I don’t think I’ve ever seen a person working at this post office. If you actually need help or are expecting to talk to someone, find another post office. If you’re just looking for a large PO Box it’s an easy place to pop in and grab your packages.

Made an appointment for Passport services and when i arrived they said the person for passports was not in and i was “not” on their list. I made this appointment last night, so why not print an updated list every morning??... The list they had showed 3 other people so why not call and inform us before wasting our time. And if theres a job that has to be done why arent they doing it?

Got here at 2:35pm until I finding out at 2:50 the clerk went out to lunch at 2:30 and would return at 3:30

This postal office can’t never get it together. I return mail twice to them that did not belong to me abs they keep reliving it to my address. That person didn’t even lived at my address before I moved there. How hard is it to do a return to sender? Also, I asked if they had any tape. Keep in mind I know you have to buy it so that’s what I meant by that question. This young lady said “no, we don’t, you would have to buy it.” I replied that what I meant. They keep their take behind the counter. I didn’t know that so that’s why I asked. She made an assumption and I didn’t like it. Whelp, I got that off my chest. We need the postal office so this review won’t mean much.

Constantly closed for problems with the internet sistema, I put my mall in hold for one week, and they delivered the mail, that week I was on vacationsOne of my neighbors see all my mail on the floor and picked up!

The worst been waiting for a package for 5 days the tracking says its in the office and when I went there they say its not, we never get mail or there late. It will be a month or two until we get it!

I havent received my March metra ticket which was mailed out on the 15th of February. The mail sorting has become a huge problem for Blue Island.

I love my post office, its right on the same street of my home, its convenient I can walk. The ladies there are very pleasant i quest because I am too. you get back what you put out! nobody is going to be rude to you if youre not ! check yourself; youre not fully dressed unless you are wearing a smile!

This has got to be the worst Post Office in existence. I used to have a mail carrier that brought the mail EVERYDAY between 11:00 a.m. and noon. That changed a year ago or so, now I get mail from 1:00 p.m. to 5 or 6 p.m. or not at all. It is currently Saturday, March 9 at 4:30 p.m. Have yet to have mail delivered.Additionally, I get Sports Illustrated, a weekly magazine. Im lucky if I get 2 issues a month. Apparently someone at the PO is a fan of the mag. Finally, the person in charge is often rude (Ive called several times), treating the issue as if its my fault. Ive lived in Blue Island all my life and the Post Office was always one of the bright spots of the city. No longer. That place is a wreck. Given One Star because it wouldnt allow me to post without clicking something.

I have to clarify that the ones that work in the office are the ABSOLUTE Best. They are the friendliest, kindest group a people you ever want to meet, greet, or talk to... If we can get that kind of service with the ones that bring the mail to our homes wed be a very happy town and just might bless our mail carriers... (Them I would give only two stars, sorry)

I had scheduled a redelivery for a package that was never redelivered. They never left a pink slip the first time they delivered the package. I went to the post office and they had already sent my package back. Now I have to pay a shipping fee again to get my package back.

The lady told me I couldnt have my package redelivered with an attitude and that my only option was for someone to come pick it up for me. I knew that was a lie so I called the 1-800 number and was able to request a re-delivery for tomorrow. I am spending extra money for shipping and shouldnt have to deal with anyones attitude. Do not just leave a notice without checking to see if there are other alternatives.

The customer service was absolutely horrible. I made an online purchase and had it shipped. My package was not delivered. I contacted the post office to inquire about the reason. Instead of assisting me in finding the issue, the service representative had an attitude and was rude. Additionally, no reasoning was provided.

Let me start by saying that I only chose to go to this post office location because the other reviews that I read made it seem like it had decent customer service...BIG MISTAKE. I went in today with hopes of opening a PO Box only to be greeted with rudeness to an unparalleled degree. I kid you not. I was missing one of the required pieces of identification to open an account and the woman behind the counter was EXTREMELY unhelpful about the situation and I quote said, without a current homeowners insurance at hand or car insurance, we cant prove who you are or where you live, you could be JEFFREY DAHMER. Are you kidding me?! Thats definitely not something to make a joke about and it was even more distasteful because of her terrible attitude and demeanor you can tell that wasnt meant as a joke but as an insult. I couldnt believe it! On top of that, I had a passport and drivers license at hand but no the worker insisted, with an attitude, that it doesnt matter and there was nothing else to be done about it. She wasnt helpful AT ALL and added so much unnecessary rudeness on top of that it I couldnt recommend this location at all to anyone. If somehow you do end up here, you could be greeted with the same horrible service and rudeness as I did. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Wish I remembered the employees name so youd know exactly who to avoid.

These morons delivered my package to the wrong address a block away, when I called asking for my package, they lied to me and told me the package was delivered and they handed it to someone in my building. It wasnt until the person who received the wrong package was a Good Samaritan and call me to tell me he had my package, good job idiots 👏👏👏 thats it! end of rant!

The head of the Office is rude, defensive and clueless. Our carrier isundependable. Used to have a gentleman that was here everyday at 11:00 am give or take 10 minutes. Replaced him with a woman that delivers between 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Ive gotten mail at 7:00 p.m.! Hope theyre not paying this nitwit o.t.! Called her boss and she was extremely defensive. Lived here 60 years, sad to see ot go so far down. The inside service is a joke. Its Christmas time. Went today, they had a long line and ONE cretin working!

My experience getting a passport at the Blue Island Post Office was very stressful and aggravating. Day 1 waited 25 minutes to pick up application papers. Day 2 Arrived at 2:30 to summit my application and waited in a line out the door. only to be told that they stop taking them at 3:00....I waited 30 minutes to get to the clerk! Day 3 returned at 9:30 a.m. again the line was out the door. Waited 30 minutes again, and the clerk told me to go to the back of the post office to wait to be called! In the meantime she continually took other customers ahead of the people waiting to summit passport information. Finally I yelled out that we were ahead of the people she was waiting on. She responded you cannot dictate how I do my job. Finally she told another clerk to help me. It took 90 minutes to get the help I needed. I left there at 11:00!! I will call the BI Post Office to give the clerks name.

Theres no way to access your mail box after closing, should extend the time for the mail boxes then its a 5 Star. A real upgrade would be to have access 24 hrs and put a scale in the lobby that issue stamps. That way people can weigh the package buy the stamps and mail it.

If I could give a half of a star I would. personal mail was opened and shoved in my mail box. other times I didnt get my mail..even though usps online said I had mail coming that day. called post office and spoke to someone about this, and they have not gotten back with me about missing mail. and not package notices being left.

The delivery person sucks! Ive had several packages that were delivered but not to my address then I have to reorder my item. Ive had mail delivered to my neighbor because they have the same last name but clearly a different address, one of my neighbors has the same first name guess what he gets my mail all the time. Ive complained to no avail they do not care. Blue island postal service sucks!!

Blue Station Apartment mail carriers from BlueIsland are the worst that i have ever encountered. Its bad enough that our mailbox is two buildings away from our doors, but to cram a package inside of the mailbox that is too large to to retrieved by the customer with a key is unethical. What is the point of this?

OMG post person came today with a registered mail rang the bell hopped back into her truck before I could get to the door refused to bring the package to me and left ! No wonder usps is going broke
