Called on 8-8-21 dog tied to tree in front yard with no water. They called the home owner who came home let the dog loose to get water from the water dish 20 feet out of reach then tied him back to the tree with the water dish 20 feet still out of reach and left. The ASPCA has been contacted. I bet animal control works closely with hart, another worthless organization.

Well havent seen or heard anything on this cat hoarder 72 cats and still running a nasty rescue i call phone number its like it was changed.???? So nothing has been done that I can see

They did a good job at handling a delicate situation involving a neighbor that was mistreating some dogs.

I was hesitant to call this place after seeing previous reviews, but I decided to give it a shot after repeatedly seeing my neighbor neglect and abuse his dog.I was extremely happy with how fast something was done! Not only was the dog taken from the owner, but the guy was issued several tickets and fines! I also learned that this business is now owned by a new individual Jack, who is very nice and helpful. So disregard any posts prior to the fall of 2017, which I assume was the previous owner. Hope this helps others!

You were called on 07/26/2017 to the mall in brainerd.. where two ladies watched 3 dogs suffer, of intense heat in a vehicle for over an hour. It took you 20 minutes to show up, to only put your hand in the window of the truck to say its not that hot. And argue with a lady who had her fact straight about an article that had come out in the newspaper a week earlier. You had zero remorse, for these animals who did not chose to be in that hot truck. Obviously uncomfortable. You did nothing but give that owner a warning ? You being an animal control officer, should take pride and dedication into your job.. and you did not. It absolutely sickens me how you can be so ignorant and selfish. Even after my mother and I called to voice our concern on how this situation was handled, we got hung up on. Human or an animal, we are living, and breathing. You handled the situation, Abominabley. I, as an animal lover and a foster parent to animals who do not have a home... I have to say Im completely astonished, by your service and lack of knowledge to keep these pets safe. For someone who claims to be an Animal Control Officer you did NOT come close to doing your duty today. I give you ZERO stars out of 5. However, it doesnt let me post this unless I give you one star!

They never ever show up. We have people that let their dogs roam all the time. These are dogs that growl and charge you in your own yard. We need a real animal control department.

Called to report a stray dog, which was trained and loving, that hung around my friends cabin all weekend. Refused to pick up the dog because it was out of their jurisdiction. The location of the dog was 25 minutes from their office. When tried to reason with them, they hung up. I would love to bring the dog to the humane society myself, unfortunately I live 2.5 hours from here (dog only showed up in the evening for food, and did not belong to any of the neighbors, was dirty and starving). When I asked the owner, if he liked dogs, his response was why else would I be in this job?. Hard to believe when you cant drive 25 minutes to deliver a dog to the humane society when it will most certainly die from hunger. Disgusting people.

Lied and said he would come out to investigate a neighbors dog that is nipping at a neighbor child and people that jog passed and ride bikes passed. He said he would come meet me so I could show him where the dog is, he never showed, still wont answer or call back. This is a genuine issue because people can get hurt and have been and he seems to not care or take his job seriously by simply just replying to people calling to ask him for help

Waited hours for someone to come and pick up lost dog, they never showed.
