I had to bring my cat to the Animal ER of University Park this past Saturday night just before midnight. She had been in so much pain...crying and howling. There was no way I could wait for her vet to open on Monday. I called the ER before I left my house and they said they would be expecting me and told me exactly what to do. I followed all of their instructions and when I arrived they were so calm and friendly...I knew I had come to the right place. They took my cat inside and because of Covid I had to wait in my car a couple of hours because there were three people ahead of me. (They had already told me this on the phone when I first called.) When I finally spoke with the doctor she explained everything they had done, what problems they had discovered, and what I had to do to take care of my cat. Then the nurse came out and gave me the medications I would need along with written instructions for everything and answered all my questions. When I got my kitty back she was so calm, and I was so relieved and very impressed with everyone I met there who were so kind to me and my Tiffany.

I had a fabulous experience at animal ER over the weekend. Every person I came in contact with was extremely professional and friendly. Cindy the receptionist was so caring and so informative she was great. Skyler did a great job too and she was very empathetic and was a good listener. Dr. Lewis was very thorough in explaining what was going on with my dog and friendly and I would highly recommend this team to anyone.

My typical vet is Braden River (which is fabulous, by the way). Unfortunately, because it was a Saturday evening, I was forced to call the nearest ER to inquire about euthanasia for my 14 y/o cat. He was debilitating quickly with liver failure and in the event of obvious suffering, I wanted to do the humane thing.I simply asked about wait time and costs of euthanasia and cremation. The front desk secretary Lisa was not only rude; she was abrasive, annoyed in her tone, and lacked any form of compassion.Making the choice in putting a pet down is devastating. I’m a healthcare provider in a local acute hospital- I truly understand the importance of empathy in treating sick and dying patients. My pets are my family- I expect nothing less when treating him. This is an incredibly challenging time for everyone. If your staff is too burnt out or overworked to provide basic compassion for concerned patients, maybe it’s time they consider a position outside of customer service. This reflects very poorly on your business, especially as the initial contact.

I’m a very skeptical person, and I think medicine is a big business. After this said, I have to admit that I had a fantastic experience with the clinic and its staff. My dog (who is like one more kid in the house) was with his lungs full of liquid, and since he is 12 yrs old, the life expectations weren’t much. They took him in around 11 pm and even I couldn’t go with him inside (which I hated but is the same everywhere) the Vet. call me to my cell and explained everything meticulously, after a while because I didn’t understand everything she called me again and explained again. I was crying and very upset and she was very clear, nice, and patient. And never gave me too much hope because of the situation, but she told me they were going to do their best. During the 24 hrs my dog was in the clinic, I called several times and all the staff was always very patient and nice to me, they even send me a lot of pics so I could see how my baby was doing. They saved him.We don’t know for how long, but they did, and we are going to be eternally thankful for that. And here is something very special about the whole situation, I paid for 12hs and I was supposed to pay for the other 12 hs that he overstayed. They didn’t charge me, but they gave me a refund, of $400, because they didn’t use as many resources as they thought they were going to do.In an extreme situation as is to have a pet really sick, DEFINITELY, this is the place to go.UPDATE: Mi little angel Maxi passed. We had to go back 7 weeks after and they put him to sleep. It was one of the more devastating moments of my life, and the stuff was even better than the first time. I’m still think this is the place to go and still 5 stars review.

Animal ER was one of the best emergency vet experiences I’ve had. The staff was caring and knowledgeable. There was a very long wait time when we showed up (at no fault to the staff) but there were a few times when communication was lacking and we weren’t sure if we should leave or not (for reference our cat was here for 8 hours) of which 4 we were actively waiting on location. And although most of the staff were friendly and knowledgeable there was one woman who was very short with us while we were asking a few basic questions.Even with the wait, I highly recommend Animal ER. I can rely on them to take the best care of my pets when they need it most!Pros: Knowledgeable, caring staff, reasonable prices for Emergency Vet Medicine.Cons: Long wait times, sometimes lacking communication.

Just an amazing place.. From the second they whisked off my 2.5lb Chihuahua, they cuddled her up so sweetly in her blanket, to the phone calls and texts to keep me updated on her progress, this place is top notch! The paperwork and the meds sent home with my girl were very professional and precise as well as easy to to understand. They were so loving to my little girl and so kind to me in my panicked state. I hope they realize how they made something so frightening, so much less frightening. Rudy was so kind and concerned about me and made sure I felt comforted. SO I know my baby was in good hands! I only wish there were non-emergent vets in the area with the same care and passion. I hope no one has to have any pet emergency, but life happens and this is a wonderful place.. go here for sure.

