Showing care and finishing well are essential for service companies. I learned this over the course of 25 years in property management; the last 10% of the job influences 90% of customer satisfaction. So while I am pleased with the new elevator, I remain disappointed that I am still waiting for the aluminum key guides after 3 months. They are a minor trim piece that they promised to bring back within a few days - now we are just getting the runaround. And when I suggested withholding the final installment (only 10% of the project) until the guides were installed, they disabled my elevator - a bit extreme in my opinion. The workers were very pleasant and did a good job. My only other concern is that they did not use drop cloths. We had to clean the carpeting on our stairs as a result. This is just another component of showing care and finishing well.I suggest looking elsewhere. Otherwise be diligent to make sure you do not experience the lapses that occurred on my project.

I am very happy with my experience with Florida Lifts. Specifically Diego. He helped me through the process of bringing my residential elevator to code and making sure it was serviced. He also ensured that I understood how to respond to any elevator issues because we intend to offer its use to our family and friends. So, we have a maintenance plan in place. And we will continue to use Florida Lifts to service and inspect it.

Kevin was a very knowledgeable technician. He was interested in giving good service and in solving the problem. I was very pleased with his work. I was also pleased with the lady who answered the phone. She recognized the fact that there was a problem and she took care of getting a person to our home. A special thanks to everyone involved Lew Baker 103 Santiago St., Royal Palm Beach

Very childish, doesnt feel like youre dealing with a company. This is our lift in the picture, it looks very nice. On June 12th we gave a $21,000 deposit and was told 5 weeks. 11 weeks later they show up take a second check for $11,000 and installed what you see. Said they are missing a part and will be back when it arrives. No update or communication on their part always have to keep asking them for updates. Last update we got was that they were coming this past Monday never showed. Today its been 3 weeks and the update we got today was that they are coming on Monday. We are unable to move in to our office because the city of Temple Terrace will not give us occupancy without the lift. I think if they want to be honest they should explain their average actual commercial customer deposit to inspection time before they take a deposit. That way the customer knows what theyre getting into and has no hard feelings.Thank you for your response:No frustration on my part just disappointed with my choice. Frankly I cannot be a GC and frustrated, just doesnt work somehow. Yes, you understand correct I am the GC. I am the one who solicited bids, met reps, and made the purchase decision. I am the one and only contact listed on the contract (page 4) signed in mid-May. I passed on your contact to the company much later on July 30th and was copied on their 10-line email to you. Yes, by working very hard with the customer I was told by the customer to be there Monday for no one to show. The site work that was done was based on plans for a similar model sent by Trinity Elevator Service who submitted a competing bid I decided no to accept. If you look at your email server you will see that I never received plans from you. This is what general contractors do they take shortfalls and try to locate the necessary information in order to avoid problems later on. Even the final plans, which where annotated with pen, I signed in a random space on the hood of my truck and never got a copy either. So if you want site-work simply send plans. Even the special electrical disconnect I had to email on August 14th to ask for specs for. I remembered it by sheer chance on that day after it was mentioned in passing almost a month earlier back the July 18th late afternoon site visit. Wouldnt you say I should have received that info as well without asking? The installers were very good and competent and remarked about how shocking it was for a GC to provide a dumpster for the pallets, on-site tool storage and key, and safe overnight trailer parking. This is my point about childish, as any contractor reading this knows the meaning of blaming site-work or another sub. Framers blaming drywallers, HVAC blaming electricians, weve heard it. If the customer didnt have a contractor they would have had to wait even longer because Im sure that no version of the plans of this actual unit were produced in time. I have no access to your systems so youd have to check for yourself. This was my point about honesty about actual achieved commercial turnaround times to prevent hard feelings. I am reasonably certain that if I order the lift I need for the Morris Bridge building from you history will repeat itself. Which brings me to my final point and the purpose of this review: in short this is a cautionary tale for whoever reads it and decides to take heed. I have had the general manager’s number for 2 months, it has done me no righteous. If he can make the Certificate of Occupancy happen without the lift final then he can further contact me as he is also aware of my number or contact the city inspector directly. Cheers,

These guys USED to be great. Kevin K. was an excellent technician, super experienced. However on his last visit he diagnosed the problem correctly (I know because Ive called another co since then) but basically gave up on trying to fix it. Since I am on a $450/yr maintenance contract, I followed up again to see if and when they are returning to fix my elevator. I received a return call directly from Kevin saying they no longer wish to service my elevator. I guess it was too challenging. They did, however, send me another $450 invoice to renew my maintenance. If you have an easy job theyre your guys. If its something a bit more challenging you might be better off elsewhere as I discovered.

