Ive been here a few times recently. I picked up a couple of cars and the reservations were handled smoothly by Adis. I also dropped off a car that I had rented somewhere else and the other staff were friendly as well. Will definitely keep using them.

As usual my experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Branford, Ct was a great experience. I had the same experience many times in the past and this branch and this company is the one I would go to whenever I need to rent a car. I was picked up from my mechanic and had a nice conversation on the way to Enterprise with the gentleman who came to get me. I was upgraded to a brand new car that was spotless. When I brought the car back I was immediately taken care of and given a ride by the same gentleman back to my mechanic. The staff is very knowledgeable about cars and very helpful. If youre going to rent a car you should rent from them

There weren’t any small vehicles on the lot so I had to rent a larger car. I had to pay an upgraded fee which should have been waved. The car was expensive so I paid extra coverage because I was afraid not to. Every vehicle smelled of cigarette smoke, a few of them also smelled of marijuana. The car I rented had 0 gas and 0 window washer fluid which I did not notice until I left the lot. To mask the cigarette smoke there was heavy car deodorant. When that wore off it was straight smoke. Obviously there is no enforcement to prevent this. It should be declared to every renter, not just a sign on the wall because no smoker cares about signs if they want to smoke knowing there won’t be a penalty. I had a migraine for the duration of the rental. I did report the Smokey car but there weren’t any alternative cars. I was finally able to switch the high end larger car for a smaller car which also smelled of smoke. The agent that handled my car was not the friendliest, but it was busy. At the return of my rental I complained to the manager. He was apologetic but that really didn’t help my 2 weeks of migraines.

Initially I was given a car which reeked of cigarette smoke which according to Enterprise is against their policy ..after driving it for several hours I called and spoke with Josh who offered me a replacement car for the next day. When I arrived the next morning Francesca assisted me and gave me a replacement which I drove for approximately 10 days and was to my liking. Both Josh and Francesca were very apologetic and very professional in handling my complaint.While my experience with Enterprise began and very unsatisfactorily your staff corrected it immediately and provided me with a satisfactory experience. My only suggestion is that you thoroughly check cars before renting them out to be sure they have not been smoked in.

The process was stress free and simple. I needed the car longer then I expected and it was as easy as calling and just extending my reservation and I was able to keep my rate.The only issue I had was the heat on the passenger side stopped working but that kind of stuff happens which is why I still gave it a 5 star and I’m sure if I were to call they would have switched the car out. Branford CT location was extremely friendly and helpful.

Enterprise brought me the rental car right to the garage I was having my work done. When it was time to get my car I just needed to go to the garage and they had Enterprise come pick it up. I was not inconvenienced in anyway. The car they brought to me was new and clean and had a full tank of gas. All the paperwork was done online on a tablet which they had with them. They were accommodating. That is such a relief when you are already stressed about your own damaged car. It was nice to be taken care of , I didnt have to call or ask questions , they did it all. Thank you Enterprise in Branford CT!

I was on my way to pick up a rental car at a nearby enterprise location where I had made a reservation. Enterprise called me only 15 minutes before my pickup time to say I would have to go to a different location to get the car. When I showed up they gave me a different car and the employee told me that the suv they were giving me got the same mpg as the compact car I reserved. This surprised me but I didnt argue. Sure enough the car got 50% worse mpg than the car I thought I was paying for. The employee at my drop off location apologized and said she would put a note on my reservation. She also said I should call the pick up location to get some sort of assistance/partial refund. I called my pick up location and they said they couldnt do anything about it. Overall a very frustrating experience in which I felt lied to and mislead.

I waited in line outside as instructed, and watched 3 men waltz in, skip the line, and get service before the line of people waiting outside. The staff was flustered and rushing. The gentleman that was helping me was very nice but was clearly rushed.I was then given a rental that I watched someone drop off not 5 mins prior. The car was not cleaned, but it was given a quick “sterilization” wipe down before .When I got into the car it smelled like a wet dog was chain smoking and there was DRIED BLOOD in multiple spots inside the car. Even if I’m wrong and it’s just soda or coffee, there is still someone’s SALIVA in that, during a pandemic. Absolutely gross and unacceptable cleanliness standards.I tried to contact my local branch and they will not answer the phone. Sat on hold for 10 and 5 minutes on 2 separate calls.Ridiculous.

