I have been using the Cleaning Fairies on and off for quite a while, but we started using them regularly during the pandemic. We were home SO MUCH and the mess was just too much for me. I have been using the Cleaning Fairies for the past 9 years, on twice-per-month basis, so Id like to provide a review as a long-time customer. I have been very happy with their service; we have two dogs, two cats, and a young child, so our house usually looks like a tornado has come through by the time we are due for our next. When I come home from work after a cleaning day, the whole house is spotless! I am sensitive to strongly-scented cleaning supplies, so I am grateful for their use of eco-friendly, fragrance-free cleaners.I also appreciate their commitment to customer service: after every cleaning, the office sends an email to ask me if I was happy with the clean or not. I almost always am 100% happy with the cleaning, but on the rare occasion that I notice that the Fairies missed something, the office sends someone out the next day, at no additional charge, to address the issue. They also update the spec sheet for our house accordingly, so that our preferences are noted.Another factor I appreciate: They send the same team to my house each time. This approach has allowed the Fairies to get to know the idiosyncrasies of our house (which surely helps them be more time-efficient), plus I take comfort in knowing who is in my house while Im away at work. We have a dog who is uncomfortable with strangers, but now he knows these particular Fairies and they can let themselves in when Im not there.Finally, I think its worth noting that the Cleaning Fairies offer paid time off to their workers and bonuses for good work. Cleaning houses for a living is a seriously hard job, and it feels good to know that Im supporting a locally-owned (and woman-owned!) company that is doing right by its employees.

We had a cleaning fairy come out to do a move out cleaning at our house and she exceeded expectations! The company is responsive and easy to work with and they are somehow able to clean off a stovetop Ive tried to get clean for 3 years!:). Highly recommend!!

First I wanted to say that communication with Alexandra was great. Their customer service did not disappoint and if I could rate that service separately I would give her 5/5.The Cleaning Fairies fell short in every other aspect though. We did cap the amount of time they could be there to three hours since this is what other cleaning companies quoted us. What a mistake not going with our first cleaning company choice.We asked them to do a move out clean in our 500 sq. ft. home and to focus on the bathroom and kitchen. They quoted us $45 per hour for two people to clean in that three hour period. However, when we inspected the house (focusing on the kitchen/bathroom) we noticed they didnt even bother to clean on top of selves or other surfaces in those two rooms. Total these two rooms add up to maybe 100 square feet of the house. Two people, three hours, in 100 square feet does not add up to the quality of a clean we got.My husband and I couldve spent three hours and cleaned the entire house to a better standard than what we got paying $135 to the Cleaning Fairies to do two rooms. We were required to hire a cleaning company by our landlord, but because of the sub-par cleaning we were not given our full deposit AND ate the cost of the cleaning. The Cleaning Fairies were willing to re-clean the two rooms they had guaranteed, and the rest of the house at a reduced rate, but this solution did not work for us because we had already moved out. The Cleaning Fairies were unwilling to offer an alternate solution.If you decide to hire the cleaning fairies be prepared to pay a substantial money for something you could probably do better yourself.

I love the Fairies! I am surprised by the one star reviews. Kristol, the fairy assigned to my house, does a good & comprehensive cleaning job and has for over a year. She is also very kind and friendly. Molly is also fantastic - I love the automated billing, the reminder emails, and the very friendly approach. Also, the Fairies did one move-out cleaning for me - I forget the name of the guy who did it, but he did an extremely thorough job - I was 100% satisfied. I dont really understand the difference between my experience and the experience of others- all I can say is that my experience has been awesome and I recommend The Cleaning Fairies when I have the opportunity to do so.

The cleaning fairies were extremely responsive and prompt. I arranged to have a home my daughter was moving into cleaned after the previous roommates moved out and left a pigstye. Tina and Raeven did an exceptional job in cleaning a house where an eviction had just occurred, especially cleaning two bathtubs and shower enclosures which I thought were a lost cause. In addition to their superb work, they were always polite and friendly. I cant get any better!

I have been a residential and commercial contractor since 1995. In that time I have used many cleaning companies. I can tell you for sure there is a big difference between cleaners in the construction cleaner field. Some are house cleaners that think cleaning is cleaning, then there are real cleaners who know their business. The Cleaning Fairies are a step above those guys, no shitting. They are rocket fast and extremely thorough. If you are lucky enough to get on their schedule, dont blink, reserve them.

I guess I win the OF Award for the longest service time with Molly and the Cleaning Fairies.Im sure that in the 20 + years with Fairies there some disappointments, but I cant remember any worth commenting about. I always left the house when they were working. I enjoyed the feeling of coming back to a freshly cleaned home. Ive moved on and will miss the quality of the people that took care of my home during those years. They get 4 stars until they can move without touching the ground.

