Poor experience with Dr.Gomez. Had braces placed in hope of having my teeth straight. She is unprofessional. I was always is pain when she worked on my teeth. Never listened to what I had to say. I had my braces removed and now I have a gap in my front teeth, my teeth are oddly shaped and I have developed a lisp. She left me with glue on my teeth (from the braces). She filed down my enamel and left a dent-I had to see her colleague to have it fixed. My bottom teeth have areas on the enamel that are uneven as a result of the filing to my teeth by Gomez. The material she placed on my front tooth to hide the gap she created fell off. I have tried to resolve this with Gomez and she feels she has done an excellent job. Wont take ownership that she created a gap and I should have not been left with this result.I have been seen by two other dentist and an orthodontist and all three were perplexed as to why she would leave my teeth looking the way she did. She would never discuss plans with me when I seen her. By the time I would close my mouth and open my eyes she would be gone. I would have to ask her assistance questions in which they would go to her and ask for me. I had screws place along my bottom right gum area and when it was time to remove the last screw, she pulled it out without numbing the area etc. I was in so much pain, expressed it and she continued as if nothing. I have enclosed pictures before and after. Her front desk staff is always leaving-this says a lot about her. I now have to spend more money to fix the gap she has created and try to fix the shape of my teeth. I have donated over 5,000 to this office-yes donated. The pictures have captions. The last one without the gap is prior to having my braces on. The other three with the gap is my end result-after braces removal. Horrible work. She claims she gave me upper and bottom retainers. She only gave me a top retainer in which I continue to use. She doesnt remember that she told me I didnt need a bottom retainer because she place a permanent retainer (wire) on my front bottom teeth. Poor dentist with poor ethical practice.

The care here is so professional and yet caring. I love Pure Smiles. First time in years I have really had the guts to take care of my teeth.

I’ve always been treated professionally and thoughtfully at this dentist office. Anyone from the hygienists to dentists to staff, everyone has been kind and thoughtful. I have always had really anxious experiences at the dentist but they take the time and care to make sure you feel comfortable with anything they’re doing and prescribing. They went above and beyond to help me get my mouth guard at the best cost for me with my insurance. This is the first dentist I have felt truly comfortable with and very much recommend them.

Very polite and great dentist office. It was dentist who referred me there that screwed up But in the grand scheme of things they didnt screw up because it was an absolute pleasure to it have an appointment with this dentist. They treated my daughter with such care and such & finesse that I am looking forward to the pediatric dentist that they referred me to bring my youngest daughter to.She took so much time and explained everything so politely to us and she was just absolutely amazing. I actually like the office they’re very nice except for the girl to task I went in I sat and talked to Dr. Gomez she was very good I got up and took only 10 minutes I went to the front desk to pay and the girl with the dark here the rude one told me I had to give them $145 for 10 minutes I can understand paying for the x-ray that they took but she said to come back it literally was a 10 minute visit anyone that greedy is not going to see my business again

My dad was seen by Dr. Gomez and experienced a terrible time there. The staff was not friendly and welcoming at all. The doctor was only interested in her finances, than in the best interest of her patient. It’s a well lesson learned to never return and take our family to a better place.

I bring my 2 daughters who are 8 and 10 years old to this office. Everyone who works at the front desk are very nice. The dentists are very friendly and gentle. They explain everything they are doing to my girls which keeps them at ease during any procedure they are doing. My girls are so happy with this office. I highly recommend them.

Best dentists I have ever had great staff! I have been a patient in this office for 5years now. I have seen Dr.Gomez, Dr.Yanover, and Dr Bangiyev they and the other members of the staff (I apologize I dont remember all their names)have all been professional, friendly, and kind. They treat me and all my family with great care. If I dont understand something they explain it to me they took time from their busy day to explain my insurance benefit and my costs. I have had fillings, cleanings, extractions and implants they have been excellent with all of those things. I appreciate having finally found a dentist that exceeds my childhood dentist who was awesome!

Pure Smiles has been my regular dentist for years now. At first, i was very pleased coming from a horrific office. Now after just a few years i am really unhappy. The staff is not friendly, especially the front desk woman!! Dr. Gomez isnt friendly at all either. The cavity fillings hurt terribly, i constantly get charged for things i had no idea would cost me anything and they have told me i needed fillings for multiple teeth. Upon getting a second opinion, it was determined i had zero cavities. They only care about the $.

