Terrible customer service, won’t enforce mask mandates, allows college kids to just be gross. Tried to cancel my membership after they restarted it without my permission (and without any notification, just happened to see the charges on my credit card, three months of stealing my money later). When I asked to see the supposed document they said I signed (which I didn’t) they ignore me. Called to speak with a manager, told they are in a meeting and will call me back. Still waiting three days later. Don’t go here folks, it’s a trap!!!UPDATE: Week later I get a completely childish reply to my review, that clearly didn’t respond to any of my concerns. Still waiting to hear from an adult so I can cancel.

This CRUNCH location is by far the best location I have been to! It’s always clean, staff is always friendly and fired up! The best thing about CRUNCH is their cancellation policy. I received the BEST customer service from Chelsea who was beyond helpful in canceling my membership. I moved out of the area and sadly I don’t live near another CRUNCH. I’m so sad to leave this awesome gym. But thank you Chelsea for making the move a lot easier. 10/10 recommend signing up!

After many month of trying to cancel my membership, I am at my wits end. As my final attempt, I have written a handwritten letter to send through snail mail in hopes of a successful outcome. After my last conversation I am now being charged three times the amount of my previously scheduled payments. I am hopeful that this does not escalate to my next recourse of small claims.

Worst cancellation policy in the world. I moved away and have to mail you a letter?! What year is this? Get with the program and let me do it online or at least over the phone. The gym is not equipped for hundreds of customers they accept. For example, there are only 3 low pull machines, only 3! for the whole gym.It gets crowded in the morning (5 am)(yes, i thought it would be empty, thats visited too) and it gets way more crowded during the day and especially, in the evenings. The men changing room smells like a dumpster, I assume they dont clean it everyday. Everyday, i doubted myself if i wanted to shower there.I was visiting Boulder for 1 month, but due to their predatory cancellation policies they charged me for 3 months (June/july/August) + annual fee.I suggest to be honest with your customers, if you wanted to charge me nearly hundred dollar for 1 month, you should have said so in the beginning. i would have gone to a premium gym for this price.i dont recommend this gym.(Person responding to this reviews basically proves my point. We are customers, not your subordinates, try to solve our problem, please)

The employee responding to the other reviews is lying. The responses say things like “no contracts” and “all you have to do cancel is stop by”. You cannot cancel without Dylan, the training manager. They will do things like require paper forms and “just happen to not have them printed”. They will avoid your calls. Facility looks nice. Staff are nice. Trainers are good. Unfortunately, they when you’re done with them, they’re done with you and will make you fight for weeks to get their hand out of your wallet. They will find a way to keep billing no matter how hard you try to get them to stop.

Dont get a membership here if you ever plan on cancelling it. They will do everything in their power to make it impossible for you to cancel and keep charging you the whole way along. I have been trying to cancel my membership for months and they wont do it for me. Over the phone they tell me they cant help and that I have to email the manager, and then the manager is unresponsive via email. I am unable to come in person since I dont live in Colorado anymore and they take advantage of that with their predatory practices. Stay away.UPDATE:The immaturity of your response to my original review is sadly no surprise at all. Instead of offering to help me, you told that I was lying by saying I think you really do know that we have a very simple cancellation policy and procedure. I am clearly not the only one having these issues with you based on many other reviews.Yet, here I am still with an active membership and nobody willing to help me cancel it. Ive called and sent multiple emails to multiple managers (new and old) and nobody has responded to me. How about instead of calling me a liar you have the manager email me back?

Crunch is a low price gym. It’s not going to be perfect. Personally, the biggest issue I have with Crunch is the hygiene of locker rooms. Horrible smell/stench EVERYDAY, and if I had to guess, they clean locker rooms once a week… When it should be done multiple times per day. In addition to that, showers always have hair or clogging issues, so I avoid them (Bro, please at least mop your floors, it’s nasty in there.)Pretty busy because of the low cost and high number of members. Demographic: 20-30 year olds generally.

Can’t except more. Decent gym equipment, never seen anything dirty or paper towels on the floor etc. sometimes it’s busy but all the gym’s are the same way. I love the tanning and red light therapy options. Better than this, will cost you 3 or 4 times more per month.

This gym will only allow you to cancel your membership by signing a list in-person at the gym. To add insult to injury they insist on charging you for an additional 30 days after you cancel siting their “cancelation policy.” I am so frustrated by my experience with this gym, and I hope the owner reconsiders their predatory cancelation policy. The gym is large and has plenty of equipment for use. Parking was very difficult when I went in to pick up a key tag.will say if you are a college student it may be the right fit for you. The demographic is primarily young college students. Unfortunately it was not for me. There were a lot of people in there when I went and I just wasn’t comfortable. But to each their own.I was glad to speak with the manager Cassie, who respected my wish to cancel within the 3 days per CRS code 6-1-704.Again, if you are a college student who doesn’t mind being around a lot of people this may be a good fit for you, although it wasn’t for me.

