In Washington state you are not required to have ever worked in construction to sit for the state licensure to be a contractor. By his own admission, owner John Grigus never worked construction a day in his life; he had a business degree. That explained why he never understood, nor retained, what we talked about. His subs were excellent but his own crew was pathetic.
