My 14 year old found this place so we tried it and he loved it. He goes 5 days a week . The more you go the more you learn. Everyone is very friendly!

This is an awesome place to train! I knew nothing about jui jitsu before starting here and it can be intimidating to try something so out of your comfort zone. Everyone was so welcoming and so many people have helped me learn. In the past year and a half I have learned so much about self defense and have gotten in much better shape both physically and mentally. I think all women should learn basic jui jitsu and self defense and this is a great place to train!

Sonny Parlin only knows one thing and it’s Jiu-Jitsu. In a short time I came to realize this is something that everyone should at least have a basic understanding of and a good instructor is an important part of that. They supplement takedowns using wresting as well, good combo. Size does not matter in Jiu-Jitsu which is a very different story in most forms of combat or self defense , great experience for both men and women. Strong lineage if you’re into that type of stuff. Great for law enforcement as well for pinning people down. Great if you already have a background in other forms of combat too.

I trained and instructed at Gracie Bradenton for over four years. It is the best school in Bradenton by far with very high level grapplers and instruction. If you are looking to empower yourself through learning self defense and improving your fitness this is the place to be

My son Ben has been training at Gracie Bradenton for almost 4 years and it has been an amazing experience for him. Great instructors lead high energy, but disciplined and safe classes and Kyle Koziel has been a great coach for my sons freshman high school wrestling season.

This a wonderful place to learn Self-Defense. Not only is it an improvement for you physically it, also helps mentality. I would recommend this gym to anyone of any age or gender. The coaching staff is here wonderful and will help you in anyway you need. Sonny, Joe, and Matt are very hands on and will be there to guide you through this learning adventure. Also the environment is tremendously friendly and everyone gets along very well.

The classes were really good amd everybody was friendly, however I did not appreciate being billed $150 a month while they are shut down during this Covid-19 and I am out of work.

I highly recommend this place...The professor is EXCELLENT and ENCOURAGING... Also, my teammates are very helpful and supportive of one another. This place helped better my Jiu-Jitsu game...

I stopped by to train here while on vacation in Florida and was welcomed by Sonny and his students. Sonny is a great instructor and even took time after class to troubleshoot techniques with me. I also appreciate a school that trains every submission (neck cranks, heel hooks, etc) as you have to know these techniques, and defenses, in the current Jiu Jistu landscape. Everyone I rolled with trained hard but safe. I will definitely be back to train at this academy!

I visited this school for 2 weeks while on vacation, and i noticed that sonny, and the other instructors would make sure that each student could perform the techniques demonstrated correctly, before moving on to the next lesson. A type of consideration i have not witnessed before at other schools.

Gracie Bradenton is a fun place to learn the serious art of Jiu Jitsu and not notice the tremendous cardio work out you are receiving. I hate the traditional cardio methods with tread mills, stationary bikes or pounding the pavement with my aging body. The things i am learning with Coach Sonny give me confidence in my every day life. I do not fear being in this crazy world we live in. I want my daughters to experience what im experiencing. I as a father want the piece of mind they can no longer live in fear of the bullies that have scarred them and live with confidence too. I want them to know in every fibre of their being that they dont have to be afraid of the stranger in the dark parking lot are out to get them, But if he does I have something for his A**. Coach Sonny is patient and thorough teacher who loves questions. The techniques are organized and methods concrete coupled with repetition and because of that I dont feel silly trying. I am 51years old and having fun, I dont know why i didnt try this earlier. Thank you Coach Sonny for being you and representing Gracie Bradenton
