I have been a member of Maxim for several years now and I must say, it’s one of the best Home Health companies I’ve ever had the privilege to be a member of. For such a huge corporation, they seem to have it together more so than previous home health companies I’ve had in the past. Kayla is my recruiter and I can say with honesty that’s she’s literally one of the best I’ve had yet although they all seem very nice. If I had 3 thumbs, I would give them 3 thumbs up!

This is the most unprofessional office I have ever had the displeasure of working with. You will find more intelligent, respectful, and professional people at your nearest Waffle House.Where do I even begin? It’s an office full of overgrown toddlers who have no concept of the level of importance and detail that the job requires. Total rookies, every single one of them. And rookies are FINE when they have a mentor to show them the ropes (everybody starts somewhere right?!) but this staff is a pack of toddlers, led by a six year old. They do not communicate well with one another and are constantly laying blame on either their co worker, the nurses, or (this one is FUN) on YOU the patient or parent. (That’s right, they will find a way to blame you because they can’t do their jobs!!) The corporate policies or lack of policies for the nurses mean that you are always 100% at the nurses will and they get to run the show and do whatever they want in regards to calling out, showing up late (HOURS late with no call, or just late every single day) and sticking to a schedule with ZERO repercussions. Maybe because they aren’t paid enough. Maxim pays lower than all other home health care agencies in the area (I guess you get what you pay for). I am SO utterly disappointed. They will promise you the moon and stars to get your business (it’s all about the money ) but they are the epitome of inadequacy. GO ELSEWHERE. Don’t waste your time. Let my bad experience be your lesson!!!!

I retired from the Veterans Administration in July 2019 and was contacted in August by Maxim to come to work. After working so many years straight, I asked if I could wait until after the first of the year. Then COVID began. The VA tried to get me back to them but had difficulty with red tape. I came on board with Maxim in May 2020, was given a patient in July, and in August got an assignment with a client that lasted over 5 months.August 31st several of us needed CPR renewed and Maxim set up the class. Only Hurricane Laura had hit and our instructor had to go out of town for an emergency. Michael was able to call and get someone else so we got our CPR certification that same day.The interaction I have had with the staff has been positive. They act like they really care about the staff and the patients and are able to get optimum care given. A special recognition to Kayla, Megan, Tara, Cara, Linda, Brandy, Amber and anyone else whose name I didnt mention. The job(nursing) is not easy. The work with insurance companies and families is not easy. We are going through some very trying times - the worst I have seen in my 50 years in nursing.I know sometimes we get discouraged and frustrated. That is a time when we should dwell on how much we are helping these poor unfortunate families. We are blessed to be able to administer the help they need. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of the team. --Susan Fischer

I have worked for Maxim in three different states. I started working for the Brentwood TN office this year. My recruiter is Mitch Gibbs. He is very thorough in doing his job. He is very knowledgeable in his job. When there was an issue with some paperwork, I informed him and he straightened it outvery quickly. He has paired me with a family that is amazing. He stays in contact with me to make sure everything is going well. There really needs to be more people like him doing this job. I have been an RN for 34 years and he is by far the most fair and personable recruiter I have ever worked for. He is why I work for Maxim in the Nashville area.Keep up the good work Mitch

I have been with Maxim Healthcare Brentwood since 7/2016. I am a part time RN. Maxim has been very good to me. I have a choice in my hours and my patients. I work with Angel who is a recruiter. She coordinates the staffing for patients. She makes sure that the patients needs are matched with the skills of the caregiver. If I prefer a different patient or hours they have worked with me to find the kind of patient that I prefer and/or the hours that I need. When I have needed time off for my own health problems that have always told me to take care of myself first then let them know when I am ready to come back.

As far as private duty healthcare companies, they are about the same as the others I’ve dealt with. With COVID, they’ve been short staffed, understandably. They lack some communication skills sometimes but they’re overall pretty good! My favorite employee by far is Brandy! She is an amazing scheduler, communicator, and is incredibly nice!

Two years ago, after a tragic and unforeseen event, we found ourselves needing in home care for our teenage son and were referred to Maxim. We previously had zero experience with home healthcare agencies, so we werent sure what to expect. Prior to our leaving the rehab hospital, two Maxim supervisors made the 4 hour drive to meet with us, get to know us and make sure they lined up the best possible care for our son upon our return home. From day one, Maxim has been very attentive to our needs. The office staff (especially our main recruiter Andrew W.) has been extremely consistent and has worked tirelessly to provide excellent nurses to help care for our son for the past two years. I always recommend Maxim to anyone looking for in home healthcare services. THANK YOU TO OUR NASHVILLE TEAM FOR TAKING SUCH GOOD CARE OF US!!!!!

Stay away from this Company! My recruiter was passive aggressive and shady as hell! Theyre are much better Healthcare Companies to work for besides Maxim! They are behind 3 weeks in paying me my money they owe me for being out on Covid testing protocol!Update: Odie the Point of Contact in your office doesnt respond to multiple messages regarding clarification of Payroll during Covid protocol. My ADP is not working so I can look up my payroll - havent been paid by YOUR company in 3 weeks. This is a shady company - Nurses be aware!!!

We had ONE, out of around 9 or 10 CNAs, that was a good aid. But, the rudeness, lies, dishonesty, and lack of care from the office is why we left. It was very apparent where we stood, when voiced from an office staffer, she made me aware they had no one to cover the aids shift that was absent, but that you should be aware and used to that. I WOULD NOT recommend this company, UNLESS your lucky and 1 out of 10 dosent ask to stay the night, fall asleep during thier shift, ect...ect...