We were out of town and our cat presentedProblems to our cat sitter ( who also was a Vet tech). She took our cat to our Vet,Unfortunately this was on a Fri and our Vet has no accommodations for overnight stays. She recommended the ER Clinic and we had a friend transport her to the Clinic and they checked her in.Our cat was suffering from a kidney disorder and needed ( among other things) her kidneys to be flushed. The staff attended to our cat’s needs and also communicated to us re her condition ( while we were out of town. Our overall experience was very positive as they anticipated our cat’s needs and responded appropriately to them. While the jury is still out re her condition, the staff at the ER facility equipped us with food, meds, scripts and directions to continue our cat’s care at home.Tomorrow we take her to our Vet for another check up… hopefully we will continue to make progress. The RR staff were very responsive - they assisted us at a time when we were out of townAnd we’re limited as to what we could do.I’d give them our highest recommendation

This place recently saved my pups life! I came home from work to find that she had gotten into my mother in laws pills and ate 18 diabetic pills, and an entire pack of gum. I rushed her in, they took her back immediately to induce vomiting and found she had already digested all the pills. They were very quick and efficient, and let us know the next 24-48hrs would be critical to keep her stable while trying to flush the meds from her system. The price was expected, but it was sooooo much less stressful knowing all the money was paying off and she was getting incredible care. They sent pictures of her a few times which was so comforting!!! Very nice touch and helped calm my mama heart lolWe all know pet emergencies can get expensive, but my money was well spent here! No regrets, and my Percy girl is home! We are so thank to the staff! Every single time I called for an update, they never once were irritated with me, every single call, they made me feel validated and calmed our worries. That was a big deal to us, cuz the last thing you want is not to be able to get a hold of the hospital that’s taking care of your baby.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Thank you guys for saving Percy!

I really don’t know where to start. I can’t judge their care as we never got that far. The girl on reception was honestly one of the rudest people I have ever met. There is no doubt she is in the wrong job. Zero empathy for anyone regardless of the situation. To say I am shocked is an understatement. I will never darken the doors of this establishment and would highly advise anyone reading this to do the same. However, I don’t believe this employee would really care. To the owners of this practice, get rid of this heartless, rude excuse of a human being or your doors will be permanently closed. Simply disgusting person. I may send you a dictionary so you can look up the word ‘compassionate’ that you use on your website…..your frontline person was actually anything but.

My 6 month old puppy got stung by wasp and her entire face swelled up like you wouldnt imagine, even her eyes were swollen. This all happened in the course of 30 minutes. I frantically searched for a vet that was open after hours and saw Animal ER on Yelp. They were incredible. They saw my Daisy immediately since she was experiencing anaphylaxis, put her on an IV with antihistamines and steroids and returned her to me with the swelling nearly gone. Over the course of an hour and a half while they were treating her, I was updated numerous times by office staff and the doctor called me to discus her condition and treatment. And after all the wonderful service, I was amazed by how fair the price was. I was expecting a very high bill considering it was emergency care, but it was a similar cost to a usual vet visit. I can not recommend Animal ER highly enough. I hope I dont have to go back, but if I do need emergency animal care again, they are my go to vet.

Too bad theres no Zero option. I brought my elderly cat to the ER yesterday afternoon because my vet was out of town. His appetite had waned in the last day or so, although he was digesting canned food given by syringe. Otherwise, the cat was fine for an old guy. The vet said he was dehydrated, gave him IV fluids plus an appetite stimulant and suggested he might have kidney disease due to age. This morning I confirmed an appt with the regular vet on Monday. But through the day, I noticed that he didnt seem sure of where he was. He still had balance, but appeared disoriented. This cat has good hearing and eyesight--and could even jump up on furniture at his advanced age. This evening as I was putting him to bed, I thought Id look at his eyes in the light. They were completely dilated and unresponsive. Now I know why he was disoriented. He cant see. What the _____? I called the ER, and they said he should return to see the vet. Are they serious, and pay them again to do what? He was admitted for mild anorexia, and now he appears to be blind. Ive had multiple pets treated at Animal ER over the years, and spent thousands of $$$ there. Never again.

