First time there. Great place. Friendly, reasonably priced and work done was excellent. I now have my new spot for vehicle repair and maintenance. Also, I had a major problem and they fit me in right away and got me back on the road the next day ! Highly recommended.

I drove from NJ to Bradenton and the last 2 hours of our drive, my car started making a pinging noise. Almost like a metal on metal noise and only sounded when I accelerated. I was referred to Toms by a friend who lives locally and has used them on a few occasions. I called there and spoke to Donnie. He was very nice, listened to what I was hearing and told me it sounded like I got bad fuel at our last stop. He suggested to fill the car up with premium fuel and drive it around some. Well, his suggestion worked! He couldve had me bring my car in and charged me, but he was honest and super nice. I did call the next day to let them know it worked and to thank Donnie myself. This is what a mechanic should be, honest and reliable. I would recommend him / them to anyone in the area.

Took my car in for brake work and they tried to over charge me $800 for work I did not need for parts that were still good. I knew something was not right so I went to another repair shop who showed me I only needed $250 worth of work. I could not get over the fact that they tried to rip me off with a straight face.

I had delt with Donnie and he was very patient and helpful. When I picked my car up and met Tom. I would not take my car anywhere else. Tom is the owner and was also very helpfulExceeded all of my expectations

Had a real rough ride start out of nowhere on my work truck, it felt like it was coming from the front tires which were replaced elsewhere 6 months ago. Took my truck to that place which was nice enough to take said tires off and rebalance, after I left the rough bumper ride continued, I knew something was not right. I am aware of Tom’s shops capabilities to lift a truck my size so I went to see him for a 2nd opinion. Tom personally took my truck for a ride, came back and started inspection himself....well he discovered the issue, A HUGE bubble in my rear tire, had it popped while I was on the Expressway no telling what would have happened!! Why didn’t the other place inspect ALL my tires? Well Tom’s doesn’t miss a beat, they do a proper 21 point inspection no matter what. After doing so, I have two new tires and a transmission service to replace the fluid in my transmission we’re completed. Thank you to Tom and his staff for taking care of my truck the correct way.

Good people. Good work and decent prices. I was very happy with the work they did to my car. Lots of stuff dont and it was ready the same day. (What I had done) New shocks and struts, inner and outer tie rods, sway bar links, new brakes and master cylinder drained and flushed.. Im very thankful for them. Good honest hard working men. Tom and his team are always honest about The schedule of the shop and how much he thinks itll cost. Hes always upfront, and let you know what he can do and what he cant. His shop is super busy and sometimes it may take him a couple of days to get to my car, but if I schedule it with him hes always good About getting done right and on time. Ive Been to a lot of different mechanics in the past, but I keep coming back to Tom auto because I know hell do a good job.

Brought my car in after Pep Boys gave me a very high quote. Tom personally answered my call on a Sunday and took extra time getting a quote for me. My car was ready the same day the parts came in. Highly recommend, he was honest with the pricing for what was needed and upfront about what extra work might need to be done.

In May of 2018 I took my 2011 2500HD to Toms for a blown head gasket. I ended up selling my truck at a very substantial loss without an engine in it because Toms Automotive was unable to repair the engine. He had the truck for over 6 months and charged me over $7000.00 to replace the heads and then wanted another $13,000.00 to put a new motor in it.

Was overcharged for a replacement part that I supplied. Mechanic was not informed that part was supplied by vehicle owner. When employee called vehicle owner that car was finished, he said he would subtract price of factory part and put owner’s replacement part on car. The vehicle owner’s cost of part was not deducted from total price. Total price was 55 dollars more than expected. Will not use their services again.

Tom and his crew have been doing my work for years. Ive never had a reason to be unhappy with the service. Work was excellent and I never felt like the price was unfair.I have recommended him many times.