Florida Lifts helped me out of a real jam. My husband has one leg and he relies on the elevator being in good working order every day. I had engaged another “Elevator Service” company who promised me day after day they would come to fix my elevator but never showed.I called Florida Lifts and explained my situation and what I had been through waiting for the other company day after day. Florida Lifts saved the day for me. They were able to squeeze me in the following morning! Their technician, Cory, came at the time promised and fixed the elevator in under an hour!!!!I can’t thank them enough!!Florida Lifts - reliable, arrive when promised and get the job done.

I have personally know this company for 10 years. It is one of the best family owned businesses I have seen. Very honest. Great owners. And very competitive with their pricing. If you dont believe me just call them for hourly rate and then call their competitors. They also make their appointment times unlike most other companies. Keep up the Great work!!!

Im looking elsewhere. I have used FL Lifts for about 14 years to service a handicap lift in Key West. A part has supposedly been on back order since January, its now July. Ive called several times and was always told its arriving tomorrow and we will be down next week to install. Never any followup and now I received a $575 maintenance agreement that basically mean nothing. I do not recommend this company.

We have a home on Big Pine Key in the Florida Keys and recently took a direct hit from Hurricane Irma. Our home sustained some damage during the storm but our elevator from Florida Lifts stands in perfection. We are truly amazed . We have no electric, water or sewer system currently, so nothing is working. But, the fact that this elevator was constructed and installed so.well that it withstood a Catagory 4 Hurricane deserves high praise.Thank you Florida Lifts. Your company is tops and Corys service is always excellent.Julianne Parker

I cannot tell you how thrilled we are with the Stairlift. The unit is sturdy, quiet and handsome. It took some training to get a 93 year old to learn how to use it, but they both he and his 88 year old wife are doing great with it and are thankful that they have the Stairlift. I cannot see that they could stay in their 2 level condo without it.Thank you, Kyle, for following through with the expert installation.

We would like to commend the men who worked to remove our old lift and install the new one. They were meticulous and methodical in their work. The chap who dismantled and removed the old lift worked patiently and carefully and alone. He was especially concerned keeping noise to a minimum, and left no residue or mess,. He was also very considerate of the residents who were occasionally around. The installers of the new lift were also personable and friendly , while concentrating on their work, They methodically set up their work table with the needed tools and avoided any confusion around the area.I would highly recommend Florida Lifts for their professionalism and competence.A lift is by no means a small investment but we have been a satisfied customer of Florida lifts for 13+ years and this is the second time we have had them install a lift for us .We highly recommend your product and services!Vernette WheelerPresident of Andover L Condo AssociationWest Palm Beach Florida

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are a ripoff! They came out for 3 minutes to see thay my door belt is ripped and when they wanted to come out and install the part they wanted to charge for another service call. So basically they wanted to charge for 2 hours of labor for a 15 minute job (total). This isnt my first rodeo with them. They are rude and unprofessional. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

PLEASE BEWARE FLORIDA LIFTS IS NOT WHO YOU WANT TO DO ANY BUSINESS WITH, THEY WILL MISDIAGNOSE YOUR PROBLEM, TAKE YOUR MONEY, THEN NO RETURN CALL, WILL NOT MAKE GOOD ON THE FAULTY REPAIR OR ACT LIKE A REAL COMPANY AND HAVE THE OWNER CALL BACK, EXCUSE AFTER EXCUSE. TO BAD I HAD TO GIVE A CHECK SO AT THIS POINT THEY HAVE MY MONEY BUT, I WILL HIRE A LAWYER AND SEE WHAT WE CAN DO. ONCE AGAIN PLEASE IF YOU WANT A REPUTABLE COMPANY DONT CALL THEM, AS THEY WILL ONLY HANG UP ON YOU. PLEASE ALSO NOT THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS AND 10 CALLS THAT WERE NEVER RETURNED, SO THIS IS NOT SOME SPUR OF THE MOMENT RANDOM COMPLAINT.
