Had been going to the original in Boca since the early 80s. Toms daughter opened this restaurant in the Boynton mall.I had the rib special, a half pound of St Louis ribs with 2 sides, I got cole slaw and baked beans. The ribs were very tasty and meaty for $10, a great deal..My wife ordered the roasted chicken which was dry and tasteless.

Weve eaten many times during late 1980s and 1990s at Toms Place when it was located on Federal Hway, Boca Raton. The original owners daughter has opened her restaurant named after her Dad with her parents recipes in a new location at the Boynton Beach Mall on the east side of the mall with her own entrance from outside. The restaurant is clearly marked on the building across from the movie theater.We were three for lunch. Our son enjoyed his meat loaf sandwich. A huge one inch thick slice with steak fries. I tasted the meatloaf. Delicious.My husband and I both enjoyed a combo of pulled pork and a half rack of baby back ribs with 2 sides each serving of collard greens, black eyed peas, potato salad and baked beans. All four sides were very good. Baked beans are sweet but not dominating. The other sides were also outstanding. A vegetarian could just eat the sides and get great taste experiences. The pulled pork was very flavorful and the ribs were good too. Service was very attentive. Prices are reasonable for the huge servings. Go there for a late lunch and you wont have to eat again later that day. Cant wait to go back.So happy Boynton Beach now has three BBQ restaurants to choose from. All are recommended depending on taste and cost.

I go with my wife to this great restaurant many times a year! This is my favorite spot to pass a nice evening. I go there many times. The food is very good, the staff members are polite and the prices are affordable. I enjoy going in this place for a rich supper.

I adore this restaurant! They prepare decent meals, their menu is nice, The chief cook in that restaurant is a specialist, I enjoy very much eating all their food. The food is always of high qualtity, the service towards the clients is agreeable. I visit often this place and I was never unhappy. I recommend it to all my friends.

We arrived at this spot for a meeting. This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was very successful. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we had a fantastic feeling. The food was just great. We loved this place very much and we will visit this place again. Warmly recommended.

I loved this place from its humble beginnings in the 1970s. Glad to see it back and as good as ever..Today it opened 10 minutes late for some reason, but the delicious chicken and ribs soon made up for it.The side if fried okra was the only negative as it had too much batter.Service was friendly and responsive while prices very reasonable.

Food was quite good and the sides were very enjoyable. My only complaint is everything being served on hot plates. I had a sandwich that was rather difficult to eat since I literally could not touch the plate. It is good to see this space in the mall filled and I hope Toms makes it. I will definitely be back again.

The last time I was at the Boynton Beach Mall I went to Toms Place BBQ.The food was good, the people were friendly the place was clean and it did not take long waiting on my food. You might say the place was out of this world. If you are ever at the Mall in Boynton Beach stop by you will be glad you did.

We were so looking forward to giving them a try. Sat there for 15 mins without even a “Hello, I’ll be with you in a minute”. The table next to us left after they had been sitting there for close to 45 minutes without getting their food. The other table in our room said they had to request a new server after they couldn’t get it right after three tries. They had been there for over an hour and were just getting their food.Really wanted to give them a try but until they figure out how to provide decent service, I won’t be back. I know their food is awesome, but if they don’t improve the service aspect, they won’t make it.

Good ribs, but not ready for prime time.The ribs are definitely the star of the show here, because there isnt much else to write home about. The restaurant ran out of cornbread, coleslaw and a few other items. No one knows how to answer a phone so they leave it off the hook, so there is a constant busy signal.Service is slow and the decor looks like something straight out of the 1990s. They couldnt even get their door to work, so you had to enter through the mall.We would go again if they got their act together, but you cannot simply live off your laurels. You could go to Mississippi Sweets and get ribs and chicken just about as good with better service and management that runs a smooth ship.

Truly great barbecue beef with generous portion. Loved my sides of collard greens and Cole slaw. Please do not tell wife I snuck order of fried okra as she thinks I eat too much.