The Dr kept communication with us and updated us on how he was doing. They took very good care of my baby. They are continuing to help us even though he has to be transferred to get more help for his sickness he’s currently experiencing. They were very blunt but truthful. They let me come visit him while he was there and were extremely nice every time we came to see him regardless of how busy they were we didn’t feel rushed. They let us bring items from home to comfort him and got him healthy enough to where he can sleep in his own bed and prepare for the rest of his journey to try and fight his sickness. It felt like they really took good care of my dog and showed him love and even sent pictures of him while he stayed there over night which helped me sleep while he was gone. Love this ER! I waited 2 weeks before posting my review....I wanted time to let my emotions calm down. I called prior to taking our very sick pug and was rudely told to just come in and that it is first come first seen. (Their website says to call first) I was told it would be 1 1/2 to 2 hours wait before they could even see him. So we headed up there to get on the waiting list. I kept our dog in the car with us because he gets anxious at vet visits and I didnt want to make things worse. After the quoted amount of time and not being called to come in I called. I asked where we were on the list and was told another 2 possibly more hours. That was shocking, and I let her know what I was told when I called. I was rudely met with an explanation that animals are seen based on severity of illness. I let the girl on the other line know that no one had explained that and asked what is the criteria to be considered urgent enough. After her definition I told her we would be in the parking lot waiting. Finally 4 1/2 hours later we got a call to bring him to the door. I explained everything that was going on and some key points I thought would help diagnose him. About another 45 min went by and the Dr called me to ask me all the same things I told the person I handed my dog over too....Her information was way off from what I told the person at the door. She then told us all the things she would need to do to figure out what was going on. We agreed, but then got another call to come to the door and talk to them. (mind you we are sitting in our car in the parking lot this entire time) This was the money part and we had to sign papers and agree to charges. I expected a large bill I get what an ER Vet is, we said yes, signed and told them to keep going. Several more hours go by and NO updates! You have my sick dog, I am scared and you do not bother to give me updates on what is going on!! We eventually get a call from the Dr to come talk with her at the door to tell us what is going on. She explains that he is diabetic and in DKA and will need to stay to get better. She says this could cost between $4,000 - $6,000 to get him better. Not the best news but we are lucky enough to be able to cover the cost. So after some more waiting someone comes out to give us the new estimate and we sign and pay. While my dog was there no one called me! I was the one calling for updates and checking on him. He was finally discharged after I was able to find a local vet to get me insulin. I just felt like.... I have never paid that much money to be treated so poorly. The stars I am giving are because they did care for my dog and get him stable enough to come home. Surprisingly I got more calls after he came home then while he was there! All though answers to my questions where full of wrong answers. What could they have done better? 1. Have empathy for the owner and the fear they are experiencing. 2. Train staff on better customer service 3. UPDATE people on what is going on! Even if it is just We sent the blood work off 4. Communicate with expected wait times better 5. ACT LIKE YOU CARE!

The staff and team at Animal ER was fantastic. Ive had to take 2 of my fur babies to them during very scary times and not knowing what to do for my sick maltese. Our regular vet was out of the office but they referred us to Animal ER and since we had used them before we went back. We were treated wonderfully by everyone but I want to give special recognition to Amber who helped me make the right decision to stay with them yet giving information for other er vets around that may not have had a 2 hr wait like they did plus, I could maybe go in the office with Teddy, which at this time I could not at Animal ER. There was no pressure but empathy and understanding as to what I was going thru. She also was willing to help with anything I needed, but took wonderful care of other patients and pet parents that I saw her interact with. She never lost her professionalism while still caring. I would like to thank everyone that interacted with and cared for Teddy, for all the information and pictures that I received via text during his overnight stay! Im glad they are open in the evenings, without that availability, it is likely our kitten would not have survived. That being said, i must be honest, and say the corporation who owns this business really takes advantage of their after-hours availability and makes you pay dearly for it. I don’t blame the Drs or the nice people working there, but rather the excessive billing charges that come from the top. Try to make as much off of the desperate pet owners who enter. Its very clear this is what they are instructed. I was estimated up to $4,300 if we kept our kitten there and finally negotiated the price down for whatever was needed for the night and then had her tansferred to our normal Vet the next morning. They will transfer for you. But be prepared to hear the worst case potential outcomes with very high costs and then move your pet out of there asap. They should only be considered for after-hours only, because you u have very little options in our area after 6pm.

