I had a very easy time dealing with my accident and towing. These guys were helpful and knowledgeable ans really assisted in getting the job done for me. Anthony at the front office was absolutely great and is a huge asset to the company

While driving on Route 9 in Brookline, Mass. on a Sunday afternoon my Nissan Frontier suddenly died. I coasted into road side parking where staying overnight would get me a stiff fine. Nearby towing services were either closed or could not help me until next week due to the post-pandemic labor shortage. D & G Towing came with a ramp truck and delivered my vehicle to a dealer for repair. Anthony was courteous, sympathetic to my plight and had good communication. My experience with D & G Towing was very good.

I had an awful experience with this place. Probably the worst experience of my life - Ive never written a bad google review before, so thats how you know. My car got towed on Tuesday morning during a street cleaning (and I was not alerted whatsoever, despite previously only getting ticketed). Ive been sick all week and had no knowledge my car was towed until I couldnt find it after looking for an hour today. I look it up online, and this company towed me. The guy I spoke to on the phone was rude as heck, would not listen to me for a minute and just shouted at me. They charged me 148 + (35X5) for 5 days, with a total bill coming to nearly $300 for something Im completely unaware of. I explain my circumstance and theres no understanding whatsoever, its like Im an old gum wrapper. Then when Im there, after paying the ridiculous fee, I have to wait for nearly an hour to actually get my car (in the hot sun despite letting them know Im on a medication that makes me hyper sensitive to sun) because apparently only the manager has a key to the gate which is freaking ridiculous. Most awful unprofessional company Ive ever experienced.I got towed again, and the second time, there was an underage kid working at the booth. So this place has confirmed illegal activity and should be investigated.

My car got towed, while I was there to pick it up got yelled and sworn at by an employee who then violently backed a car into the front of another car while getting my vehicle. Wish I had gotten the license plate because that car was definitely damaged.

It was very unfortunate to see that my car had been towed but interacting with the team in the office actually made my day! They kept the office open for me to get there since I was running late. They were all super friendly with good senses of humor. I hope to see them again, though preferably not because of towing xD

Final Edit:The repair was just a loose wire so they fixed it in about a half hour. I stand by my previous statement: sincere but careless and incompetentEdit:When they repaired my doors they damaged the electrical system so the side view camera, speakers, and window dont work and I need to get those repaired. I got what I paid for I guess. I didnt notice immediately because it was raining when I brought my car back so I didnt try the window, I dont use it to commute to work, and I mostly use the camera on highways.Avoid this place if you can. Sincerety aside, theyre incompetent.Original review:I got towed due to a street cleaning parking violation. Thats on me. My car got damaged during the tow at some point, so there were pretty big scratches along the side across 3 panels that went through to the metal so they needed to be repainted to avoid serious rusting.The guys offered to fix the dent and repaint at a steep discount. So steep that Im pretty sure they lost a bit of money on the repaint, since other body shops said itd cost triple what I paid to D&G. And D&G washed the whole exterior for free without me asking, so it looked brand new when I went to pick it up.They made a mistake but they went well out of their way to fix it. These guys are honest and sincere, and thats a lot more than can be said for other tow companies.

Some of there employees are soo mean to customers. There is this lady who sits in the booth within the parking yard. She treated me so bad like a criminal much as I tried explaining to her. She started yelling at me and even called security as if ibwas a threat to her.

I got my car towed (my fault). I was very upset and obviously trying hard not to let it affect my attitude towards workers who have no control over it. I called to make sure they accept card, they told me yes but then asked if I was out of state. Out of state plates pay cash only? When I arrived no one was there and I called, they had an ETA of 20 mins. They were on time, I just wish I didn’t have to wait so late in the night (11pm). Worker was great who took payment and seemed very friendly. No issues overall.

Incredibly rude service, and very sketchy vibes. The guy on the phone said one number for the cost but the guy at the door said another (higher) number we ended up having to pay. Both insisted on cash only, and there is even signage saying only cash, but when I insisted I had no cash they let me pay with card—probably a tax evasion scheme.

