Where do I begin?! Tulya is an exceptional tailor technically speaking but also has amazing taste. She did the alterations on my complicated wedding dress and everything was done better than I could’ve imagined. She offered multiple solutions for my requests and eased all of my nervousness about cutting into the most expensive and important garment I’ve ever had. She did a complete overhaul of the chest and waist of the gown to have it fit me like a glove. There were also so many little details she thought of that hadn’t even crossed my mind, for example she hid the loops for my bustle within the flower embroidery of the dress so that when it was down you couldn’t see it. She chose very specific parts of the dress to pick up in the bustle to enhance the design of the dress. The list goes on and on... I’m never letting her go!!

Tulya is my go to for all alterations. I’m very particular and she always lives up to my very high expectations. She did extensive work to my wedding dress and veil and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Highly recommend.

Avoid at all costs. Had an asymmetrical dress hemmed. One side of the dress was several inches longer than the other. When I got the dress back one side of the dress was only half an inch longer than the other. Rather than looking asymmetrical, the dress just looks as if the hem is crooked. Not only that but the crooked hem doesn’t lay flat. Tulya said that she could fix it, but I don’t know how you make a dress longer after you’ve cut it too short by several inches. She said she left fabric within the dress and would be able to do it but this is not true. I sew myself and this hem is too short to achieve the asymmetric look it is supposed to have. She took an asymmetric dress and turned it into a sheath with a crooked hem. Regardless, we were leaving to go out of town for the wedding the next morning and chose to use what little time we had to shop for a new dress rather than wait to see what the end result would be after Tulya tried to make a dress that was much too short longer. Of course she refused to refund our money.
