Alex was very responsive when I first reached out and we quickly set up a time for a consultation on a tree pruning job as we had many tree branches hitting the house. It was clear that he is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. He provided us different options, laying out the positives and negatives of each, never pressuring us towards one. When it came time to do the job itself, it was done with great care and efficiency; we are thrilled with the end result. When it comes time to trim again down the road, or if any other needs arise, I will definitely be contacting Alex first.

Alex and his team did a wonderful and skilled job taking down a very tall tree in a difficult location between two closely spaced houses. He also worked diligently to protect the underlying ground cover, flowers, fence and hedge. We have asked him to assist us with another trimming and pruning project.

Essential Tree Service is literally everything you would want a company to be when you hire someone to do any kind of work at your home. I have honestly been writing this review in my since Alex came by for the first consult! Throughout the entire process, Alex was extremely communicative about the work being done but also how I can expect the work to impact my plants/environment in the long term! The cost was extremely reasonable. Alex and Doug were on time, efficient and safe. I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome, and I absolutely will be a return customer for future projects!

Let me first just say that the tree that I needed to have taken down was in around 13 wires and bellied up to three properties. It is a tough job that I got 5 prices on. Alex was the most responsive, attentive and just all around knowledgeable. He came out the next day for an estimate and had us scheduled within the week. The job, which was huge took three days and was done perfectly. The attention to detail, the precision and the awareness of structure and property on my land bd my neighbors was the best I’ve ever seen. I cannot say enough great things about Alex and Essential Tree Services. If you are in Boston, have a tricky job or just need an estimate for a tree he is your guy. No crane, no big machinery. 10/10 stars.

They never returned my phone call. I called on a Saturday morning and the message said he would open at Noon and check messages every 2 hours. Not sure why I never got a call back.

Alex was highly recommended by our neighbors and actually exceeded our expectations. He checked in with us on every aspect of the work (which involved removing heavy limbs that were quite high and adjacent to utility wires) to make sure he did exactly what we wanted. He cleared away all of the debris afterwards and even offered to and did remove a large broken branch lying in another neighbor’s yard. His price for the work was more than reasonable.
