We relied on Dr Rabin the past 3 years from 10th grade to Senior year on course selection, college selection, and most importantly college applications. Dr Rabin is extremely knowledgeable in college consulting and guided my daughter through the ups and downs, particularly the fast changed landscape during the pandemic to applying to colleges this past year. As a parent, I also benefited from Dr Rabins coaching and newsletters covering many relevant topics to allow me to guide my daughter and make sound decisions. As a junior coming into the college application process, I had no clue what the next year of my life would entail. Luckily, my parents decided to hire Bonnie to help me through the process, seeing as she had helped my brother so much during his application process. As a graduating senior, I can clearly say that Bonnie was vital to my success. I was accepted into 8/9 colleges that I applied to and offered scholarships from schools including NYU, Barnard College, Vassar, and the University of Miami. My academics are strong, but without Bonnies advising and help, I would not have known where to start and I certainly would not have seen as many acceptances as I did. Bonnies expertise and insight prepared me and my applicant profile in ways I could never think of, even as the second child in my family applying to college. When it came to the college application process I knew I would struggle with essays, but Bonnie and her team made that process so much easier. Bonnie helped me brainstorm ideas and helped me realize what I wanted to study. She helped me get out of my shell and write more specifically and made me prepared for interviews. Dr. Rabins guidance throughout the college admissions processes was unparalleled. Without her guidance my experience with applying to college would have been stressful and confusing. We hired Bonnie when my older daughter had just finished freshman in High School and also later when my son finished Middle School. They were both good students with excellent grades. Still, my husband and I had just been transferred to the US and we were not familiar with the College Application process at all. We found Bonnie to be an excellent advisor, not only to understand the process tasks per se, but more specially to prepare our kids path to college. She helped them choose the High School classes every year; she advised on what extra activities, summer classes/camps, etc., they should take to make their applications complete, relevant and competitive. She monitored their progress thru the years. She ran the extra mile more than once and helped them find the right summer experience, based on their interests and our budget. She helped them set the goals and timing for the tests they needed to take as part of their applications; she explained the financial aid process and gave insights on additional topics related to the universities they were interested in. Once in Senior, she has helped them plan the application tasks in detail, from the essays, to the online application(s), etc. My daughter is now in Emory University and my son just got accepted in Carnegie Mellon. Bonnie’s assistance has been direct and personalized, and overall has made the difference in our kid’s readiness to apply to the best universities.