He said it would be about 1/2 hour and we could leave and they’d call with radiologist results as they felt safe in sending him home. 2 & 1/2 hours later we finally left. Granted it got busier during this time but I think a little more organization on their part would be a help. I called them about 7:00pm to see what was going on and they said my pup was ready and they were getting the paperwork ready & they’d call me as soon as it was ready in about 5 minutes. I have nothing but good things to say about this emergency vet. My 6 month old cane corso was transferred here from my another Animal hospital needing a blood transfusion. She was just minutes from death. When we arrived they were waiting for her. They took her in and immediately started working in her. She stayed there for a little over 24 hours and came home when she was stable enough to do follow up care at our primary vet. The staff here is very compassionate and patient especiallywhen I was very emotional... I was kept up to Date on my puppys care and status.. anytime I called for an update they were thorough about answering any questions and clear with explaining everything. The pricing was very clear as far as being an estimate. Despite the care she received being quite expensive I feel that it was fair considering the care she received. Also, because, the deposit we paid was more that the care we received a refund of the difference which shows me theyre a very honest practice.Unfortunately, after her follow up visit our pup needed more intensive care and is now at Blue Pearl Specialty Hospital. She is still stable and under their care. The specialist inquired about needing a blood sample from when our puppy was initially transferred to them. I called Animal ER inquiring about this sample and without question they happily searched for it and found it as well as had it cooled and waiting for me to pick up. I was able to get it to blue pearl in hopes that they can figure out what is making my puppy so ill.

This was my first experience having to take a fur baby to an ER. I came home from work on a Thursday evening at 8pm to find my fur baby Fergie needing to visit an ER. I called Animal ER of University Park who verified that Fergie needed to be seen. They apologized and explained to me that they had an approximate 2 hour wait time and provided me with several phone numbers of area ERs that may not have as long a wait. I ended up taking Fergie to them at the Animal ER of University Park. I am SO GLAD that I did! They were very professional and kind! And the wait time only ended up being about 15 minutes. My fur baby was not cooperative AT ALL and they had to sedate her to do her exam, X-rays, blood work, etc. They told me it would be a couple of hours before everything would be done, and that since I lived nearby I could go home and they would call me with updates. I received a phone call later that night informing me Fergie had a very badly fractured femur and would need surgery. Dr.Lewis explained everything in detail, and already had contacted Dr.Rose (surgeon) to inform him she had a kitty who desperately needed surgery. They kept Fergie overnight to keep her sedated (so she wouldnt move around too much and shift the fractured bones making repair more difficult) and provided her with pain meds to keep her comfortable. First thing the next morning (6am!) I received a text and picture of Fergie with an update. They arranged her safe and comfortable transport to the Surgery Center, and called me to let me know when she would be transported. In a very stressful situation, the whole staff at the Animal ER of University Park made the experience a very positive one. I work in the healthcare field, and know how important communication is! They went above and beyond my expectations with keeping me updated and informed about everything! I now know from experience I have access to an incredible ER to take my fur family to if ever I need it. THANK YOU Animal ER of University Park! You will never know how much I truly appreciate your care of my Fergie. (And as a side note, my short wait there was because they were performing a euthanasia on another familys pet. You KNOW your fur baby is in caring hands when you see the staff shedding tears for the family who just lost a loved one).

Our dog received excellent care. The office was efficient with good COVID-19 procedures. We were not allowed inside but the facility looked very clean. I spoke to two vets. Each took time to explain what was going on and the care that was needed. The other employees were courteous and helpful. The only negative was cost. I thought it was expensive.

Rude.I was waiting in line for 15 minutes when the tech with a long white braid finally walked out and was speaking with another couple. It appeared that we were to wait in line for the next spot. She did not recognize that I was there, no greeting, offer of help or even that she would be with me shortly. Then another person walked up past the line, knocked on the door and was offered a form to fill out. Needless to say we left and went to Blue Pearl where we are always treated professionally. If you are ok with being ignored then this is the place to go.

Bottom line is they saved my dogs life! She collapsed 10 minutes after being stung by something unknown on her paw ....we drove directly there and without question the receptionist saw my dogs ragdoll condition and took her directly to the back! She was critical....after she was stabilized we discussed a treatment plan and followed their advice to leave her for 24 hours. We did tell them of course we would pay for the treatment but had some concerns about cost. Turns out, the very kind doctor Pam called me after 12 hours and said she was doing so well, going home would be okay 🙂 This saved a bit of money. People have to realize that they are there and open 24/7 and the costs must be covered. In this case, Dr. Pam saved us a few dollars because my dogs condition improved quickly! Trust the veterinarians, they didnt spend 8+ years going to school, working 12+ hours a day if they didnt truly care about animals 🐶🥰

Had to pay a visit to this er with my dog Lilly on New Year’s Eve. They were busy but kept telling me what was going on and when to expect to see the vet. Everyone was so nice. When Dr Weber called me she was so kind, never rushed to explain what was going on. She also complemented me on have a sweet chihuahua that they enjoyed taking care of. I also saw them interact with other clients and was the same level of care and compassion with each one. They spent what ever time was needed to answer all questions with everyone even though they were really busy. I’m thankful to have this emergency vet close to my house.