Obviously a tow lot isn’t going to be a great experience for anyone, but these people do everything in their power to make the trip to their lot as difficult as it can be.First off, the owner clearly doesn’t have any cajones, as they have a 13 year old kid running the show and taking complaints from customers. He clearly isn’t trained, and I did feel very bad for him. His parents left him out to dry.Next, we were told that we had to pay in cash, which is totally fine, but they don’t have any change. So I needed to get $144.68 out of the atm that only dispenses $20 bills. Again, the 13 year old lot attendant didn’t have any suggestions aside from trading dollars with other people in line.Finally a big man that drives a truck told us to go to a store and get change… because that is how businesses work?Long story short, this place is a joke and it’s clearly a reflection of the leadership. Wish the city of Boston would partner with a more competent towing company.

Very determined drivers. They know my black tundra truck very well. They towed me right in front of my eyes, truly professional as he hooked up my tires in thirty seconds before I could plan my escape . Would hire if I owned a city and needed to tow people. 10/10

My car got towed from Brighton. I call D&G and the on phone, lady tells me to go to downtown to Boston PD for tow receipt. One hour and a $30 ride later I come to find out I’m at the wrong station. I call her back and now she’s yelling, telling me to go to Brighton PD. No apology or acknowledgment of her mistake, ok that’s fine, but when I ask her to repeat the address she says “look it up ok?” and proceeds to hang up on me. So, no definitely not ok, who treats people like that anyway? I call back to double check I got the right info this time, as well as find out who the rude lady that spoke to me was. The guy that picked up when I called back, Roberto, lied to my face and said that he didn’t know the name of the woman I spoke to. At that point I realized she probably takes her cues from him and that I was fighting a losing battle. Quite the duo those two are over there. Despite me not know who she is, I’m hoping this gets to someone that does know and who can explain to her that regardless of other interactions she’s had with customers (which I’m guessing in the tow business aren’t always great), to please treat customers (they are people too) with basic courtesy and respect when dealing with them, and especially when you’ve just cost that customer an additional 2 hours and $60 in expenses because you gave them bad information.

TLDR: be prepared to wait to get your car unblocked longer than they say, and don’t stop calling the office until someone comes to help you!Had to wait OVER AN HOUR for someone to unblock my car out of the lot. I understand things get busy and all businesses are understaffed, it was just frustrating to repeatedly be told someone was coming and then no one would come. Just don’t lie!They told me 5-10m as I left the office. I called after 20m and they said someone would be right out. Waited another 20m and called again to say no one ever came out. They said they’ve been busy and someone was coming now. I asked if someone was really coming because I was told twice already someone was coming and no one came. They said yes. STILL NO ONE CAME. I waited ANOTHER 20m. Again. No one came. All this time no one even came to look to see what car it was, if they had a key for it, etc. So I called AGAIN and someone FINALLY came to look at the car (after another additional 5m) and surprise surprise they had a key to the car and didn’t need to tow it out to unblock me. It took them 5 seconds to move it. Absolutely ridiculous.At least be honest about the wait time, guys. Don’t keep lying saying someone’s on the way to help when they aren’t.

The people had no idea what they were doing. They made me pay cash since my car wasn’t under my name and they didn’t have change so they expected me to walk to a store to find change. They’re extremely rude and not helpful. Good luck to anyone who gets their car towed by them. It’s a terrible experience.

FANTASTIC PEOPLE WORKING AT D&G. I walked to D&G in the rain to avoid an Uber cost because I this was my third street cleaning ticket and first time being towed for it. As I was getting married in 3 days I wanted to see if the folks at D&G would cut me a break and waive the tow fee, thankfully after explaining the circumstances they did help me out and waived the tow fee for me so I could get my car back for FREE. Anthony was especially touched by the marriage and it was a special moment that one wouldn’t expect when he became choked up and wiped a tear from his eye after I thanked them saying that I know it’s a thankless job and most people think those working in the profession are callous but the folks at D&G have HEARTS MADE OF GOLD!!! True story no cap I will be buying them drinks now. Happy 4th my birthday and the day of my wedding is saved!