Dr. Norma Gomez she is a pure pl azure to talk with an you explains everything in detail and the way you can understand. I would highly recommend Dr. Gomez and her staff as one of the best dental practices. I had a bad experience with a dental office an afraid to go back. My youngest daughter was afraid of the dentist. Her previous one did not seem to have patience .So I found Dr. Gomez and she was wonderful with my daughter who was so scared. My daughter trusted her friendly and professional manner. She discusses each procedure and I have been happy with all her work. I have had crowns , fillings and cleanings done by her. My youngest has had fillings and a cap put on by Dr. Gomez thats all she will trust.. My oldest has braces by Dr. Gomez and had oral surgery today by the surgeon who also was very professional. The staff is always friendly . My husband is also a patient . So as a family of 4 and having a daughter with braces on for almost 2 years we are in her office quite a bit. It has always been a good experience.

Im an adult who is currently undergoing my second experience with having braces and I couldnt be happier with my experience with Dr. Gomez. Ive had a lot of work done on my mouth since a young age (braces, multiple root canals, fillings, extractions, etc.) and I never thought itd be possible to have a good experience, until I came to Dr. Gomez. Her bedside manner is amazing -- shes patient, and explains every step shes taking and why. Her office staff is wonderful, and they make followup calls to confirm my appointment and check on how Im doing after my procedure. Aside from visits for my orthodontics, Ive also had extractions done here, and the experience was amazing. Im naturally very anxious before a general check-up, let alone a surgical procedure, but Dr. Gomez made sure I was as comfortable as possible. I would recommend her to any patient seeking services on their mouth, they will surely have a positive experience.

Known Dr Gomez for many years. She was unbelievable. However in the past few years that quality of service has gone downhill. Staff is rude-especially the new front desk girl. No follow-up callI am now in search of a dentist needing to get the completion on my dental work. As someone wrote. It’s all about the $$$. I can not speak more highly of this practice. My daughter had an appt today and saw Dr. Yanover and she was beyond AMAZING. She was patient, understanding and calm. my daughter is 4 and was scared and refusing and Dr. Yanover took her time, kept her mood very calm and understanding for a whole hr! My daughters father was even getting frustrated and Dr Yanover was able to dismiss his negativity and keep the room as calm and good vibes as possible...the end result..my daughter went thru the entire exam!! I have raved to everyone I know about her and the office since Ive left this afternoon. I truly wish Ive known of this practice YEARS ago, because I would have been a patient there since. Ive had my children go to some of the most recommended Drs in CT..and I definitely feel Pure Smile should be right on the same map, if not higher. some of these famous drs arent a 10th of compassionate and patient as most people, never mind being a busy dr. Being a nurse and then legal guardian of my now 17 yr old brother and having a 4 yr old, who between the both of them, see plenty of specialist... I wish alot of these drs and offices were like Pure Smile. Thank you SOO much Pure Smile staff and Dr Yanover for a jaw dropping, calming, successful visit.

I had a great experience today at Pure Smiles. The front desk was super professional and informative with my insurance/the process of my upcoming treatment (I dealt with Angely specifically). Martha was the assistant and did an awesome job with my xrays/helping me during the cleaning. The doctor was kind and sensitive to my pain while being efficient with getting the work done. I have a few dental issues and she was very clear with how we will proceed. I came here after having a horrible experience at grand dental and will say I am thrilled I did. I will be sure to do all my dental work here during my time in CT -- thank you guys!!

Weve been very happy with the service and care received at Dr. Gomez office. The office is clean and very professional. Ive had cleanings, xrays and two wisdom teeth out through her office and all were done with minimal discomfort (and I am terrified of the dentist!) and expertly. She has also seen all 3 of my kids, so she is equally good with kids.

I have been a patient for seven or eight years now and I am very happy with with their work. I would recommend to everyone.

First they made an appointment for wisdom teeth extraction but didnt even tell me which teeths, then did not ask me if i wanted to be put under or what, did not explain what i had to do an hour prior to the surgery, then now they are telling me i owe them more money, and telling me ive been told about that which i was not! Not recommending this clinic to anyone!

I would give this Dentist office 0 stars if I could. The staff is unprofessional and treated my daughter differently as soon as I mentioned she had autism. In fact, they were almost pushing us out the door. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Ive been going to this dentist for a year and the final experience was the last straw. I had an infection and needed a removal of a molar. I had a x ray and was told to wait till Thursday, i couldnt becuase of the pain i was in. I was recommended to other dentists that were all closed. My mother found one in east haven which took me and sent my bill to my insurance company rather then telling me they were closed and chargeing me 100+ (which is what gomez office did). The best part is that when the xray was taken the second time due to them not sending them over when they said they would, the east haven dentist told me my infection was so bad it was leading to two other teeth and was on the verge of hitting my sinus area. I dont recommend this dental care for anyone, just glad i found another that worked with me in a mature and non attitude manner. This place puts no care in there work.

Bad. loud waiting room to get you maximum stress level. then wasted appointments to charge for no reason, as well as lack of referral appointments--they will tell you they set up the root canal appointment and fib to get you to keep making appointments with them, without forwarding info or any other helpful pass off.
