Colonial Gardens is such a beautiful nursery! I live a few minutes away and frequent this place often with my baby! We love watching their chickens and browsing the greenhouse and all the plants. They have so much variety and every visit I find something new! They also have a great section with plants under $5, baby plants, this is where I buy most of my greens!! All the plants are so healthy and they are competitive in their pricing I haven’t found better deals anywhere else! Joy is so sweet! If you have any plant needs or questions go to her she will help you above and beyond! The return policy is one day only so I hope that changes in the future (I have cats and sometimes pick up a plant that I didn’t realize was poisonous, I have a nibbler kitty so it’d be nice to exchange the plant). But other than that it’s a great place! Plus the cafe serves delicious food and drinks. They also have a farm side where you can go berry picking but I haven’t done that yet.

Once they have your money, you are persona non grata. I had high hopes with excellent customer service and attention to my needs. Then I paid for a tree with installation. I had to call numerous times and to get in install date. Then the install was botched and now I have to persist just to get to talk to a person. Forget about getting called back. When I do eventually talk to a person all I hear is about . . . this is our process. I guess their process isnt about customer satisfaction. I had to fix the installation myself and now cant get a response.

Colonial Gardens is an incredible place to go for flowers and vegetable plants. The staff are very knowledgeable about the plants and are happy to share advice. I asked a staff person for a 30-second tutorial about growing tomatoes as this will be my first year, and she gave me a lot of information but appropriate for me as a beginner. Joy provided a lot of assistance in choosing plants for full sun, and she planted everything for me (for a reasonable price) in my own flower pot that I brought from home. Joy is an absolute professional and exhibits her zeal for the work that she does! I highly recommend Colonial Gardens!

Love the nursery and store!BUT This review is for the new Colonial Kitchen. Overpriced, small servings and that would be acceptable if the food was excellent. But it’s not.Pulled pork was dry on dry bread. Potato salad wasn’t potato salad, it was cut up under cooked potatoes with a dressing on them, that’s it. Cucumber salad with tomatoes was mushy. $15. Friendly service was the only reason for the 2 stars.

I didnt visit Colonial Gardens for the nursery portion (although I did buy some potting soil). We went for the live entertainment. They have live music at this nursery. You must reserve a table ($10). Alternately, purchase a basket. We had a white wine basket, it came with bottled water, a soft cheese, hard cheese, salami, crackers, and bites of chocolate ($50). They provide you with cups, plates, napkins, a cutting board and cheese knife to use.Colonial Gardens has a large selection of market items that are locally sourced, organic. You can purchase foods, soft drinks, wine and spirits from the market to enjoy at your table, if you choose not to do the pre-prepared basket.Theres plenty of parking. Accessible parking, entrance and restrooms. Restrooms are gender specific.

First time going to Colonial Gardens and will definitely be a repeat customer. Even though it was busy, the staff found time to help me find exactly what I was looking for. I didn’t find it “pricey” but if other people do, I would rather pay extra for first class knowledgeable and friendly staff then going to most garden centers where the people don’t have a clue about a lot of their plants, flowers etc. I’m glad an employee at a garden center recommended Colonial Gardens!

WAY over priced. Super, duper, WAY over priced!!! Quite disappointed in the quality of the plants that are more than double what other nurserys have to offer for same quality (Bens was even better!). Maybe the fancy neighborhoods coming in have given some entitlement for price gouging? Quite bummed, we will NOT be back! We went to Bens on 40 and 15th...such a better experience!

Beautiful nursery! Has a lot of indoor and outdoor plants to choose from. They are a bit pricey.. I left with an indoor plant. So if you do, be sure to inspect the whole plant before taking it home.

More quantity and less variety than what colonial used to have. And unfortunately, you can never get anyone on the phone. You call and instantly are directed to voice mail jail, and then after being on hold for couple minutes, are told they are too busy to answer your call. Ive called on rainy days in NOVEMBER and gotten this.

After a few seasons of doing what Colonial suggested I am happy to say it is doing better than it has in many seasons.
