I am a general contractor and have used many engineers. Cliff is quick! For any thing I have needed he has helped me out in less than 2 weeks sometimes even quicker!! Unbelievable I usually had to wait 4-6 weeks to get something approved!

As a General Contractor for residential and Commercial projects I depend on my engineers to deliver top notch drawings and equations to fulfill City and State ordinances. For years I have worked with Jason at WCA to keep the projects running smoothly. I have NEVER been disappointed ! Always available to answer questions and even meet me at jobsite when needed. I depend on them and that frees me up to keep the job moving smooth. Id recommend fully 100% you look to them for the same. Gary Wheeler/ Wheeler renovations Inc.

WCA Structural Engineering are professional, proactive and extremely qualified structural engineers, for any sized project. Jason has helped me on multiple designs, both with my own house designs as well as other projects. He and his coworkers are well versed in the building codes and work diligently to ensure their designs meet the codes while remaining cost efficient.

I originally contacted Travis because he was referred to me by a friend, and over the phone I explained to him that the inspection report for the house we were going to purchase mentioned some cracking in the bricks, and would he be able to take a look at some pictures of the cracking to let me know if there was cause for concern. I e-mailed him the pictures and never requested for Travis to come to the house, but Travis offered to come and look at it in person because he would be “in the area” and could “stop by.” On the day he came I was running late and told Travis as much over the phone, as I was driving down the street to the house Travis stopped me in his truck and told me everything looked fine. I asked if I could get something in writing and he said he would send me a stamped letter that day, Thursday 10/27/2016. The following Monday I received an e-mail where Travis first addressed me as Adam (which is not my name), and then apologized for forgetting to send me the letter when he said he would. I responded with an e-mail thanking him, and asking him how much I owed him, to which I did not receive a response back. This lead me to believe Travis felt what he had done did not warrant an expense and he was not going to charge me but was doing me a favor as a friend of a friend. I had no further correspondence with Travis, or WCA Structural Engineering Inc. until 10/05/2017 when Fiona sent me an e-mail indicating I had a past due invoice for $280.00 which needed to be paid immediately. When I called to inquire about the amount of the charge and dispute it, I was told I would receive a phone call from Travis. Instead I received a rude and threatening e-mail indicating the amount was fair, I was a year past due, and that I was somehow going to have to pay some undisclosed amount to an unknown entity for not following Travis’ recommendations. Fiona then indicated that she had sent me an invoice on 10/21/2016 which was 6 days prior to Travis even coming to my house, and 10 days prior to him e-mailing me the stamped letter. I received no such e-mail, and as I have mentioned previously I did not hear from WCA for almost a year. Not once did I ask Travis to come to my home, and we never discussed any expense for him to do so. I would suggest that in the future you be more upfront with people, and refrain from issuing threats of fees or mysterious payments. As a point of information I have filed a formal complaint with the Utah State Consumer Protection Agency through the State Attorney General’s Office for unfair business practices by WCA Structural Engineering Inc.