Got my car arbitrarily towed again and I was even 10 minutes early moving it and literally caught the guy towing away my car. I shouted after him and he screamed at me to move my car earlier next time. When I got to the towing yard, I noticed that there was an underage worker at the booth. There is no way this kid was over 12 years old, he didnt even know what a receipt was! I know the people who own D&G towing are not the brightest bulbs, but that was just ridiculous. I think illegal activity is going on here, they honestly need to be reported.

Got in a big wreck. Front end damage with broke chassis. They came in a timely manner, towed and did a huge job on my front end. You wouldn’t even tell I was in an accident. Service was so nice and friendly. Took a business card on my way out, I would recommend their services!

I don’t care if they’re a tow company there should still be a level of professionalism and customer service. Cannot speak highly enough of the service I received from D&G. I got a flat around 8PM on a Sunday, and was referred to D&G by another roadside assistance company. They were extremely prompt and their driver, Jordan, was incredibly kind and professional. When I picked my car up the staff was extremely friendly and helpful— they had not only replaced my tires as requested for a very reasonable price, but cleaned my car too! I would definitely use them again and recommend them to a friend.

I requested a tow when my car broke down in Boston In the middle of the road, they arrived pretty quick and Offered to bring it to their mechanic where they fixed my car and as a courtesy they even washed my whole entire car, inside out, staff was incredibly friendly and nice. Definitely the best towing experience I’ve had, would 100% recommend.

Awful service and staff. Inflexible office hours to pick up vehicle. Called ahead got quoted on price to pick up . I was out of work at 6 went to the site to pay my fee and leave and no one was there. Website says open 24 hours I show up at 6:05pm and am told by a tow driver that stumbled in that I have to come back tomorrow when the office is open and I will be charged an additional 30 dollars. I asked the driver that I had the fee I just want my car . The employee said he wasnt going to help me and to come back tomorrow and bring the late penalty fee. Are you kidding me your website says 24 hours!!!!!! Honestly disgusted and am sick to my stomach with the professionalism, service and communication of D&G Towing. DO NOT GO HERE FOR AUTOBODY NEEDS they will nickel and dime you for abysmal quality, and service.

All tow companies are snakes.

They towed my car, damaged my front end, and argued with me when I went to pick up my car. Also, at one point they threw my money back at me and told me to come back when I could afford it. If that isnt a comment on how not to treat a person of color in this environment, Im not sure what is.I have never been treated so wrongly when picking up my car anywhere else. To top it all off, amidst the change they gave me was some fake money. They will be hearing from a lawyer.

I was towed the other weeknight for street- cleaning violations although there were no signs anywhere near where I parked. I showed them pictures of the signs near where I parked to indicate there were no such restriction signs but the staff member did not seem to care. Although, I was visibly upset about the situation, I did not insult or belittle the staff present at the time. However, one of the tow truck drivers nearby in the lot decided to intervene and started to call me names and intimidate me to get me to leave and pay saying things alongside of stop being a self-entitled brat, and grow up. Im disgusted by the intimidation tactics and unprofessional behavior I experienced while there. I had every right to be upset and strongly express why so but you should not be treating people like that.

This company is a fraud. Per the MA law we need to pay 108$ for towing however they charge 170$. Plus per the MA law we can pay using credit card but they only accept cash. Moreover the people working there are extremely rude and unprofessional .

Just over 20 minutes ago I saw the driver of this truck run a red light (around five seconds after it changed from yellow) at the intersection of Tremont St and St Alphonsus St with two pedestrians in the crosswalk in front of him. He stopped where the picture was taken and seemed to be pitching some kind of a fit over the radio. Ive never been a customer of D&Gs and wouldnt put my car in a position to be towed in this city but if AAA ever lists them as an option when Im in a pinch (assuming D&G is with AAA) I know whose business I wont be accepting. Get your drivers under control. Youre not an emergency service entitled to ignoring traffic laws.

