Seating about 400 (200 when Covid protocols are in effect), its a marvelous theater for digital projection and 35mm film. The sound system is excellent. Its the home of the CU International Film Series, now celebrating its 80th year. Classic films are often screened with the director or another expert or critic to speak or do Q&A. Some films are shown for free but most have a modest fee with discounts for students, seniors and series purchasers. Parking is nearby for a fee, slightly further is free on-street parking after 7pm, but the University traffic plan can make it hard to get to lot 360, the closest lot.
Very dark and unaltered. Good luck if you have a class down there.
Really like the space inside for viewing films. Signage is missing/very poor to locate it. Parking is difficult and very unclear. Had to walk a long way not long after I had surgery. GPS route said to go the wrong way on a one way street. Hate getting around on campus every time I go so I avoid it unless it is something very compelling. Wish they would correct it.
Nice auditorium/classroom. The angle is pretty steep from the top to the bottom
Beautiful auditorium. Great place to see concerts. Parking can get a little crazy.
Excellent projectors, and the film series has excellent picks.