The gentleman who helped me out represented the company well.As for the rental, unfortunately the Enterprise car smelled like someone smoked in it. This is my second car smelling like smoke.Tough to enforce no smoking, so completely understandable. Hopefully Enterprise will figure out a tighter control process for those who violate the non smoking policy.

Employees are rude!! They think who they are!! And they had My husband sign for there insurance when he told them he was using our own insurance and now I’m getting a run around to get that credited😡😡 I asked to speak with the person who took care of us and was told he would call us and never did and I called for a manager and still haven’t received a call back from the manager either!! This will be the last time we use enterprise and I will be sure to let family and friends know how they like to rob people for there money and give you a run around when you are trying to get the issue resolved!!

This was the WORST experience I have ever had renting a car. The manager Francesca DeMaio is rude and unprofessional. She manipulated my words and down right lied about giving me deposit back. I still haven’t received it. She refused to listen, she automatically assumed things that weren’t true. She acted like a toddler and seriously needs some customer service training or to go into a different profession. I have tried calling corporate but no one gets back to you. I will NEVER rent from Enterprise again and I will pass the word along that your Branford office location is a terrible place with a HORRIBLE manager with no appropriate people skills.

Terrible. I reserved a cargo van on 25 June, for 13 July pick-up. When I arrived for pick up on the 13th, Enterprise in Hamden, CT didnt have it. At 3:00 pm I called and they sent me to Enterprise Branford. They didnt have what Id requested. They had a high top truck, which was too high for my garage. I took it anyway, due to my schedule. It was more expensive than my original reservation, it was dirty (which concerned me due to Covid 19 issues). My first bad experience with Enterprise, having used them for many years.

Well run shop. Erin is the manager and does a very good job at managing an extremely busy retail operation.My only issues have to do with the checking in process and staff:I am a member of Enterprise Plus and have all of my rental information and preferences registered, yet I have to go through the whole litany of questions - a waste of time. I appreciate a friendly staff, but really dont need someone asking why I am renting and where I am going. Finally, I think the dress of the staff is less than professional looking - that really pertains to men only, women are very presentable.

I frequently rent from this branch and honestly I’m a bit disappointed. I called 2 times 3 weeks and a week prior, to confirm they would have a specific car in stock. They told me they would work their hardest to get me the car I asked for- it was even specifically mentioned in the reservation notes. Day of rental they have dozens of cars, but not a single one has the feature I had asked for. This place has no business at the moment, what are they so busy doing that they can’t properly coordinate inventory across the different branches. I cancelled my reservation and they’ve lost my business; didn’t think to maybe call me and let me know the car I requested wouldn’t be available?

The assistant manager is amazing and quickly turned around my customer experience after receiving the worst customer service at the West Haven branch. She made sure my needs were met and that I was taken care of and really took ownership to make sure my experience with enterprise was a good one.

Enterprise called to let me know that my insurance company arranged for a rental. I was given a wide choice of cars to choose from. I was super pleased with the Audi. It was amazing! Enterprise was efficient and carefully explained the inner workings of the car before I drove off. I ended up needing it for several weeks since it took awhile to repair my car. That was not a problem for Enterprise.Enterprise deserves five stars and I would certainly recommend their service to anyone who needs a rental.

Wow, this has to rank as one of the WORST experiences of my life. I was *trying* to rent a car from CT to SC, one way. The first insult was Enterprise telling me that they wont pick me up, like they show in the commercials. I have no way to pick up the car now, so I have to shell out $50 to Uber to get me there. I get to the counter and take out my debit card to pay. The woman behind the counter asks me for a utility bill. This is a *new* credit check policy for people who use debit cards. Now I JUST HAPPENED to have a cable TV bill on me- lucky, right? Nope. The bill I had listed a balance on it. This was UNACCEPTABLE to Enterprise. Only utility bills with a $0 balance are acceptable to them. It shows you pay things on time. Now if they run my debit card right then and there, The money would be taken and theyd have their money. So then they tell me that I can use a credit card to pay- sorry, but I dont have a credit card with a thousand dollars available to me to rent a car. So basically Enterprise is penalizing me for using a debit card instead of a credit card. I could easily charge the rental to a credit card while waiting for a huge debit to be taken off the card.This is completely ridiculous. Charge the debit card at the time of pickup and get your money. When I bring the car back, credit me any money due back to me. Problem solved. Moral of the story- dont go to Enterprise rental if you are a real person with bills to pay and doesnt believe in credit cards.