I brought my dog in because one of her eyes were super dilated and not constricting like it should and the other one was normal, when I first saw this I was already freaking out and crying. The doctor spoke to my boyfriend and I in a very calm manner which we appreciated and asked us many questions but couldn’t really diagnose the problem but we kind of agreed that maybe it was just trauma from her toy hitting her in the eye and he recommended us some ophthalmologists and said if it seems to resolve on its own, we can see one IF we wanted to but to follow up with our vet just in case, speaking to the doctor and realizing my dog was acting normally made me calm down more and realize she would be okay whatever it is. One receptionist came out and read us what was written on our papers and said we NEED to go see and ophthalmologist even if it did resolve. We just said okay, whatever. The second tech brought our dog out and IMMEDIATELY was frantically saying “There’s definitely something wrong, her eyes should not be doing that. You need to get that checked right away because that is not okay! There is just something wrong!” And immediately after that turned and say “Okay have a good night!” With a big smile on her face. I understand her concern, but I don’t feel it’s right for someone who is not the doctor, or even anyone at all, to come out frantically after I already had a meltdown of my own prior to coming to the ER. We appreciated speaking to the doctor and he was very helpful and calmed us down more, but the interaction with the second tech really upset me with our experience.

My female boxer Oly was rushed to the animal ER of University Park on February 8, 2020. She was then diagnosed with Spontaneous Pneumothorax caused by a Pulmonary Bulla on her left lung lobe. The staff at the ER did everything they could to stabilize my poor Oly quickly as her lungs fully collapse at arrival. Olys procedures included a chest tube to help release accumulated air around the chest wall (Thoracentesis), CT Scan, and Pleurodesis. She was under Animal ERs care for a week before being transferred over to the surgeons facility for further examination and procedures. After her surgical care was completed, Oly was returned to the Animal ER for medical observation before being releasing. I was able to finally bring her home on February 23rd. Not only were they loving and caring with Oly, they were also very understanding with me as well. They understood that she is the child I dont have. I called at all hours of the day and night to check up on her. They always had a doctor explain her current condition at that moment. To make me feel even better during the hardest times of Olys condition, the nurses would send me pictures of my little Oly kissing everyone or sometimes just a simple picture of her before bedtime. They also allowed me to visit her during low peek hours so we could spend quality time. Words cannot describe how thankful I am for their hard work and dedication. Animal ER, Dr. Rose (surgeon), & staff kept my baby ALIVE! #ForevergratefulThese where the Doctors and Nurses who did everything to keep my Oly safe from the worse. On Saturday, 6/12/21, my 8 year old lab had what was likely to be a hemoangiosarcoma rupture on his spleen. My vet called this ER vet to ensure I could be with him after I got off of my 12 hour shift at the hospital since I couldnt abruptly leave work to say goodbye. My boyfriend dropped him off and they ensured he would be comfortable until I got off of work. After arriving, I was told to sit outside on a bench while hysterically crying, unable to see my dog for nearly an hour while others were eating their dinner, just feet away, at Apollonia because due to COVID, no one was allowed inside. When I was finally able to see my dog, I had to drive around to the back of the building where they brought him out and I had to lay on the bare concrete in a back alley of a strip mall to say goodbye to my dog of 8 years. I understand COVID precautions, but Hunter meant everything to me and this experience made a difficult situation feel so much worse. I hope this reaches whoever it needs to so that no one else has to spend their last moments with their pet in a dark alley on the bare ground.

