Update: BEWARE. After agreeing to allow Expert Pest to complete more rodent exclusion work I am still experiencing openings around my outside HVAC equipment that need to be filled. I was sitting in my home office with a clear line of sight to a rodent climbing into this opening to get out of the rain. When I called the Expert Pest office to get assistance with this problem -- they told me to send them a picture of the hole and they would decide if they were coming out or not!! Shameful business practices. I will be filing a small claim against them if they do not return the annual fee Ive already paid.I totally agree with the negative comments about this company. There were mice in the home I purchased in Warren, Ohio and made the mistake of calling Expert Pest to address this problem. I enrolled in their annual plan for total pest control (spiders, etc.) plus purchased their exclusion service. The initial service tech was polite and profesional, but did not fill all the cracks and crevices as indicated per the exclusion service. He also did not use enough poison in my house to actually exterminate the mice. After calling into the office to clarify the extent of the exclusion work, I was told by the sales person who sold me the service that indeed the company filled holes both inside and out (smaller than a golf ball and under 4 feet from the ground). The service tech refused to seal the holes around the plumbing underneath my kitchen sinks, and my initial request for clarification was never answered. Do they fill obvious interior holes, or not?I eventually got another pest service to put poison and bait stations around my house, but they do not normally service Warren. I was prepared to deal with Expert Pest for my other extermination since I had a handle on the mice issue, until they sent an extremely rude and unprofessional field tech to my home who was immediately defensive and dismissive of my concerns. He came with a field supervisor who said nothing as his subordinate lost me as a customer due to his lack of professionalism. From telling me the other pest control company broke the law by putting poison in my basement closets, to acting like they were doing me a favor to fill in the holes in my exterior brick, the Expert Pest company clearly does not value my business or concerns for my investment. The lack of professionalism is disappointing, but I spent over $500 with them to have no real resolution to my problem. After trying to explain my concerns to these field techs it dawned on me-- these people do not care about your house, these mice, or this contract. They just want my money. I DO NOT allow rude and negative service providers -- who I pay my hard earned money to-- in my home, so I asked them to leave. I would give Expert Pest a zero rating if I could.

Thank god for these wonderful people. Everyone is always super friendly and understanding. I am so grateful that in my most panicked times they remain calm and cheerful. Especially their wonderful and helpful receptionist. She scheduled my appointment and my revisit quickly and efficiently and is so super friendly and informative. She made one of the hardest times of my life completely bearable and she deserves a raise. My technician was awesome as well! Probably one of the nicest people Ive ever met and he assured me through my bleeding embarrassment that this kind of thing happens sometimes and that he would be sure to take care of it for me. He even said hello to my cat, who was anything but polite. Thank you for all that yall do! You are truly the best. We cannot thank you all enough!

If I could give a 1/2 star I would. I called Expert Pest Management and let them know that I may have termites. They asked me to send a picture, so I did. They returned a call and told me they were carpenter ants. I told her to send someone out because I didnt want damage done to my home, we are in the middle of an outside renovation and I didnt want to do it again anytime soon. The tech did arrive in the time frame they told me he would be here. When he looked at the insects he said they were reproducer ants and wouldnt hurt my house. I can deal with the ants myself. He was insisting that we have the treatment and my husband told him 3 times that the treatment wasnt needed if they were regular ants, that we could take care of it. Every time my husband said we would take care of it he said but it comes with a 6 month warranty. Its the end of Sept., the warranty would be finished the end of March. I have never, ever had an ant in the winter. He finally said he would have to contact the office and see what they said. They told him it would be a refusal and to charge us $100. What the...., my husband was furious and spoke with the office. They settled on $50 which still ticked us off. We paid the $50 and he left. Moral of the story, ask about a refusal policy, most places have free estimates, and use google to find out what type of insects you may have. Will save you a lot of hard earned money.

Work was terrible. I have been getting treatments since Nov. And problem still not solved. I am proceeding with law suit today!

I have utilized their services for several years and at two separate residences. I have always been satisfied with the results. Staff are prompt and knowledgeable. They arrive when they say they will be there. They ask if I have any questions and/or new problems they need to address. Their rates are reasonable when compared with other companies. Been a customer for several years. Started when I was invaded by rats trying to find a new home when their corn crib was destroyed. They did such a good job I put them on a four times a year maintenance schedule. They took care of mice one trip and dusted for bugs the rest of the time. I requested an emergency visit and got it in two days at no charge (because of being on the annual program).

Horrible service. The owners a jerk. Tried them twice. Didnt eliminate the pests. The guy didnt know what he was doing. He said theyre only given a weeks training. Everyone that Ive talked to about them said they have a high turnover rate. Having talked to the owner I see why. I suggest people go to a company that appreciates customers/employees. This company isnt it.

Weve used Expert Pest Management since 1996 and have had excellent service. When weve had problems (ants in the kitchen, a yellow jacket infestation under the siding) they responded quickly and fixed the problem. I recommend them to anyone who needs pest management.

If I could leave a review of zero stars I would. Horrible customer service. Never going back. I would rather spend more money at a bigger corporate place, knowing Ill be taken care of then at a small business where my business is less than appreciated. Never going back here again.

Eric showed up on time , told us exactly what was going to going on. Told us how long it would take and thats how long he took. He was in and out got everything sprayed down and then went did the outside of our house. Its been 3 days and we havent had any ants and are hardly any fleas.

So I took a chance on Expert Pest Management thinking Id rather go through a small local company than a big chain, and I cant overstate how big a mistake I made calling them. I spoke with a woman on the phone to get somebody out to the house to take care of a wasp problem we were having, she set everything up and I figured that was that. After a week theyd come out and I wouldnt have to worry about my son playing in our backyard anymore. Wrong.They sent out one of their experts who came out and sprayed, and they seemed like they were in a hurry right out of the gate. The man who came out rushed through the process and didnt seem to care at all. Before he started I specifically asked him to spray around my sons treehouse well because I knew that was a problem area for us. I watched him from inside the entire time he was there and he didnt even go near the treehouse, and he LEFT before I could even say anything about it. Didnt say anything at all, just left.So I called of course and told the representative what happened. They apologized and assured me theyd someone else out to fix the problem, but Id have to wait another TWO WEEKS to get someone out, so I asked for a refund instead, which they of course refused. So I settled for having them come back out, but specifically requested a different expert to come out and spray.Two weeks go by and Im waiting for my appointment, they told me it would be between 1-3. The guy doesnt show up until 5:30! And to top it off, its the SAME GUY as before. I was friendly to him, but I let him know I was told he would be out much earlier, and he just told me he wasnt the one responsible for scheduling but I could reschedule if I had things to do. But I needed it done and I wasnt about to wait another two weeks or who knows how long to get another appointment. He sprayed again, missed the treehouse, again but this time I caught him before he could leave, and told him I needed him to go back and get the treehouse. He said he had to get to another appointment and could get it real quick but he would have to go immediately afterward. I said that was fine as long as he could get the treehouse and everything was clear.So here we are 3 weeks later, and I still have a wasp problem. My son still cant go in our backyard. The treehouse is still swarming with wasps. I called them back and asked if I could just get my money back. They told me they dont give refunds and when I asked to talk to a manager they basically asserted that I was trying to con them and refused to send anyone else out or anything.Hands down, the worst home service Ive ever had. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
