I had the pleasure of spending a good deal of time with Ralph today and picking his brain. As a newbie, I came armed with questions and was beyond thrilled by the outstanding level of knowledge, patience, and customer service. I could spend hours talking with some of the experiences woodworkers at this store. Any question, just go in and theyll find someone with an answer. My experience is they love to help and teach. They also dont try to hard sell you on expensive machinery, theyre happy to help you save some money to get the product that gets the job done.

Reasonable selection of quality woodworking tools and equipment.I am unhappy with the customer service though. I was given 2 of the same sharpening stones for Christmas, I called shortly after and contacted store since I travel to Minnesota from time to time and asked if I could exchange one of the stones for full credit, without a receipt since it was a gift and was told it would be just fine.I called again on 3/5/21 to make sure they would still honor what was said back in January and was told yes.I arrived and told the clerk who I was and they seemed to understand and told them I would leave the stone that was to be returned to them upon entry so I wouldn’t be confused with anything questionable,So I sho around and find a few small ticket items.Upon checking out the clerk asked if I had a receipt and told him that I had already spoke with 2 different associates about this and said it was fine since I was exchanging, the third employee said no and it would cost him 15% to return it and he couldn’t do it. Since I had driven so far and had already purchased some stuff for my grandfather, I said I would take the hit.The explained my disappointment with the clerk, clerk couldn’t care less. I will tel everyone other woodworker that i know about this experience and I am beyond the average woodworker and help advise many other hobbyist due to my time I have invested in the craft.Unhappy with service not product.

These guys are awesome! Very knowledgeable. They have the right lumber and woodworking products for my needs and are willing to order things that are not stocked in the store.

I retired in 2015. I had to find something to keep me sane and watching soap operas was not cutting it. I walked into woodcraft just to take a look. Jeff welcome me and made me feel comfortable even though I didnt have any idea how any of that stuff worked. Well five years later Im very comfortable walking into woodcraft. Jeff has taught me so many things about woodworking that I really enjoy it

Incredible customer service! As soon as I walked in several staff members asked if I needed assistance. The man who helped me was very knowledgeable and explained exactly what I needed and why and even demonstrated how to use the tools. I had a fantastic experience!

Went in for scissor sharpening/adjusting Ralph was so quick and courteous. He even explained the whole process as he was doing it!

Excellent source for woodworking supplies!

The staff here are fantastic and knowledgeable about both the products they sell and woodworking as a whole. The experience can be a little intimidating for a novice, but if you communicate your knowledge and skill level, they do a fantastic job of explaining everything (they teach classes here too). Sticker shock can be a real thing here, but any niche retail store is going to be that way to some extent.

Im so happy that I was able to come to Woodcraft. As a beginner wood Carver I love a place that I get get carving materials. Great customer service and a friendly atmosphere

My first visit there. Big selection of the hardwood dowels I was looking for. Every tool imaginable. And very helpful staff. Definitely going back there.

Great place to go for a specific item or just to poke around. Staff is always helpfull. Walk in thinking about one project you may leave with a few more in mind.

The employees are awesome. They help you even if they dont carry what you are looking for.

They seem to have a great selection of things in the store. However, my experience using their online ordering was absolutely horrible. I ordered a product on 12/9/14 and did not hear anything for two months. After talking to people over a 4 day period, none of which could give me a direct answer on where my order was, I was sent an email by customer service saying my order was cancelled because the product was not available. Poor service at best in their online store.

What a cool spot. Everythings expensive, but I think thats kind of the norm in woodworking tools. People were extremely helpful and the whole place has a good feel.

Highly recommend — staff was super helpful!

I had two significant questions, and they had answers for both. 1. How to get new birch to look like 100 year old shellacked birch. They suggested a gel stain and applied it, in two different thicknessess, plus demonstrations of with/without shellac, to my sample lumber. It looks great. 2. My 100 year old cabinets use sticks with a zig-zag pattern to hold up the shelves. I was concerned that the 100 year old pine would not accept shellac yo the same degree as the 100 year old birch cabinets. They proposed a sensible solution that would look good and save me money. I am mulling over there proposals at home, and looking at them in natural light. They look pretty good; I think I will go back and buy the product. I appreciate their deep expertise, their work station where we could sample finishes on my scrap lumber, and their willingness to take the time to solve my problems. Those things are invaluable to me right now, as I remodel my kitchen. Great place!

Love this place. Staff is much more knowledgable than usually found at Rockler. Much better stock of high quality tools. Less emphasis ob power tools, more on power tool accessories.

Amazing ! I dropped of some tools for sharpening with the idea that they would be shipped out once sharpened. They were going to contact when they were shipped with the price for the sharpening and shipping. Upon the call for total the guy in the store Jeff, said he live close to me and would just drop them by on his way home!!! Talk about CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!

Went in to talk about planers. As usual someone knowledgeable found me and was able to answer all my questions.

A great selection of products for woodworking. Some of the things are a bit expensive, but I found quite a few that are significantly cheaper than Amazon. Will be going back soon.

This place has an unbelievable inventory. I found multiple styles of wood from $5 - $800. The sales staff was courteous helpful knowledgeable do I need to go on? If youre into woodworking this is the place.

Even with all of the Rockler stores around, I prefer Woodcraft for all of my woodworking supplies. Ever since the Rockler store on Lake Street in Mpls closed I have been going to the only Woodcraft store in The Cities. The staff is knowledgeable and willing to help with any questions. Typically, at least one clerk will have had some experience with the materials I have questions about. Prices are competitive and the website is a great resource for restocking.

Will not go back, sick of lack of customer service. Not busy, walk in to find something specific. 2 clerks, one is helping another customer and the other is standing at register and doesnt greet or acknowledge my existence. Looking at chisels for a few minutes after looking for the section in the store; found the ones that could be it are located right in front of register, look for help and the one is occupied with doing nothing and the other guy helps the customer that just walked in. Still Mr. Silence and pretending hes busy. I am not going to ask for help when I am standing right in front of a clerk thats NOT busy and the store has only two customers. Also, been in before for something specific and lead to item way beyond what we are wanting. After 20 minutes and reiterated the requirements Finally were shown that item. Either I am ignored, over helped or treated as stupid. Hope its not a gender issue.
