READ BEFORE YOU SIGNUP! I wish I could post positively about Bayshore, but due to some recent communication with management regarding canceling a membership, I would caution someone to think twice when signing up for a membership with them. Their website is deceptive when looking at the paid in full memberships as it indicates a cancellation fee and partial refund if canceled. However, their website fails to mention that it is non-refundable, nor does their cancellation page display this. As the gym does not send over an electronic copy of your contract when you sign up in person, you have very little insight into what youre signing up for and your rights as a consumer. So if you do sign up, make sure you 100% understand your rights if you opt to cancel since they do not make it clear or easy to get this information.Regarding the facilities, yes, there is a wide range of equipment that you might not find elsewhere, but the place could use some renovations. When it rains, there are leaks from the roof throughout the facility. The new section that was built has poor air circulation, and in the rare instance the air conditioner units are running, it still doesnt help much with airflow or heat. In the summer, it is hot and humid, fans will run, but there is little to no a/c to really cool the entire space down, and in the winter, it gets cold, but usually, it isnt an issue since youre typically working up a sweat.

Walking into this place you feel like your walking into a sports arena. You feel overwhelmed with the overall size and the variety of equipment available. The owners certainly took their time to cover just about every corner of this massive facility.Although Im not a regular member @ bsac, I do like to come here sometimes to break up the monotony of seeing the same people all the time at my regular gym. A day pass @ bsac is $10 which I found reasonable considering most places charge $15 - $30 for a day pass. There are pre/post workout drinks available at counter for sale but prices may vary.Whats interesting was the layout. Most places youll find cardio equipment dominating the entire gym floor but not here. As soon as you walk in you will find the cardio equipment at the far right hand corner. You will find treadmills, stairmaster (my favorite), ellipticals, bikes and rowing machines. The plate loaded equipment and machines brands are a combination of icarian, cybex, hammer strength and paramount for those who are equipment enthusist but Im old school. I prefer the old nautilus equipment myself.Anyhow, the lockers are not wide, I didnt have any issues fitting my stuff and my nephews stuff in one locker. They have showers available but I usually wait till I get home to take one. I cant recall if they have a sauna but you can always check the website if that is a must have.Overall Bsac, is a good facility. Endless amount of equipment but I do think they need an equipment overhaul do to the years of wear and tare. The color scheme of the equipment is a bit retro and outdated. There are endless possibilities of what you can put in a facility this size. You can divide it up to fit any style of fitness from CrossFit to strongman and of course bodybuilding.

Really large gym, good working equipment, and nice staff! It can get quite hot and stuffy in there especially during the summer. There are ceiling fans but you barely notice it because lack of air flow.Water fountains each in the women and men locker room, they also have a protein shake counter, lots of TVs at the running cardio station. Locker rooms are pretty clean too.

Literally the best gym in my opinion that Ive ever been to and in the South Shore area. Bayshore looks and feels like one of those stereotypical gyms where you go in, get your hands dirty, lift, get your stuff done and get out. The gym is so big that they have a lot of equipment, even if its packed, you dont feel like it. There are never lines for any stations or machines.Inside they also have a crossfit gym and a boxing area with a boxing ring inside as well. Easily one of the more diverse gyms out there.I wish that they upgrade the lockers though but other than that, I love coming here!

The new owners are really doing a great job making this weight club an all-purpose fitness facility. A variety of convenient classes with great teachers, lots of weight and cardio equipment (would get 5 stars, but some of the cardio equipment is old, and broken and has been for a while). Free child care with a wonderful sitter and staff. Convenient hours, great facility.

3.5 stars. This is a very good gym. Its very large with a lot of equipment of pretty much every variety. A good 7 or 8 aquat racks and plenty of flat and incline benches. Also a tone of dumbbells. No deadlift platfoems though which is dissapointing. This means even at busy times theres very rarely every any issue with benches, racks, or equipment being available. I havent used the classes so cant comment on those. Staff is very friendly, and prices are reasonable (although I would prefer if it was month by month rather than subscription). The main negative that holds this place back from being truly great is that so much of the equipment is old (though theres only a handful of pieces that I would say need replaced). The locker rooms and showers are in sore need of updating, and when it rains there are several leaks throughout the gym.