Ive never spoke to someone as unprofessional as Molly. How she charged 13 hours to clean a tiny house makes me feel this is a scam. There is still dog hair on the floor, cabinets were not wiped out, trash left behind and they didnt even mop the floors. When we called to talk to Molly she was condescending and would not come out to see how bad the house was cleaned. I would NOT use this. Call Handy instead!!!

Truly shocking! I am not a perfectionist, but what I came home to yesterday really made my eyes pop! Smears, streaks, untouched surfaces throughout our small house. And this after forward a detailed list I provided after the first clean, which was less than satisfactory.Disappointing, unprofessional, and not at all a time saver. Everything they did needs to be re-done and re-cleaned, and I have already spent WAY too much time attempting to communicate with them.How does a sorry service like this stay in business?

I gave them 1 star because they did show up. However, not too sure what they did do for 3 hrs but it certainly wasnt cleaning as the place looked terrible. Weve used Cleaning fairies a few times before. Unfortunately, this time they did a very poor job and the place was filthy. The glass door was disgusting, and that was the highlight. They did clean the bathrooms (peripherally). We have pictures to show but didnt want to start posting too much. You might want to think twice before hiring these folks.

Terrible service. We scheduled a cleaning for 10am on thursday. They told us they would call us if they couldnt find the place. An hour later nobody was here. We called and nobody would pick up. On the third time we called they finally picked up and they were just like oh shes leaving right now. No apologies or anything by the company nor the lady when she came. We then left because we had things to do and when we came back the place looked the same. We got charged $40 an hour for the work and she worked 2 hours. This is literally impossible because nothing was done. She also left the trashbags open in the livingroom and our dog got into them and is now very sick. Terrible service.

I still had to prepare lunch and shave before an event I had at 4pm...They left and didnt come back at our scheduled time.When I called about it they made excuses but not once apologized for not showing back up..which would have been sufficient for me. They were defensive about the whole situation. As a business owner myself, this is unacceptable(and the reason a quick apology would have gone a long way as I know how it is sometimes)The cleaning over the past few visits has also been lackluster. Was much better when we first started with them a few years ago but seems to have declined greatly along with their customer service***Just received an email saying we should have been charged for lockout fee.I was told by my team that Drew(me) told them to leave and when they discussed the possibility of coming back he said that day wasnt good at all This is a blatant lie. I said Im nowhere near ready for you, the time was 330(it was 1:30) can you come back then The younger girl said shed speak to other lady and when I walked back outside they were gone.Shady all over the place. Dont recommend them.

If I could give The Cleaning Fairies negative stars I would. Before sending the cleaners over, Molly came to my house and walked through with me to make a list of what needed to be done. After several hours, the girls they sent over did not complete a single item on the list. They were also unprofessional, texting and taking several smoke breaks while they were there on the clock. The moment they left I called Molly to tell her that nothing on the list she had created was done, and invited her to come back and see for herself. She sent her assistant, who agreed that the place looked as if nobody had been there to clean at all. I told Molly that I would not pay for the job, as it was completely unsatisfactory, and I would still need to hire somebody else to come do it. Despite their 100% satisfaction guarantee, Molly threatened me with legal action when I told her i would not pay for the work.In the owner Mollys final e-mail to me she says, in all capital letters, I HAD A BAD FEELING THAT YOU MAY HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET SEVERAL MORE FREE CLEANING HOURS, I WAS RIGHT. and concluded, I fail to understand how you can feel morally sound in manipulating Fairies into doing so much more than the scope of work. I take responsibility for not following my gut and walking away after the first batch of bogus complaints when you had asked my staff to change the scope of work.I had no ulterior motive. The Faries did not do what they were hired to do. For the cleaners who did what the Cleaning Fairies couldnt, I was happy to pay in full and even hired the other company to come back the following week. If my goal had been to cheat a cleaning service for free hours I would not have taken the time to write this review.I appreciate the effort of the folks in the cleaning fairies office who did their best to make things right. But Molly should know that being rude to clients or flat out ignoring them is an unacceptable way to manage your business, and if she piles up a few more reviews like this, she wont be in business for much longer. Hopefully shell know better than to shout just hang up on him! while her employees are on the phone with their customers.Finally, Id encourage anybody that is considering hiring the cleaning fairies to read their reviews on yelp, and be sure to click the link that says 20 other reviews that are not currently recommended. They have so many scathing reviews that Yelp thinks they may be fraudulent or something. Do yourself a favor and stay far far away from the cleaning fairies.