Reservation was easy to set up online. Communication with employees and myself was clear and concise. Pickup went quick and was helped by very friendly staff. And drop off was met with more friendly staff and a quick signature. From beginning to end was a good experience. The only reason for my 4 star rating is they lose a star for quoting me $40.00 and then it actually ending up $80.00 because I opted to put the full coverage insurance on it for one day. A little expensive meaning the car rental was the same price as the insurance. But other than that I was very happy and would use them again knowing my rental would be at least $80.00.

Kudos to the Branford, CT team. I have shared this verbally to both line staff and the manager but Ill say it here in a formal review: Thanks for taking care of me - good care of me as I rent from Enterprise. By way of history Ive been using this local agency for just shy of two years and have been very well treated by staff and have been given cars that have served me well for my work related travels. Overall, it was a poor experience. The person , who based on the business card was a manager, who greeted me was rude and unprofessional. In addition to this, they did not have the vehicle I booked four days earlier and didnt really care that it wasnt there. I had confirmed my reservation several times and even came in earlier than I planned at their request.In the end I was able to get a vehicle in the class I rented and the second employee who assisted me was helpful.

Enterprise was prompt, courteous and kind. As Honda waited until the last minute to get me a rental car, all that was left was a truck. I was very reluctant to take it but the salesperson worked with me, let me try another SUV type car and then got me settled in the pick up truck despite my reservations. The pickup was very helpful and will make me think of its advantages every time in the future I consider which agency to select. The final price was less than initially quoted.

One of the best managed locations. Other offices, after politely completely the paperwork and walk around the car I was handed the car keys. The Branford representative explained the interior workings too. In my experience, no one has taken the time to do this. I appreciated the time taken.

Was charged an additional $97 for (Im guessing) insurance and road service. I did not ask for these services and was never told in advance that there were additional daily charges and explained what the charges were for. A $305 rental became $402.My advice to anyone renting a car is to TELL THEM UP FRONT THAT YOU DO NOT WANT THEM TO TACK ON ANY CHARGES FOR ANY INSURANCE OR ROAD SERVICE OR GOD KNOWS WHAT BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE RENTAL AGENCY OTHER THAN THE ORIGINAL PRICE YOU AGREED TO WHEN YOU BOOKED ONLINE!!!!!!Edit: I did write to Enterprise as per the owners request so that they could address this problem. So far one week has passed since I wrote to them. Other than an automated response, I have not heard back on how this is being addressed. I want the $97 refunded to me for services I dont not request or want or have any use for.Edit:Was contacted by Enterprise and was told that I have been refunded the $97.I should have been refunded my money when I returned the car when my rental was concluded and expressed my concerns about these charges in person at the rental agency. It should not have taken a bad Google review to fix this, someone at the Enterprise office should have been authorized and/or willing to issue a refund.

A couple of weeks after renting from this company they contacted me claiming I had damaged their vehicle. I hadnt gotten the usually rental return inspection because my flight left at 7am and Enterprise wasnt open that early. So I just had to leave the keys in the key return box. I explained all of this over the phone a couple of times. No dice. I got a bill for $647 in the mail for a scratch on the front and the side of the car, which I most certainly did not put there. The moral of the story is DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY.

The employees rushed me during signing. Verbally told me I am paying $90 for the insurance. And a total of $563 final cost.When it came time to pay everything in full, they were asking for over $1000!The tire popped as soon as I left the lot. Instead of giving me a new truck they made me wait for 2 hours for tow truck driver to change the flat. They put the spare on and didnt give me a new spare. So I drove around for a week with no spare!Tried making me pay for sirus xm and gps. GPS didnt work. And there was nothing in the contract about paying for the radio.Shady people.

My car was damaged in an accident not my fault, and arrangements made through my insurance company to rent a vehicle through Enterprise at Branford. I was advised that I needed to take compulsory insurance at $17.99 a day. On submitting this claim to the insurance company I was advised this was not mandatory or required as my own policy covered the rental vehicle. I am now out of pocket $467.74. After contacting the manager Erica I was blown off and told sorry there is nothing we can do. We would never try and tell you it was mandatory. I told her that is funny, both my wife and I were under that impression. Be careful not to fall for their sales pitch of mandatory insurance on there rental cars. Very Deceptive Tactics. Will never rent again from Enterprise.

The young men at the desk are unprofessional and rude. They will lie to you about insurance to try to con you into buying extra services that aren’t needed.
