Our guide was Daniel Milks and we really enjoyed him. My husband was not in the best of moods but Daniels positive attitude and wonderful sense of humor changed that. The company was very quick to respond to any communications. Daniel told us wonderful legends and local folklore. He knew his facts and went out of his way to make sure we saw everything we expected too. He also gave us tips for the rest of our vacation. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone. In fact, when we get home to NC we will. If you want a funny, informative, considerate and memorable experience My XO Adventures will not let you down.

Our travel agent set us up with My XO Adventures and we were very happy with his choice. Daniel was our tour guide who also happens to own the company. He has a beautiful comfortable Van with snacks and water.He picked us up on time at Alex Johnson which was our hotel and called us upon arrival.We had a private tour of Black Hills, Mount Rushmore, Custer Park and Crazy Horse Memorial.He immediately introduced himself and gave us an outline on what our day would be like and if there was anything else we would like to see . He is willing to customize your day. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and a safe driver. We never felt Rushed and he stayed with us giving us the history of all the places we visited. It was a beautiful day full of beauty, sunshine and the leaves were golden.We had a picnic at Legion Lake that Daniel set up and made for us which included desert. 😊We stopped to see the Buffalos and Prairie dogs.The complete tour was amazing ! I highly recommend MY XO Adventures to anyone who would like a tour by someone that knows the area well , allows you to go at your own pace and wants a really nice, friendly , knowledgeable tour guide.I loved everything about this tour. Daniel was an amazing tour guide. If visiting the blackhills, I would recommend taking one of his tours. Daniel has a great amount of knowledge and history of the area. My husband and I had never been to this area and it was nice to not have to drive so we could take in all of the sites and the beauty of the blackhills. Daniel also never rushed us and he also packed a fabulous picnic lunch for us to eat in Custer State Park. If you are looking for great tour guide in the blackhills area, Daniel is your man. Daniel at My XO Adventures in Rapid City, SD provided us with an outstanding tour of The Badlands. We did a private tour and he was so knowledgeable and informative along the way. My dad and I enjoyed the whole day from pick up to drop off. He shared so many awesome sights with us and assisted with getting in and out of the van every time we wanted to stop for photo opportunities! The whole experience was truly top notch. He packed us the most lovely picnic lunch to break up our day of touring and so easy to talk with all day long. Daniel is the best! One of my favorite private tours by far. He took my mom and I on a tour of Custer State Park, Mt Rushmore, and Crazy Horse Memorial and had such a depth and breadth of knowledge about the area, ranging from the geological formations to the infrastructure in the area to the history of all the different attractions. He’s also a tremendous conversationalist and made us feel so comfortable the whole time. It’s clear that he loves his line of work and we felt so lucky that we had him as our guide in SD! We enjoyed the experience so much that we’re definitely interested in checking out the other tours he’s running globally as well. Highly recommended!

My family and I toured the Badlands with Daniel, and we had a good time. We were completely unfamiliar with the area, so Daniel picked us up and took us through back roads to truly experience this region. As we traveled, he gave us background on the history of the area, the history of the indigenous people of the Black Hills and Badlands, as well as an understanding of why it is called the Badlands. Daniel is very friendly and informative and gave us the experience we wanted. He took us to great viewing places with beautiful vistas. We also made a stop at the Minute Man Missile Museum on our way back to our campground. We enjoyed our tour.

We absolutely LOVED our trip with Daniel to watch the sun set over the Badlands and capture the night sky at its finest! We highly recommend this excursion. You won’t be disappointed! Our tour started at 8:30 am when Daniel picked us up at our hotel. His van was clean and comfortable. He provided snacks and drinks as well as a grand picnic lunch. His knowledge of the history of the black hills was remarkable and he was able to answer all our questions. Besides providing admission to Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse, he also drove us on a 20 mile tour of Custer state park where we saw Buffalo, pronghorn sheep, mule deer, prairie dogs, and donkeys. The Cathedral Spires on the Needles Highway were awe inspiring. We stopped at several locations along the route for pics. I highly recommend Danial and his tour of the beauty of the Black Hills.

Daniel is a knowledgeable guide, entertaining and informative about the badlands and the black hills region. We also enjoyed the Delta 9 museum and video. Daniels picnic was top notch. The tablecloth was very western, with fresh food and fruit, grounding with good conversation about the Black Hills. He is also very engaging and cares about his clients. He is one of the best!

What a fantastic tour! Daniel packed our itinerary yet gave us plenty of time for experiences. His van is clean, comfortable and safely driven. He local knowledge gets you “off the beaten path”. We saw Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park and the Black Hills National Forest. Antelope, bison, donkeys (yep!), prairie dogs, eagles, elk, mule deer. Forrests, grasslands, wildflowers, soaring buttes, dizzying canyons, streams and waterfalls. Served a perfect picnic lunch and kept you posted on clean &safe restrooms along the way. He planned the route to optimize photography - so that sunshine didn’t washout the shots. I highly recommend him!

