Nothing like getting to location and finding out trucks plate was stolen and they don’t have tools to replace their plate. We are moving today and I made this reservation two weeks ago. And here I sit with no apology waiting for the guy who ran to Home Depot to get a screw driver. Unreal. I do not recommend this location go to U Haul in Brandon. SMH!!!!

Clean office in the mall, good set-up, friendly staff but there was a disconnect when booking online... It allowed me to rent a small vehicle as thats all I needed/wanted (needed as my car all of the sudden was in the shop would only be a to day but I had two extremely important meetings the next day!)When I got there I was forced to rent a bigger more expensive vehicle because they didnt have any of what it stated I reserved online just an hour earlier. It would have been better business to honor the price I reserved especially since I had to take an Uber there and had no other choice.Oh and that car ended up getting a flat tire right after my second meeting and the story is awful for me but Budget did ok on their side.

Prepaid for a rental that wasnt available when I arrived so I had to wait two hours beyond my reservation time. When a vehicle did arrive, it wasnt the type I reserved, the key was broken, the infotainment/radio was frozen and it only had a quarter tank of fuel. I only gave two stars because the young man working there cleaned it real well.Im a long time fastbreak customer and this was terribly disappointing. The delay almost caused me to miss an important engagement that wouldve been very costly. This experience makes me want to go with their competitors for future rentals.

DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! Prepaid for a car got there and they blamed a shortage of cars in Florida for not having a car for me. Told me they cancelled 28 reservations that day. Did they bother to call me to tell me they didn’t have a car!!! No! Told me my voices were cancel ( no refunds btw with prepaid) or just sit around the mall and wait fir a car. I had 2 kids with me and reservations at a hotel with a bday dinner! Why couldn’t they call me exactly? Why couldn’t they hold a car knowing I was coming in? BAD BAD business. RUDE owner RUDE STAFF UNCARING. Never again with them or BUDGET.

They moved their location with vauge signs leading to the new one. Had to pay extra because the person was too lazy to inspect the car. Worst experience ever!!Hope this place goes out of business

SCAM ARTIST! The staff at the Brandon Town Center Budget location is very rude. They blame online reservation for offering me the wrong rate. The counter agent insisted in increasing my reservation rate by $200.00. This is a method to literally rob me for more money! I am so upset !

I thought because I was dropping off a car I would be able to avoid the experiences other have had. Nope I was not that lucky the older woman over charged me and added on an insurance fee I did not agree too. Then when I brought it up to her she said I had to call customer service to get it reversed. Not sure what the problem is here, but I am reporting to the BBB and to budget I would do the same if you are adding to the sad people with 1 stars here.

If I can do a negative start, I most certainly would!!!! What ever you do, do not rent a car from this place!

I called 5 times and askes for a supervisor. 5 times they hang up on me ... the 5th time is was actually a supervisor. The location closes at 4pm and i would not make it on time so i wanted to drop if off at a different location , same day ... the fee was more than $100. The locations were only 20 min away. NEVER AGAIN ... PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM BUDGET. I tried to call global customer service and same horrible customer service. No empathy.

This place is a racket and a giant scam. Dont rent from this place. And also they are NOT open on Sundays. They have a sign to drop off vehicles but no drop box for keys. Oh yeah, you cant drop off cars at this location, even though other locations will tell you that can drop it off there. Budget SUCKS!!!!

Rude and unprofessional staff Was dealing with a young punk by the name of Jeff ,clearly has no respect for customers as two older people (scam artists) sat behind and watched. Dont know why budget car would hire people like this for there company, terrible business

Reserved car 3 months ago. When we arrived, no car. Terrible experience, had to go to airport to pick one up. Over an hour in line so far..wild goose chase and totally wasted day. They never had a car for me at airport. The staff member in brandon should be fired. Will follow up with customer service.

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. Specifically told the owner I DONT WANT ANYTHING EXTRA INSURANCE ROADSIDE ALL DECLINED. Guess what? She didn’t give me a single receipt or rental agreement and scammed me. Added roadside on at the end of my agreement. I was billed an additional $100. BEWARE! Rent from Hertz please. No issues with the reputable companies. This lady and her husband are con artists at its finest.

This place is a joke. Rental reserved a week ago. Show up, and it’s not here. Two hour wait while they foist another car on us rather than delay our vacation-we’re forced to accept.They have no interest in solving problems. While we waited another girl showed up and got the whole song and dance again forcing her to take an upgrade to an SUV for more money. Unbelievable.

If I could put a negative five stars on here would be distasteful towards giving a star. I went there in search for a vehicle and they had 15 car in the parking lot in which I wanted one for two days for military drill they said they dont do in store reservations. It has to be done online. I went there yesterday in need of a moving truck. They told me they cannot rent any of the three moving trucks and they wont be able to get anymore in because I needed it for a day to move 5 miles away from my last location.

Worst. Rental service... too many complications... website reserved car will not be available... customer service will ask to go toanother location to pickup car or pay extra bucks for upgrading which you dont need. Very bad service.

I have never had so many complications renting a car!! Worst experience ever-will go back to Enterprise every time!

Wish I had read reviews first but yeah I too made a reservation only to find out they had 0 cars available. 3 customers in line. We all had reservations and they lost all 3 customers because of it.
