I would highly recommend First Strike. Rates are very reasonable and they do a thorough job. They did my termite inspection when I bought my house so I called them again when I had an ant issue as the weather got warm. They booked me very quickly and the tech that provided the service was fantastic. He helped to look for the source of the problem (and was even super kind and brought in a heavy package i had delivered for me while he was here). You can tell they care about their customers and go above and beyond!

I would not recommend reaching out to First Strike Termite & Pest Control, as they take action and require payment without actually getting confirmation to do the services.We had reached out to First Strike to inquire about their availability of a termite inspection for a house we are purchasing. Their response back was We dont know, well have to get back to you, and took down my wifes email address to reach back out to her. At this point, everything was fine, because we understand that especially in the start of summer, fitting in extra inspections can be difficult. With us being on a tight deadline we decided to reach out to a different company, who was able to fit in an inspection.Fast forward to today, when First Strike called my wife and said we owed them money for an inspection that we had not approved and that we did not know was happening. Evidently they had taken down her email incorrectly and emailed that incorrect address with information about the termite inspection. Then, without getting confirmation from us that we in fact needed and still wanted the procedure, they went ahead and did the inspection, and then called to collect on the bill - even threatening to put a lien on the house if we didnt pay for a service we never agreed to. In the end, they graciously agreed to cut the bill in half, but the damage had already been done.I cant say for certain if their quality of work is good, but the customer service and professionalism is severely lacking.

Although I was unable to meet my inspector, the report I received for a termite inspection for my new house, was detailed & straight forward. I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting pest control work done. The lady answering phones was so nice! Thank you for your great service!

Phil showed up ON TIME and was the most pleasant and courteous with his presentation and character. He quickly diagnosed our issue, helped move items, applied what needed applied to, cleaned up without being asked and offered to help bring in the groceries. Here and gone within 50 minutes and we couldnt be more pleased with the service.

We had two nests of mud daubers under the eaves of our top floor, and everyone at First Strike -- the techs who found and solved the problem, the owner who answered my initial email, and the office manager, who kept me informed -- could not have been more pleasant and helpful! The only place to call for termite inspections on a home purchase and general pest control. Randy and his team are fantastic and go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied! Super easy to do business with.

I researched all of the pest control companies in Bloomington/Normal and First Strike was the most competitive in terms of price. Also, Randy told me he used to work for one of the larger companies before starting First Strike a few years ago so he has many years of experience with the large well known companies. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and reliable. We had a problem with small black ants in our home. Randy sprayed the inside and outside of the house, located a colony that was the source of our problem, and set bait inside as well. We signed up for the quarterly service but he offers a one time service with a return spray for no additional charge. He also offers a monthly service if you dont need year round service. Very happy with First Strike and I highly recommend!

When I first bought my condo I set up for every 3 months. However, I have not heard a thing from them in over 8 months. I will be looking for another company since they cant seem to get here.Update: OK, so I am an idiot. It took me and my husband a year and a half to realize that we had our numbers changed about 2 months after we moved here... and kind of forgot to give First Strike our new contact information.I WILL say this for them, they dont hold hard feelings if you make a stupid mistake like that. We have gone back to them because Orkins spray was horrible. It didnt work in the slightest bit. ALSO, they dont live up to their guarantees. They tell you that your service is guaranteed for 3 months but it isnt. You call them to come back out to spray and they try to explain why their product isnt working AT ALL.First Strike is different. We got our home sprayed when we moved in and it took nearly an ENTIRE YEAR before we had to call in another company because the we were just then starting to see bugs. The service is better too. The gentleman spent time spraying behind objects, along all walls, around the windows and doors. He even went around the outside and laid ant bait because they were getting in my house. He was here for nearly 45 minutes.Parking, on the other hand, would be here for 15 minutes AND even though we would pull furniture from the walls the guy NEVER sprayed behind the stuff. Then they wondered why I was calling by the end of the first month saying We are still seeing spiders and those weird billion legged fishy bugs.I am definitely staying with first strike from now on. Next time I change my number I will make sure that my list of updated services includes First Strike.
