Hands down best customer service I’ve had ever. I ordered an ecu with Hondata and called multiple times a week checking on the status of my order and probably drove Chelsea crazy but not once was she rude or short with me. She was extremely helpful and got back to me fast.My ecu looks and works great. Working on the street tune for now. Please let me start by saying that I dont normally leave reviews for anything, but really felt compelled to this time. My son and I were looking to have some fun with building out his 2000 Honda Civic, which was going to be a bit of a daunting task because neither one of us had any automotive experience. My son is totally getting into it, and Im learning with him.Needless to say, this performance auto community is a tight knit one, but can also be brutally honest and critical at times. Weve tried to do as much research and learning on our own, but when it comes time for something as complex and nuanced as tuning the car, this was something left for the pros. And Bob is a consummate pro. Not only is he an expert in his field, but hes extremely patient and giving of his time, especially for someone who Im sure is somewhat annoying because we are so naive in our knowledge.When we came into his shop / talked on the phone, he always took the time to answer our questions, and when it came time for the tune, did an amazing job. There were a few hiccups along the way because our boost control solenoid wasnt working properly, but Bob advised us based on our HP goals, a manual one would be just fine. He made the changes, didnt charge crazy amounts for labor and materials, and continued with the tune.If this is your first step into auto performance or if you are a seasoned pro, Bob is your guy. Hes an expert in his field and always has the customers best interests in mind. Total night and day difference, tune is on point! My car ran terrible when I dropped it off and Bob was more than fair on dealing with issues my car had, that were not his to deal with. He even tuned my car around the issues so that I got the best results for the time allowed. He didnt just boot me off the dyno because it had issues, Bobs heart is in the business thats for sure. I brought my car in for a engine and manual swap on my 1998 Honda Civic, plus some performance mods and stainless steel brake lines. I can not explain how amazing there work and time they put into their customers cars but they take care of them like it’s there own and you can count on them to do the job right at the right cost. They also clean and vacuum your car before picking it up from the shop.

After looking around for shops to get my car dyno tuned and solve other little issues i had on my car (honda del sol) I found RCautoworks. I sent Bob (owner) a message and he replied fast. He answered any question I had before I took my car to his shop. This is my first swap so I had questions, and he was happy to answer them. Earlier this year our car just shut off out of the blue. Had to get it towed to a nearby auto shop where they werent going to be able to look at it for several days. As that wasnt a viable option, I had to look for yet another tow to another shop. I decided to really look in depth and came across RCautoworks. Im so glad I did. Chelsea and Bob were so helpful and awesome!I ended speaking with Bob who I learned was the owner. Bob was refreshingly honest and let me know that diagnostics pointed it to being something he couldnt work on. Though Id have to go to the manufacturer, Bob let me know that if I had any questions I could contact him--and he wasnt just saying it to say it. It ended up being an ECM issue, but I decided that if the car were to need repairs in the future Id definitely go with Bob. Where so many could/would take advantage or make costly errors in trying to do a quick fix or brush someone off who wasnt a locked in customer, Bob was upfront and open to questions. You can see its not about money, but simply him being about his business and doing something hes passionate about. It really is about the customers. And in these trying times for everyone, that means so much more.

New customer here! Brought my wifes Prelude in for some suspension work. The reason I will keep coming back to RC Autoworks is the fair pricing, quick turn around time and more importantly, customer service that is unmatched by any other shop that Ive been to...It is that small attention to the details of customer service that is hard for a lot of shops to understand how important that is. Estimates are quick, scheduling was within the week, Facebook messages get answered within an hour, daily updates on my project at the end of the day and most importantly, showed me the parts that were replaced at the end of the job. Bob is a busy dude but somehow still manages to get tuning/maintence work, customer service and content creation for social media channels multiple times a week, all done in a timely fashion.

I gotta say this has to be the top performance shop in the Midwest! I brought my car over to Bob at RCautoworks for my kpro install/tune on my 2005 Honda S2000. Basically purchased the kpro wiring harness adapter from a different company (rather not mention). Bob took the time to reach out to the company after I had issues dealing with the company regarding a possible defect from their product. The wiring harness was defective and the company gave me all sorts of excuses and became very unprofessional when I was trying to explain to them that I most likely received a defective harness based on the diagnoses that Bob had figured out. Days went by and sure enough the company called me and also left Bob a voicemail apologizing and admitting that they were at fault. All in all, Bob and the rest of his staff are very knowledgeable and very respectful and professional when dealing with his customers, he will keep you up to date on your project and also go out of his way and figure anything to make his customers happy (car made great numbers after the tune and feels like a completely different car) I will definitely continue to bring them my vehicles and stay Loyal to this shop! I took my old school car for professional tuning since I upgraded my fuel system from a carburetor to a fuel injection system. I wanted to have it fine tuned and see the results of the upgrade. Bob was very professional at what he does and it was nice to know that he also works on classic muscle cars and imports. I noticed the difference on the highway on the top end. Bob even calls and email a follow up. I am still going to have him look over some values in the computer in the future.

Out of all shops I have been, this is one of the best shop Ive experienced. Their customers service was excellent, and their worker are kind and treated their customers with well respect. If you are looking to service your car and tune, this is the best place to go. I travel 7 hours, and it was really worth it, my car runs so much better.

I had work performed on my Volkswagen Passat ranging from suspension, motor work, tuning with emission, brakes. It all came together very well having the car lowered and they caught problems or what could be future problems early on. I enjoy driving the car now and looking in the future for different cams and tune. This will be after maintenance work on my Lexus E350. Brought my car in for an issue it was having I didn’t have time to diagnose myself (plus work I couldn’t do myself). Right off the bat Bob laid out his plan on fixing the issue and did let me know how busy they were up front so it would take some time. He always followed up with updates so I was in the loop with its progress. With that said, he and his shop found and fixed the issue, the other work I asked him to do was done professionally and he went over the ECU settings, explained thoroughly what he saw, and made corrections to them, resulting in the car driving and performing much better than it did even before the issue it was brought in for. Bob always explained everything, what they did to fix it, and what to expect afterwards and to let him know how I felt about it. Thats what great customer service is. Nothing but total honesty from day one in an industry where nowadays it is an exception, not the rule.I will be going back to his shop in the future for my automotive needs and I highly recommend his shop.

I have been running a base map tune from K tuner for about 2 and a 1/2 years on my 17 si. The difference bobs tune made is night and day compared to where I was at before. Wish I would have gotten this done sooner. Rc autoworks and Bob will be the only one touching my tune from now on.

I know a few people who have used RCautoworks for tuning and performance work, so I contacted them to ask about possible work for an older Toyota I have. Bobs advice was rock solid, and even included a few ideas that wouldnt necessarily have brought him any business, but would have helped me reach the goals and expectations I have.Now that is caring about customers.I still havent decided what to do with that car, but I will definitely come here when Im ready. Chelsea answered FB messages quickly and let me know what to expect and pricing for a Dyno tune, parts, installation...to include a discount on any installed parts. A+ recommend!

The patience to answer the same questions customers like me ask every single day says it all that these guys, especially Bob really love what they do. Would 10/10 come here especially for routine maintenance over a quick lube or dealer, but hopefully more so when I start looking for performance.
