This place is MAGICAL! It’s a perfect location for photo sessions, private outdoor events, coffee dates, a romantic walk, and (of course) a day of plant shopping. The customer service is stellar, and the choices of plants and pricing is unmatched. The grounds are kept beautiful and neat, and every corner leads to a new horticultural wonder. Will definitely return very soon!

Can I make this place my new home??? I absolutely fell in love visiting this hidden gem! If you are a plant/nature lover, photographer, or soon to be bride this is a MUST visit. The atmosphere is so peaceful and tranquil. There is no charge to visit and walk the grounds. There are several areas to stop and admire. They have an area with a yellow brick road, several little cottages with plants and antique pieces, and a beautiful chapel for weddings. There is a wine tasting room, but currently closed due to COVID-19. Several trinkets, candles, and plants for sale. You will not want to leave this garden of paradise.

My sister had gone here and recommended it. Think of it as a nursery and botanical garden all in one. The flowers and old historical buildings were lovely. Definitely worth an afternoon stroll!!

This hidden gem is a great little spot to relax and take in the sites and smells of what looked like hundreds of different varieties of roses, many of them antique and some native varieties. There is also a lot of garden art to spruce up a garden. Just walking around looking at all the art was cool. Im definitely going back next spring if not sooner.

This is a great stop on 50N to Independence for bluebonnets drive. It’s a rose heaven, so many options if you want to see the colors and shapes of the antique roses (not bare roots, not knock out). It’s very busy during wildflowers season. The staff are extremely helpful and efficient.

One of my happy places. Besides numerous varieties of vintage, or antique, roses, they have many wonderful display beds, a wedding chapel, gazebo, meeting house, and herbs, flowers, garden statues, and other garden items. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. If you have a passion for roses, you have to visit. If you love flowers and gardens, go visit.

Unbelievable place. Was a highlight of our day trip. We got here as the rain was ending and we were the only people there. Everything about our experience was magical. The different areas of the gardens were all so beautiful in their own right.

The place in pictures looks beautiful, but today August 23rd, 2020, it looked abandoned and neglected. A lot of mosquitoes, dried plants, many almost dead, it really was not worth the one hour plus drive just to see it. It looks like once some time ago it was a beautiful place, at least not today. Plus a bigger sign may be useful.

Beautiful venue, bathroom was kinda hard to find. The wedding was gorgeous, the flowers smelled amazing, not to mention the abundance of other plants.Would recommend for someone to book a private event at, plenty of space to accommodate multiple styles of events not just weddings.

The Antique Rose Emporium is a beautiful gardening icon filled with not only roses, but a nice selection of herbs, flowers, and garden accents. With acres upon acres of sprawling landscapes and trails, this is a gardening mecca. You will be delighted to know that the staff are rose experts; no question is too difficult! Give yourself an hour to see the place. We love going in early March and then again in early April to see the Texas bluebonnets. Visit downtown Brenham to complete your scenic trip to the countryside.

Its not just roses! They have a good selection of herbs, native plants and other garden plants. Its a great place to walk around and just relax. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Today, the spa music playing in the grounds was SO relaxing! Lots of little lizards scurrying about, hummingbirds, butterflies, etc.

Beautiful nursery tucked away in historic Texas near the birthplace of the state. They offer a huge array of roses. The roses are arranged by color, size and type and each section has a large, easy to see sign. I loved the entryway decor of clay pots. Very peaceful surroundings, too. If you dont or cant make the drive, they will ship thrm to you.

Staff is rude, especially at the checkout counter. Then there is a lady who tries to police customers and barks rudely at customers. I bought (I should not have) about $140 dollars worth of roses and fertilizer but not so much as a thank you. Staff here thinks that they are doing a favor on you by letting you on their property. There was one exception, one lady that helped us pick roses and was pleasant but that does not make up for the exceptionally bad experience at the checkout counter.I was traveling all the way from Cypress in the Houston area. If you are in the vicinity of Houston, note that there are excellent nurseries in the Houston area. My personal favorite is RCW Nurseries at the Beltway and 249. You will get plenty of high quality rose plants at 20% to 30% lower than this place.I will never visit this place again.

Don’t expect to buy roses! I drove 50 miles to buy specific roses that no one else sells, and I went during peak bloom season because that’s all they talk about but they only had a handful in stock! I think they should at least advertise that they only have roses during certain times of the year. I thought that a rose nursery would actually have roses but I guess not, and yet all their other plants were fully stocked. The gardens weren’t as spectacular as they talk about either. They told me to try again in the fall, but this experience has left me a little sour, so I’ll try buying from other places.