I tried 2 other ER Vets in Bradenton, 1 had an emergency surgery lasting 3-5 hours & the 2nd one had a 4.5 hour wait, and didnt seem to be too concerned. So called Animal ER and they were able to see our dog right away, The staff were friendly, courteous, caring and professional and updated us about every 30 minutes as we waited in our car in the parking lot. First of all they won’t allow any customers/pet owners inside this late in the Covid State of Florida reopening; doors are locked and you’re To stand in the hot sun for hours waiting for them to inform you about your loved ones well being .They are absolutely brutal and do not have an ounce of compassion for the loved ones people bring in for an emergency. It is an absolute disgusting and predatory business practice and I will report them to the State Attorneys office .My male cat kept going to the litter with little or no urine production; that went on for almost 24 hrs and my regular vet could not see my cat.I took him to Animal ER on Monday June 7th after calling them and explaining that my cat kept going to the litter constantly and that he had vomited liquids. When I arrived there I was locked outside for over two hours when someone came out and told me he was blocked and they hand me a quote of $2,200 .At this point I’ve been in the hot sun , dehydrated, anxious and worried about my cats health .I sign and agree to for them to care for my cat .They ask for payment up front but I told them I had care credit so they took my card and told me I didn’t have to pay at admitting. They promised me around the clock care , that they would text me images of my pet and they they would call me with updates daily .Well in the 4 days 3 nights he spend in the hospital I never received a single phone call ; I was calling THEM twice a day for updates and asking several questions. When I was informed that he was all better on Thursday the 10th I told him I could get him after work .I get there and again I’m waiting outside in the direct sun and they come out and hand me a bill for $3300 !!!$1100 higher than my signed contract; I informed them that there was a discrepancy in the pricing i was told “ a blocked cat is three to four grand “After an hour they come out with my original signed contract for care and now they had to show the “office manager “ so that he/she could come speak to me .Again I was made wait outside in the hot sun and after 35 minutes they came out and said that office manager was “ still in meetings “ and could not come speak with me .But since there “was a mistake “ made in billing and no one called me they would “only “ charge me the 20% over the $2200 on the contract .Absolutely disgusting business practices and I am not done with them ; I will report them to the better business bureau, the Florida Board of Veterinary and State Attorney Office .After I pay their bill they inform me that my cat could become blocked in a hour , day or a week and that it would be back .Who says that ?? Like really you Just hustled me for $2600 and that is what you’re going to tell me ??That all the money I paid was for nothing ??Like you cant Have compassion and say that he will be ok ?I get him him 1.5 lbs lighter than he was when he went in , he was shaved in a dozen areas of his body and his arm were the IV was is all mangled .Absolutely barbaric treatment…. Do not ever take your pet there .I will also dispute the charge they made to card.** do not take your pets here **

Horrible experience. I brought in my French Bulldog who was having right hind leg issue. It looked as if he dislocated his hip but ended up being a muscle spasm (not diagnosed there). They wanted to sedate him and get xrays quoted me almost $800 which I dont have. They gave him an injection of morphine and rx gabapentin. I was going to take him to a local vet the next day so I did not have to file bankruptcy to have my dog evaluated. The next morning his leg was fine it was a muscle spasm. The vet could not clinically diagnose a muscle spasm and wanted to work him up would have left me with a huge uncessesarry bill.Oh and he waited for 2 1/2 hours before the vet even laid eyes on him. There was another emergency and the office did not communicate that with me.

The vet was very caring when she called me with not great information. I wish I could have been with Tiggy her last few hours. I do understand the covid concern.. Its tough for these facilities.. they want to be good for one pet, but know they have to be good for a bunch of pets.. They did great for my sweet girl considering limited options.. I know this facility took care of my pet after she passed.. The vet sent me a very kind note when I got Tiggys ashes back. I recommend this place..

Kitty woke one day suddenly looking very ill, feverish, stopped eating/drinking, and using her litterbox. My own vet was unable to see her, as were their 2 other locations. Animal ER was willing and able, so we took her in immediately. Check in/paperwork was straightforward, although the parents had out wait outside. Staff came to check on me a time or two, to update, and even offered me bottled water. Communication was excellent, staff informative and professional with recommendations. After an overnight stay, kitty came home with medications in tow (so we didnt have to make a trip to the pharmacy), and within a couple days seemed almost back to her normal self. There was some concern she was terminal from lymphoma but final ultrasound report read to me over the phone the following week determined that was not likely. Kitty doing well a couple weeks later. The only hitch in the process was picking up kitty. I arrived at 4:30p as directed by the vet who said everything would be ready. It wasnt. The discharge process took 40 minutes, with me at the curb, car running (it was a very warm day). About 35 minutes in, tech brought kitty to the car, but without her take-home medications, made another slow trek in to retrieve. You still get 5 ***** due to communication, discharge notes, with a copy for kittys vet, and the extensive time Dr G spent reviewing her condition and options, as well as having meds on hand to dispense. Very impressed with the Animal ERs operation.