My car towed by calling by someone that is not owner. And they just towed my car with a i dont know. Im sorry and charged me over one hundred for one hour. Its sucks

A few of the employees at this place are ridiculously rude. They yell at customers when asked questions, lie about their identity, and honestly, its just impossible to deal with service like this. I feel terrified of even being in front of the woman that handles customers here considering I spent a good half hour being yelled at by her for absolutely no reason. Just because a customer doesnt say much to you, doesnt mean you abuse them or intimidate them. Consider hiring better people, and better humans overall. The purpose of any business is to serve society. Unfortunately, keeping insensitive people at the front of any business is bound to damage it. Please, if youre able to hire better people, do so! Ill be more than willing to help you in the search for employees who respect other human beings. 🙂

I got towed for not seeing a sign which is completely my fault. I was extremely upset at first and yelled and screamed at the employees over the phone and all they could do was listen and try to explain which I did not want to listen. I arrived at the location where my car was and I continued to be upset but after talking to the employee at the tow company I realized it was not his fault. The gentleman was really nice and clam did not give me attitude at all which I was surprised because I was really rude. I explained that I did not have my credit card only an atm card that was not in my name but in my moms name because she wanted to pay for me unfortunately I could not use it because my mom was not present even though she called in but like they said it could be anyone calling in posing as her which is true but luckily they had an atm I could use which I thought was convenient. I paid for my car and as I went to start it of course my battery was dead lol I knew I had a battery problem so I wasnt surprised it was just my luck in having a bad day. I walked back to the office of the tow company asked them for a jump at first he told my there is a small fee for it but then I believed he felt bad for me because he saw I was having a tough day and did it for me for free at no cost and when I asked him why he simply said some times a small gesture of kindness goes a long way plus I guess the owner told him it was ok for him to do so which is awesome.

Yesterday, October 9, 2018, my car broke an axle. It was hugging the ground, the wheel turned out. I called AAA, they sent me a tow company called Bostonian. A young man came with a flat bed two truck, studied my car, took photos of it, called his office. He said he didnt know how to tow it. He just went away. I dont know why it took AAA 4 hours to send me another company with the right special equipment. They send me D & G Towing, and the special equipment was just another flat bed two truck. In fact, the difference was the quality of their personnel! Another young man, Mr. Nick, of D & G came with the same kind of tow truck that Bostonian couldnt use to tow me. Nick immediately pulled my car onto his tow truck and had me home with my broken down car in no time. Nick was highly competent, extremely polite, friendly, knowledgeable, confident, and did the job easily that the other tow company didnt know how to handle. Next time, I will try to ask AAA to send me D & G in the first place! D & G is lucky to have a person of Mr. Nicks quality working for them! I highly recommend them!

There is definitely a reason this company’s rating is so low. I’m only giving 1 star because I can’t give 0. AAA sent this company to tow my car to a shop and they dropped my vehicle at the garage but did not leave my key. So the entire day that the garage was supposed to be fixing my car, they couldn’t because they didn’t have the key. They also left my window down (in the rain) and my car unlocked with possessions inside. I had to call to hunt down my key and it cost me a second day of not being able to get to work because I couldn’t get my car fixed the first time. Horrible experience, horrible customer service. AAA apologized and said this company gets a lot of complaints. Avoid them.I also notice that they respond to most of the reviews by denying everything and saying the reviews are just “attempting to ruin their online reputation.” A good indication of how accountable they hold themselves to bad customer experiences. Bad service ruins your reputation.

I had my 2014 Honda Civic which is lowered , towed which is fine , cause I parked on street cleaning but when I had called to check on what type of tow truck they tow my car in she said “A tow truck what you mean” so I went to the tow lot to find out my whole under shield of my car was dragging and I try to talk to the later there for a solution but she seemed frustrated for some reason , i don’t know why but she shouldn’t be cause she not the one just just bought a brand new car , spend about 1200 to lower my car and for the under shield to get ripped and left there to drag , I ask for a manager and she said noo I have to take the car as it is , which if I do it will make me reliable for the damage after taking the car out of the lot. BAD SERVICE !!!

We got towed by Nick from D&G Towing and he was fantastic! He helped us push the car out of a tight spot and very quickly brought us to the mechanic. Nick was fast, efficient, and super friendly.

They make contract with the tenants of the properties in Allston area to tow the cars. It is not legal unless if the tenants of the properties have contractual rights to sublease the property to 3rd party for profits. D&G or Dog towing has done this for decades and it’s time for media to report their unethical and Potential illegal activities and also report to Attorney Generals office to further investigate their unethical activities. We gotta stop them from stealing money from people.