My wife and I had a great lunch today at Texas Road House. That was not the plan but because of no one to seat us at Toms we left.We arrived at Toms around 230 in the afternoon and stood at the counter for approximately 6 minutes and no one came to seat us. The young lady behind the bar was busy on her computer screen. We asked a couple who were seated if they had be waited on and their reply was that they were waiting on drinks and it was taking a long time. So we left and gave Road House the business.I was really looking forward to Toms. I went to their Boca location back in the 90s and another location on Palm Beach Lakes.

The service was horrible. My wife was craving for cobbler. They were out. I ordered plater with beef. 20 minutes later I was told no more beef. After going back and forth they agreed to give me pork chop instead. I dont know if that was on purpose or how they prepare pork chop, but it wasnt edable. The side dishes were very plane. Ribs were good, this why I gave 2 stars.

A staple in palm beach. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years. My son wont eat ribs from any place else. We love Toms bbq ❤

Great ,just like the good old days.The ribs ,beans ,potato salad and corn muffins were great. Wanted to go today,but theyre closed on Monday and Tuesday. Guess Ill have to wait til Wednesday. 👍 😁

Yum, half rib with chicken breast and wing is to much food to eat at one sitting. Im looking forward to leftovers. Very good food and excellent service.

Went on opening day... it was a little chaotic, but the food was good. I think it will only get better and Im so glad Toms is back and in Boynton Beach. Check out some of their weekend specials!

Food was ok. Not like the original place. In 7 separate dining areas. No Vib to the place. Service is poor. Too quiet. Will not survive.

Their barbecued chicken, ribs & sauce is amazing!!We love their sides, too!! The baked beans, collard greens, coleslaw & cornbread muffins are yummy!!We highly recommend!!

At the moment you come to this restaurant the personel give you an agreeable feeling. Very warm team, it is a good restaurant to hang out with buddies or with your date. Great meals, qualified chef de cuisine, honest price and attentive service. Highly recommended.

So glad Toms is back. Weve been enjoying Toms since his very first & very small place on Dixie Hwy, in Boca. Then followed to the larger one at Dixie & Glades, then North Boca, West Palm & East Boynton. Now here at Boynton Mall.We had the BBQ chicken, which has always been my favorite, & oh boy was it good.Everything just as I remembered.

Food was great but this place dead on a Saturday night. They have a signing closing this location. Sad.

Recommended this place in the old days. The food was terrible...ribs were Jewy, bbq sauce seems to be the same generic sauce for everything. Not sure what they call potato salad...nasty. Suggest you go anyplace but Tom’s.

Love the food and the taste . But the ribs need to be i little more tender. They need more waiters abt they need to be i little bit more organized so we can avoid waiting for long periods of time .thk if they do this the restaurant is I heat because the flavor are amazing 😉 .

Went there yesterday, the food was good but the service is terrible. Wait staff needs serious training and the bathroom was broken. I hope they get there service together in order to succeed

Located on the side of a JC Penney in an older tired mall..The food was fabulous authentic Southern Barbeque served very slow in an outdated environment.

Tonight 6 of us came up to Boynton from Boca Raton so excited to be going to Tom’s, just like we used to many years ago when they were located in Boca. The ribs were every bit as delicious and meaty and tasty as we remembered. I had St. Louis, collards and baked beans, so delicious! Everyone else’s ribs and sides were great, rice and gravy, corn, coleslaw, fries, and delicious fresh baked corn muffins. The service was great, really glad that Tom’s is back!!

Went about a month ago..loved tom ribs in the past but this place is not the same..first off the way the waitstaff dresses is not appetizing at all bicycle shorts and tight tanks top..all expose armpits out n stuff oh no no no ! Chicken was not great publix makes better chicken sides were good but just missing on service and food.sadly disappointed..

Thought this would be good but I was very disappointed in the sliced beef. No flavor wasnt even smoked but I was told it was; however, the collard greens, black eye peas and corn muffin was really good.
