3rd times a charm? Ive had two mediocre cuts here that were more than Ive paid anywhere else in PDX or Seattle, but my buddy got a cut here last week and it looks amazing. Gonna go in again soon and see if its changed. I know they have a couple great stylists, apparently I just havent been so lucky. I dont think I should pay the same price for a cut from an inexperienced barber though.

I LOVE this place. Ive been a customer here since shortly after it opened. Shevaun and Hope are both wonderful and talented people. The chatting and the atmosphere are great. These two have put something really wonderful together. The products they keep are high quality, use a few of them. Im bald with a beard. I could take care of my own hair, but with a place like this with people like them why would I want to do that.

Nice little shop. Really nice staff that have a wide range of talents - from a close shave to fancy design in the haircut. Its a barber shop, expect those types of services. Fun, open environment.

Lawrence gave me a great cut! He was able to decipher my random explanation on my long over due cut perfectly. Fade looks great, lines are clean, feels awesome. 100% will be back!

45$ it cost! my man came home after having his beard trimmed and hair faded. The barber was not confident. Not able to do a fade at all! And his face, was done with a straight razor but you cant tell. sides spotty, doesnt look faded. Very unfortunate experience. Had to go to another barber to get it fixed right. Sad..

Shevaun at switch blade rocks! Super nice and chill barber that knows how to cut hair, always has a great attitude. The fades are excellent. Especially if your military and looking to keep the fluff on the sides. Shes one of a few barbers that gets it. The hours she works are also excellent highly recommend for someone who cares a lot about their hair and only trust certain people to cut it.

Great service, my barber took his time and cut my beard perfectly. Wish they had better parking, but plenty across the street if the lot is full.

Didnt instil a great deal of confidence that the barber was asking another barber how to do the haircut, but I know newer people need to learn. Haircut came out pretty okay but I do need to fix up my side burns. Good atmosphere and all in all and a pretty good spot. Will most likely return the next time I need a haircut.

Have never felt so disrespected in my life. Had Hope cut my beard for me. Its my first time with a beard and I know that I was indecisive and for that I give her a 10 dollar tip. She didnt even manage to cut the right and left sides even so I had to go back in to have her trim it even and she said no charge which was nice but I still gave her 10 dollars for her time. I went back a month later to get it trimmed again and she was acting like me being there was wasting her time and was quite condescending about how I was trying to explain myself and in general being rude. I left her a 20 dollar tip this time because I had a feeling that Id be back to dial it in and I was hoping she would respond better because of my tips. She didnt and I literally had to walk out of there with my jawline hair uneven again. Terrible attitude and customer service from Hope at Switchblade Barber Shop.

I’ve been getting my haircut from Switchblade since they opened. I’ve had Hope, Shevaun, and Chuck and every-time I’ve come away impressed with their ability to get an awesome haircut. The only thing I can say is that if you are not happy with your haircut Hope or Shevaun will go out of their way to correct any mistake. I have seen a new barber start and I have watched Hope and Shevaun take their time to try and teach him and ensure the quality of the haircut is good for the customer. Again I cannot stress enough that if you communicate with them they will go the extra mile to ensure you are happy.

Hope is awesome and did my high and tight flat top perfect. She used the straight razor on the sides and back and uses really great products both to shave and style with. Hope is also super friendly and really great to chat with. If your looking for a great men’s cut check out Switchblade.

Shevaun and Hope have always been awesome. Ive never had a bad cut with them. Its difficult at best to find a barber who has the talent and skill to do straight razor fades and beard cuts, and they get it done perfectly with precision. Greats prices and awesome atmosphere. Would definitely recommended everyone go here. Slightly more expensive than the chains, but well worth the extra coin. The skill customer service and friendly atmosphere is well worth it.