Price wasnt bad but I would have been happy to pay more if it meant I was treated like a human being rather than the dirt on the bottom of this guys shoe.

After towing my car from my rented spot, the employees at this company were extremely rude to me and laughed at my frustration. Disregarded masks entirely even though my friend and I were both wearing masks. Loudly mocked customers over the phone with other employees. Upsetting experience.

I had a demoralizing experience with one of the managers at D&G Towing. OK, my car was towed from the street during street sweeping, my bad, it happens but then to add insult to injury the manager swore at me not just once but twice. Then when I asked for her name, she refused and told me she didnt have to tell me that. I did not swear at her or provoke her to do so. At any rate I am not sure why the Great City of Boston has contracted with D&G Towing. Stay far away if you have the choice and if you car gets towed and ends up there, I pray you have a better experience then I did.

Please stop letting your flatbed tow trucks run their engines for so much excessive amounts of time at night I wake up even through my sleeping pills and havent slept right in over a week. Its bad enough that your trucks sometimes feel the need to communicate via laying on their horn that the whole neighborhood can hear. Which is actually happening as I type. Its not funny.

I recently just had my car towed obviously not willingly but it was due to my own fault. City signs are clearly posted and we all just need to learn how to read them and stop ignoring them because we think we can get away with it. At first I admit I was pissed but then I laughed because these people did nothing at all but there job! City workers come out to review there work and the city’s meter/ticket person comes out and tags meaning puts a ticket on our cars for the violation that is why we get towed because we don’t more our cars and they are not wrong for it. While at the counter awaiting my turn I saw how disgusting people can be to these poor girls just trying to die there job. People are monsters and then demand for them to understand them like really!!! What gets me the most is reading what people have to say about them like do you say how you treat them first like yelling screaming saying nasty things what in the right mind do you think someone will be smiling at you if you are calling them names and or giving them a hard time! Poor girl apologized and for what I told her she did nothing wrong and that I am sorry she deals with people like him. We all need to realize just like we need our jobs they do too and maybe you may not like what they do but we don’t need to make there lives miserable because of our own mistakes. This is one of the most unethical company in this business! The tow driver was rude and aggressive. He didn’t even gave me my change back and stormed off with his truck! OMG! I would never recommend them to anyone. Unethical drivers and company.

Took absolute delight in telling me how much I owed and charged me for a full storage day despite my car being towed just 2 hours prior. Upon protesting this the girl simply said thats the price well the other girl behind the counter snickered. Rude and outlandishly overpriced. Lucky they even get a star because that is generous. Car was towed for street cleaning this morning (my fault, I forgot). I did however get to my car before it was even hooked and the operator told me to call the office to have it called off. Upon calling the office they put me on hold. While I was on hold, the truck operator pulled my car onto the back of his truck. Then while I was standing in front of the truck (still on hold) the office called him and he said it was already on the back of the truck and he proceeded to take a picture. Obviously that led to the office woman telling me there is nothing they can do because they just want their money. My rim was also scratched as the car was being dragged onto the truck (manual, in-gear, emergency brake on). When I arrived to pick up my car ten minutes later I told the operator he lied and he offered to take this outside. Always lovely when the tow truck operator offers to fight you on a Wednesday morning!

Girl at reception was understanding of our situation. Only take cash. Very confusing hours. Would not explain fees over phone.