We just returned from the Mount Rushmore/Badlands Tour with Daniel. Wow! It far exceeded our expectations!Daniel provided a varied schedule every day. We saw all of the expected tourist attractions, but Daniel incorporated a sunset dinner one night atop a butte in the Badlands National Park overlooking millions of years of geologic formations. I have seen a lot of sunsets —- but not like this. It was a truly memorable experience.Another day, Daniel arranged for us to take a short walk (1.5 miles) on a Spiritual Pathway on a private estate. It was another one of those “moments” we will not soon forget.Daniel’s knowledge of the area combined with his high level of professional expertise as a tour guide made our trip better than we could have ever expected. Kudos to Daniel!

Daniel was amazing - fun, organized and a virtual encyclopedia about the area. Fascinating conversations. The lunch was a great surprise - very thoughtful. Our Guide Daniel was Very informative, on time, clean vehicle, Covid19 protocols followed, a wonderful picnic lunch along the creek was fantastic. filling and nourishing, all food groups were represented to include a delicious strawberry shortcake, took us to many places we would have never known if we were exploring on our own, witnessed a Buffalo round up , knowledgeable of road closures and available clean rest areas, small local shops to stop at for sourvineers and to chat with locals , took pics of the group, HIGHLY RECOMMEND, even took the initiative to make us dinner reservations..THANK YOU DANIEL for the wonderful memories.

We used My XO Adventures for a private tour of the Badlands National Park. The tour guide was very accommodating and customized our tour to meet our needs, since it was a private tour. We had a wonderful day and would book with My XO Adventures when in the South Dakota area again.

Wish I could give a rating over 5. The only way to get a rating above the top rating in school is extra credit. Daniel showed extra credit in his preparation. Examples of geological, dates, science, vegetation, etc. I’m a person that asks a lot of questions, which he was prepared for. And he knows all the cool spots for views. We toured Rushmore, Custer Pk, Crazy Horse, Iron Mtn Road, Needles Hwy, Sylvan Lk. Asked Daniel about other area attraction we were visiting ourselves for his input. He does yours in those areas and had great recommendations. Wished we would have booked him for the week!!

Daniel is the best tour guide E-VER! He was very polite, courteous, patient, informative and knowledgeable about Mt. Rushmore.Daniel wasn’t just on time, he was early! He had bottles of water for us, along with other drinks and pops. He even had some energy bars to tide us over until lunch. Lunch was a picnic! Very simple, yet very nice. He had a very nice organized layout for when we returned from the museum. He even included a red checkered table cloth and picnic basket! He had some fresh peaches that were to die for! I ate two, and he let me take one home with me!Daniel stopped often during the tour for whenever we wanted him to, to use the restrooms, get something else to drink, snacks and/or shopping!Daniel answered our questions, and when he didn’t know the answer, he said so. He didn’t just try to make something up, he said he would research it. He even asked us questions! Interested in our lives, i.e. where we were from!Daniel was an excellent driver. With all the hills and curves and tight tunnels, he did not scare us once.It was a long day, but a very good day. We would HIGHLY recommend Daniel as your tour guide.

Yesterday, I was fortunate to join Daniel for his Crystal River Manatee viewing excursion, and it was exceptional, and by exceptional, I mean that I rarely join tour groups because they tend to be too vanilla for my taste. But, because I had heard so many positive comments about Daniel, the organizer for this event, I chose to make an exception and give it a try, and I am very glad that I did.It was a remarkable day, in every sense of the word. In the days leading up to the event, the participants were kept informed on a regular basis, as to developments and while each aspect of the event was executed flawlessly, it never felt regimented.Our group was transported in a very nicely appointed, 12 passenger white van (named Vanna White 😉).The tour guide that Daniel arranged for us in Crystal River was among the best that I have encountered. After kayaking for several delight-filled hours, we proceeded to lunch at the crab plant where we enjoyed some of the best seafood that this former resident of the Florida Keys has ever been served.The cherry on top, both literally and figuratively was a quick stop at Twistee Treat for a bit of dessert.Suffice it to say that this was one of the best day trips that I have experienced in recent memory, and that sentiment was shared by all who attended. I am keeping a close eye on future offerings, and fully intend to participate frequently.Thank you, Daniel, for a truly remarkable day!

Daniel drove us from Sarasota to the Tampa Hard Rock Casino. The van was clean and comfortable. Daniel was pleasant and personable. Hes a good driver who provided us with a safe ride. Upon arrival, our group was greeted in the lounge with a complimentary champagne toast and social hour. We then spent some time in the casino followed by an enjoyable dinner with delicious food. It was a fun outing. Im looking forward to the next My XO Adventures outing!

What a great hands on tour with Daniel! He not only toured the city historic and arts districts but actually took us to the grounds of the Ringling Mansion. We saw the secret garden, burial sites, rose garden, and sat out on the massive mansion patio to see the wonderful sunset over Sarasota Bay. A much better tour than the usual trolley tour. A great and informative way to spend two hours! Daniel knows the history of Sarasota and is happy to share his knowledge in a pleasant and fun manner with his tour guests.