Zero stars. Poor guarantee, and poor customer service. Roses performed worse than those purchased from LOWES, and cost twice as much. Apparently, I cant give zero stars. iA 6 month guarantee is inadequate since roses go dormant in the winter

Always love stopping at the Antique Rose Emporium on our way to Brenham! We bought almost two dozen Cora Vincas, which we had seen and loved on the garden grounds. Excited to come visit again!

I ordered six potted roses for my birthday late in the season. This store still had a wide selection to choose from at exceptionally reasonable prices. They just arrived. The shipping was pricey but worth it. Wow, were they well packed! Each plant is healthy and green and I even see some buds ready to open. I am so excited to plant these! This store offers a refund/replacement policy if they die, but honestly if these happy plants don’t make it, it’ll be my fault. They included detailed care instructions that even a total rose newbie like me can follow. There are some shady garden sites out there but Antique Rose Emporium is not one of them. Looking forward to finding more room in my garden for more roses next year, and I’ll be getting them here.

My 4 Roses arrived this morning. I picked up my yard man and we cleaned up the rose bed and planted them. They arrived in perfect condition, when we went to remove them from the pots,the newspaper covering the soil was still damp to protect them. Talk about attention to detail and customer service, they wrote the book. I will definitely be back for more

However, I recommend you do some research before you come and have a list of which roses you want to purchase as available help is minimal and grounds are extensive. I was gifted some roses from my grandparents. They arrived in spring and are the best sized roses I’ve gotten from a catalogue/online order! They have grown great over summer and some are already shoulder height! There was also a little mixup in the order (my grandpa is in his 90s and ordered over the phone from England!) they handled it so graciously. I am impressed all around and can’t recommend them highly enough.

Getting here using the mobile phones was the hardest. The emporium has beautiful rows of flowers. Potted plants garden plants and garden outdoor items are available here. Some parts of their grounds might be closed if they are hosting some events. Either way well maintained and beautiful store.

One of my favorite places to buy antique roses! The people who work there are very friendly and helpful and know their roses!! I love walking the paths delighting in all the variety of flowers blooming at different times of the summer. Their herb and summer annuals selection is varied and excellent quality.

This is an absolutely beautiful place! Some of the loveliest rose gardens around, and some of the nicest and most knowledgeable people as well. Ive purchased many roses from them (for myself as well as for several friends), and theyve all been quite healthy. Many of their roses cant be found at regular garden shops, which make them even better in my eyes. I love them for their uniqueness as well as their beauty and fragrance. Its a 400mi round trip from where I live, but I have to visit them at least once a year just to see what new rose I need in my yard !

Ordered two seven sister rose bushes. Arrived today and was very please with our order. We were expecting probably bare root typed plants but instead they arrived in pots. They were very healthy looking and well packaged. Would highly recommend this company for anyone looking for antiques roses.

Went to a wedding and reception here and it was very lovely. The rose gardens are breath taking and we stayed into the night and even the view of the starts was great.

We used the Antique Rose Emporium for our wedding in October 2016. This venue was perfect for our wedding because we wanted a beautiful, romantic, and intimate indoor/outdoor venue somewhere between Austin and Houston, but we didn’t want to spend a bunch of time and money on decorations. When you enter the grounds, you really feel like you are transported to a secret garden out of a fairy tale, so we only spent $100 on minimalistic center pieces and a couple other small items and the venue was so beautiful that was really all the decorations we needed. I first visited the venue on a cold, rainy day in December, and it was equally as beautiful then as all the subsequent trips I made leading up to my October afternoon wedding. The tables and chairs we rented from the venue were all in good condition. Everything was provided as promised by the coordinator, who is very sweet and super responsive. The venue was clean and orderly when we showed up. The staff was very kind and responsive to all of our needs. If you have already looked at the pictures of this venue and it seems even remotely close to what you want for your wedding, I would highly recommend setting up an appointment to visit the venue and seeing it for yourself.

This is a really fun place to go if you like to garden, or just like plants. Its like a mix of nursery, park, and historic site. The place has been there for a while, and has a lot of established beds, plants, trees, buildings, and hardscape. You can just go there and walk around and relax, or you can shop. Knowledgeable about plants, and they have a huge selection of annuals, perennials, pollinators, and native plants. And as a bonus, you can now enjoy beer or wine while you stroll around in this beautiful place! Its a must see place when you are in the Brenham area. Located on Hwy 50, about 15 minutes from Brenham.

The absolute beauty of the roses at this farm will melt your stresses away; its *that* relaxing. They also sell several flowers aside from roses. I bought a delicious spearmint plant, and was amazed at how long it lasted. No other spearmint plant Ive bought has lasted nearly as long.
