My clothes were there for a month and all I needed were simple alterations on 4 pieces. I had tried calling numerous times to check on the status of my clothes but no one ever answered the phone and there was no option to leave a voicemail. I decided to go by the shop in hopes of someone being there. I got lucky. She was there but my clothes had not even been touched. I was just glad to get my clothes back although no one had even started on my alterations. That aside, Im mostly disappointed with the lack of communication.

I had been to Imogene’s before, when it was just her. Definitely super sweet and very kind, also cheap! But, despite my previous experience, I unfortunately chose to go to her again when I needed a prom dress hemmed. I had brought it to her on a Wednesday afternoon, and needed it done by Sunday at 4. I understand that this would be a rush job, which would come at an extra expense, but never did I think it was going to be $80 for less than an inch off! On my first trip, it was $20 for a simple hem, not $80. On Friday, I had arrived with around $40 in cash, and was rudely laughed at by another employee (not Imogene) when I was told it would be more expensive. I was embarrassed in having to return home to fetch more money, and once I returned she was closed and everyone had left! I told her it would take me around 30 minutes to get home and come back, and I had even arrived earlier than expected. Imogene called me the next day and told me that she would be in for a couple hours and I rushed to get there. I paid her what she asked and left an unhappy customer. Definitely not going back again.

AVOID! Extremely disappointed. Dropped my dress off for a simple hem and was assured that it would be ready for pickup this morning at 9am. When I arrived, there was a hand written sign on the door indicating that they were closed and she did not know when she’d be back. I called multiple times with no answer. No voice mail box. I had to leave town without it. When she finally did call, she informed me that it would cost $55 for a simple hem. When I asked why so expensive, she told me it was a “rush job”. She never indicated that it was a rush or that I would incur an extra charge to have it ready in my timeframe. I am appalled by the lack of professionalism. I will pay and leave an unhappy customer. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs!

Great service! Called at the last minute to get an eye hook put in the front of a wrap dress. Everyone else I called said no but Imogene said come on and bring it now. Very friendly and did a great job:) reasonable pricing- only cash or check...no credit cards FYI. Ill definitely be going back.

I usually use Mickies Alterations and have always had good results. However, when Mickies couldnt have my bridesmaids dress hemmed in time, so I went to Imogenes. When I went to pick up my dress, it was $50 which I thought was steep to just hem the dress, but whatever. At the wedding, the hem came completely undone and was frazzled before the pictures were even taken. On closer inspection, I noticed the bottom was only turned over once, and poorly at that. I spent the whole evening stressing out over the nasty hem, and was constantly cutting strings off. When I got back in town, I went to Imogenes and the woman was RUDE! She basically called me a liar when I told her this was before the wedding even took place. If it had happened after a night of dancing, I would have been much more understanding, and I told her that. She first offered to fix the hem, but hello, the wedding was already over, too late! Then she offered to refund half the amount, which is also unacceptable. She ruined a $270 bridesmaid dress that was supposed to be professionally altered. After begrudgingly refunding me my money, she told me she wouldnt be able to do any more alterations for me in the future. NOT A PROBLEM! I sew and usually do my own things but for such an expensive dress I wanted it professionally done. Some of the worst customer service Ive experienced, on top of a terrible product.

I will NEVER take anything back here. I dropped off a one piece out fit that I needed to wear to an event. When I went to drop it off, she didnt even listen to what I was saying, Never measured anything!! I thought, Wow, they must be really good! No! I had to send someone to pick it up for me as I was working when it was ready. When I got home and tried it on....Tears filled my eyes!!! I was wearing it the next night, and it was just horrible. She had put some huge thick elastic on both sides of the zipper that only stretched up and down, not side to side. It was so heavy and bulky!!! I worked on taking it all out and re-doing it myself, with no sewing machine. After 5 hours, I had it where I could wear it. Do NOT Go here!

Took some pants in to be made into shorts. I did the same thing last summer and she did a great job on them. This time, she totally screwed them up. I said 4 inches beneath cargo pocket. 2 pair were not even 2 inches after the new hem and the other pair were correct length, but very poorly sewn. I took them to another place 2 blocks over and they are fixing her screw up.I wont be going back to Imogenes. I have been going there for years.

Terrible job, I needed my prom dress Shortened, When I told her it didn’t look any shorter she assured me it was she just didn’t charge me. I had to take 6 inches off myself the day before prom & I needed the top fixed, she completely ruined it, the beads have fell off since. She had it for two months and I got it back in worse condition then to begin with

They did great on my uniform, my only complaint is communication and trying to get there when someone was in the building.

I wish I would have done a little more research before taking my wedding dress to Imogenes, I picked it up today and left in tears. Ramona with Imogenes had my dress for nearly 6 weeks and called me early this morning with questions on what exactly I wanted done (after having it for 6 weeks she called today, and my wedding is 9 days away). The alterations were fairly simple, I went and saw her after the phone call and then picked my dress up a few hours later. My dress looked like theyd been carrying it around in the trunk of a car for 6 weeks and there was purple marker ALL over my dress. When we inquired about the maker she responded with, its fabric marker it will come right off with water. I left her shop and immediately went to my dry cleaners...I am beyond disappointed with this place. Horrible service, no apologies or offer to make it right from Ramona.... Im now getting married in 9 days and can only say a prayer that my dress will come back from the cleaners in good enough shape for me to wear it.