Awful service they are clueless

A COUPLE NIGHTS AGO I WAS TRAVELING ON STORROW DRIVE IN ALLSTON, I WAS HAVING A ROUGH NIGHT BROKE AS HELL NO MONEY TO PAY NOT EVEN FOR A BURGER ON THE DOLLAR MENU LOL AND OF COURSE I GOT A FLAT TIRE. I WAS SCARED TIRED AND HELPLESS, WHEN D&G TOWING AND I BELIEVE A STATE TROOPER PULLED UP TO HELP. THE WORKER FOR D&G TOW QUICKLY RAN OUT HIS TRUCK TOLD ME TO GET IN HIS TRUCK AND BEGAN TO TOW MY CAR. ONCE OFF THE HIGHWAY HE UNLOADED MY VEHICLE AND CHANGED MY TIRE. I EXPLAINED I HAD NO MONEY AND TO MY RELIEVE HE SAID OK NO PROBLEM. I BELIEVE HE WAS THE OWNER VERY NICE MAN. I WAS IN SHOCK THAT HE DID NOT CHARGE ME I EVEN CRIED IN EXCITEMENT BECAUSE I COULD NOT AFFORD THE SERVICE. I WANT TO THANK D&G TOWING AND THE MAN WHOM CAME OUT TO ASSIST. I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR THEM AND THE STATE TROOPER WHO KEPT US SAFE UNTIL WE WERE OFF STORROW. AGAIN THANK YOU D&G TOWINGFOR HELPING ME OUT AT NO CHARGEYOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!

This company is a scam. They troll lots for people who are actually paying for spots. They were not wearing masks inside their office. And it took forever for them to rearrange cars to get mine out of the back.

ATTN: LADIES OF ALLSTONHi D&GEarlier tonight as I was walking home from a friend’s house, I experienced a highly uncomfortable interaction with a few of your drivers. I was crossing Linden St from Ashford, heading down towards Gardener. I had ALREADY STARTED crossing the street, when your drivers turned onto Linden from Farrington Ave. They proceeded to drive very aggressively and refused to slow down, even as I was steps from the sidewalk. They then also decided to call me explicit names and shout sexual comments at me as they passed.I’m sure you probably don’t care, I’m only making this review to let ladies in Allston know to beware of your misogynistic employees when dealing with your company. It was incredibly inappropriate behavior, and entirely unwarranted.

Not open 24 hours a day as google indicates. Came home from airport at 1a to pickup car, and they were closer, so I got to walk a mile home with my luggage. Update your hours.

On May 9th, 2018 at 1pm, a driver towing an Audi almost ran me off the road twice, and was driving violently and recklessly on COMMONWEALTH AVENUE. This driver should not be legally allowed to operate this kind of vehicle as I fear they are endangering others on the road. The driver was a male, but that is all of the information I have. Please fire them.I should also note they were in one of the larger tow trucks and that I called the business after this happened. The woman on the phone said she would speak to the manager, so if nothing is done then it is clear they do not care. I expect something to be done about this situation or one day that driver will seriously injure someone.

My car was towed for street cleaning, I was so pleased they held my car for me and charged $180.

They have crazy drivers, one of them just cut me while driving on market st Allston mass with no signal light or nothing.. then the driver flicked his middle finger at me because I beeped at him knowing he was at the wrong.. . This is bad for business the manger should be AWARE of the crazy driver he hires.. I would never call them for any towing services I wouldn’t trust the driver with my car .. BAD DRIVERS.. BAD FOR BUSINESS....

They towed my car and I received it back with a big dent on the roof as if they let something fall on my car. I’m taking out a civil suit against the company to pay for the damages. If you damage my car while you tow it you’re paying for what you did. They’ll be hearing from my attorney soon

Almost sideswiped by a driver who was towing a vehicle, who proceeded to flip the bird to me one evening. A couple weeks later, I watch another driver cut off two vehicles in traffic. After the first incident, I called to alert them to their terrible driving and was told Id receive a call back. Never did. Today, the dispatch person claimed to dial in to a dashcam and tell me that everything I just witnessed with my own two eyes was inaccurate. Will never use them. I suggest that you dont encourage them by using their services.

Best service experience my car was broke down aaa sent out d&g towing and the driver was so polite that and handle my car with care....

Charged me $35 for the car being there 3min. Woman was so incredible rude but that explains why she works at a towing company

Towed my car wrongfully and claimed Boston Transport Police issued it. Also claimed the manager was out for a month, and I couldnt go through the Parking Clerk appeal because it wasnt city issued. If this happens to you file a complaint with the Boston Transport Authority to get your money back, even though it takes like a month or two. Huge shady scam company.

They towed my car for street cleaning so I cant be happy about it but they didnt accept amex, they kept my license so I couldnt get money out of the bank and they were very rude. I wsh my car had been towed by the city bc its less expensive and the people are nicer.