PROS:Great value for the price! I generally have great workouts here. Theres lots of clean, modern equipment for both cardio and strength training, with more squat racks and deadlift/Olympic lifting platforms than almost anywhere Ive ever lifted. The best part about Crunch is probably that most of the other gym members are respectful, they tend to clean up after themselves, rerack most of their weights and dont take up equipment theyre not using. This is a happy departure from many other gyms where bros swing dumbbells around in the squat racks, screaming like children and dont put anything away when they leave.Additionally, Crunch has great child care hours and theres no limit to how often you can bring a free guest. I was a free guest for nearly 2 months before joining myself.CONS:There are only 3 flat benches and theres almost always a wait, even when the rest of the gym isnt very busy. Also, if I could go back in time and remove my number and email from their marketing lists, Id be SO happy. Theyre pretty spammy, they dont reply to emails asking them to stop, and they keep calling every few weeks to offer personal training even though Ive asked multiple times that they stop. Youve been warned.ABOUT hidden fees: Theyre not Hidden! The fees are in the fine print, sure, but they explain them to you when you sign up for a membership. It seems a lot of people giving negative reviews complaining about hidden fees just werent paying attention. If you want to know more about their fees, check your paperwork or ask a manager - I received several different, incorrect answers from the front desk.I cant attest to their cancellation policy since I havent tried to cancel, but Ill update this review if I have trouble when I do, someday.

When I brought it to their managers attention she was extremely rude and said there’s not much she could do. I have been coming to this gym since August with my brother because we have enjoyed the amenities they offer and the various machines. While we have seen how the regulations have changed and how Crunch Boulder has responded to each of them (mask wearing full time, line out the door, etc), today we felt extremely frustrated with the lack of communication from management to their members.Throughout the past few months whenever there were new regulations, it seems as though there has been a lack of communication. When the state guidelines specified that only 10% of capacity was allowed, I called and was told that it would be 40 people. When I asked in person the next day, I was told 10% would be 70 people. (700 people would be full capacity-- seems a bit high) A few days ago when we went in the morning they said that now only 30 people are allowed in the entire gym at a time and it was first come first serve. Today we decided to go very early in hopes of getting into the weight room, and were told that we needed a reservation-- when yesterday we were told that we could not make reservations. Not once has Crunch communicated this with their members. I think at least an email or a post on social media would have been helpful. On top of all this-- on their social media pages they are still attempting to recruit new members at a special discounted price. How is this fair to current members who cant even get in to work out? The people at the front are very nice and we understand this is not their fault-- this is from management. There needs to be significantly more communication to avoid this frustration.Im not one to leave negative reviews, but I feel as though complaining to the front desk is useless because once again, it is not their fault at all and they only have to deal with angry customers. I will add that I am not the only person that feels this way.

There’s one water fountain and it’s only for water bottles. Its unbelievable how poorly this company adapted to COVID-19, All the sanitizer stations are constantly empty. Here’s an important piece of information that NONE of the staff will tell you: After 2 months of you will be charged $60 for a BS annual processing fee. And it takes 30 days to cancel your membership, so you have to cancel on the 1st of the month IN PERSON - signature required. Overall, pretty decent. Greatest concern is face mask compliance. *Most* people do wear masks, but there are a great many who will wear it below the nose or more like a chin strap, and there is not any enforcement by staff. They claim to do regular compliance checks, but often the staff just looks the other way when walking past someone not wearing a mask...even as they breathe heavy on a treadmill, for example. Really only an issue because of how crammed it gets in there, as expected given the price point. Otherwise equipment is newish, sometimes broken, but fixed pretty quickly. Intend to stay a member as long as County Health dept. allows them to stay open.

I joined Crunch with the $1 sign up fee and free first month. I went early (6am). Their music was quite loud, and not music I enjoy listening to. So, even with ear buds to hear my own music, it was drowned out so I couldnt enjoy it. Also, I found that the treadmills do not have their own TVs. There is a row of TVs hung from the ceiling in front of the equipment. During the winter, I do a lot of treadmill running, and I enjoy watching my programs. They said that the staff had to change the channel for you of any of the multiple TVs, and I tend to bounce between different programs any time there is a commercial, so that wouldnt really work at all for me. If those two things arent important to you, you may like it. The club itself was clealn, lots of machines and a special room for classes. It just didnt meet my requirements in a health club, so I went ahead and cancelled my membership, only to find out that I was charged an extra month since there is a required 30 day notice. So even though there was one month free and a $1 sign up fee, I was still billed $31.25. Needless to say, Im not happy. I feel like that was a bait and switch.

Well that’s pretty much the last I’ve heard from anyone... I went by the gym, handed them my paperwork, and they sent me on my way. IE scammers by saying you pay this much, but do not tell you that you’ll be paying a large amount later. It’s only in writing in there 24 page long agreement and trust me, they are NOT willing to help you on it. Through and through this gym is corporate, they are only in it for themselves making money and does not care about their clientele. They would rather come up to you complaining about your mask falling midway day during an exercise than come up to you telling you you’re doing a good job. Their “trainers” are NOT certified while training clients, but claiming they are. It’s not required in the state of Colorado to be, but claiming your trainers are is false marketing.

At Crunch, for 1/4 the cost, I get better equipment, more knowledgeable trainers, and a gym that is actually well thought out for athletes and bodybuilding. Crunch has cutting-edge equipment (glute busters!) alongside the classics (bench, squat, whatever floats ur boat). At 24-hour, I felt like the gym was designed by a flabby businessman trying to sell memberships and squeeze every last cent out of the community.
