing our floors--theyre unrecognizable from their prior state. Price was fair and work was done well ahead of schedule. We will use them again.

Abrams came with the highest recommendation but perhaps over time theyve changed. They wanted to get it right, but in the end fell quite short. We had a positive experience to start: John was awesome when he came out for the quote and explained everything to us. It was easy to schedule. We went away for a week while they worked and, when we returned, we found that half of the floor was covered with millions of bubbles in the poly. This apparently had to do with the temperature the day it was put down. There were also about a half dozen spots where they had visibly missed applying poly, or at least hadnt applied all three coats. Worst of all, there were human hairs polyed into the floor in many areas.John came back out, said that it was absolutely not how it should be and they would fix it. We made the mistake of paying the remainder of our bill at this point. We left the house again for a week, and they buffed down the imperfections and applied another coat to the whole house. We returned home this time to find the bubbles were gone but there were 3 or 4 puddles of thick poly that were still drying. It looked like big spills once it dried. There was another full board miss in a hallway. And, yet again there were hairs sealed in.Colton came out and again agreed the floor needed to be fixed. He said they would buff the boards that had puddles but that to do it right, we had to move furniture again so they could recoat the boards in their full length. We marked the areas with blue tape. They came back a third time. This time we were surprised to find that they didnt re-poly the whole board, as we were told this was the way to do it right. They had spot buffed the puddles and brushed on another coat. In one spot they polyed over the blue tape!!!! There were even trails of poly drips between each of the touch-up spots.At this point, we gave up. Given the trail of drip marks and poly over the blue tape, we were worried another visit would only worsen the shape of our redone floors.
