When I first attended John Casablancas everyone was very welcoming and kind. When I first signed in at the front desk I was immediately greeted and was told what class I had first. As I walked into my first class I was a little shy at first but after a few weeks I was able to express myself a lot more. Before I started I didnt realize how much I would learn. I didnt know how to properly walk dawn a run way, pose, or slate. It was really fun to learn how do do that even tho I was mostly there for the acting classes. I feel like I learned more then what I payed for.Its an amazing school and I highly recommend it. Thank you JC for everything.

I signed my son up for this I was told that if we cancel within the halfway mark we would not be charged and there would be no penalty to us and also we would get our deposit back of almost $400. After cancellation I never received any documentation from the school until I realize that there was a collection on my credit report that shows that I owe them money. I was never given any documentation or any bill showing that I owe the money. After contacted them they stated that it was an old amount before I cancel it and then I told him that there was no way and they said as a cancellation fee. They rip you off I would never do this again or recommend this place

My husband and I had our son in this modeling school and were told we could take him out at any time and did not have to pay the remaining balance but that was a big lie -we received several bill afterwards from a third vendor out of Saint Louis Missouri threatening us with a collection agency-this school is a waste of money and a big joke-the place should be reported to the Better Business Bureau in Minnesota. I have dealt with many businesses in my work for the State of MN but this is very disappointing-I would not recommend this place and not sign up my child ever again. If you want money then tell people the truth and do not lie to them to lock them into a contract-this message is in particular for Julie Campitelli.

My granddaughter is enrolled in your school. She only has a handful of classes to finish. We have been reaching out to you , to no avail, I know due to covid , classes have been stopped. When are you opening again , she would like to finish and get her portfolio that we have paid for. Is there someone we need to contact? To finish or get a refund? Thank you! Linda Burgess

You should never have to pay to be signed to an agency. This is the biggest sign of a scam. If an agency is legit they will ask for any money from you. John Casablancas has courses that help you to learn, but you can learn the same stuff online without paying a cent. This place is a scam.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. John Casablancas is a scam. They scam people for money and use other companies to do it too. I originally went to an interview/audition for this company because I was interested in modeling and acting. The lady in charge sat down with me and gave me vague information on the program and then told me that it cost money for classes. I signed up for the classes, attended one, and found it was not right for me. I withdrew from the classes and stopped attending. A year later I get a call from a credit collections company saying i owe this company $400.00. What?! No one had informed me on this and now they are forcing me to pay this money simply for not attending classes simply because it was in the contract. I am very frustrated that this is happening. I asked if they will take a settlement and they rejected it. I already paid MORE than the $400.00 originally when I signed up for the classes and never got a refund for those! Why pay more for not going to the classes. Now I am paying TWICE for classes I did not take. This is the worst place to do business with. They put fine print in their contracts allowing them to dig their customers and clients into debt. They target young kids, me, a broke college student that can barely pay rent and they force you to pay money by hiding their fine print and rules behind spotlights and loud music. Do not do business with this company, they will make you pay 2x more money than what they tell you it will cost and do not inform you on any fees that an account with them will incur. I am unhappy and unsatisfied with the company and its sneaky actions to get more money.

It took me two classes to realize what these people are doing. They make you feel like you’re special, and that they can help you work on your skills. They make themselves appear professional and claim their classes are 2 hours longbut today the guy stopped us at 4(usually ends at 5) asked us what time it was and just ended the class, saying we should checkout the graduation ceremony. I paid $80 for an hour class, and the lady said she had no ‘change’. They take advantage of your excitement, and people who’ve never been exposed to the industry before.I was told I’d be able to work on my confidence, and that in 6 months I’d be a completely different person. Why should it cost $2000+ for me to ‘work’ on my confidence? Please don’t waste your money on this place.

I just cant believe this company is still in business. I paid them $2000 years ago and they scammed me as well. I had to get Better Business Bureau involved. They will tell you any and everything to get money. Once they have succeeded in getting your money, they hang you out to dry. Please do not bother. If its meant for you to be a star, then it will happen. You dont have to pay $2000.

If I could I would give this place ZERO stars! When I was in 5th Grade my mom took me to this place and paid over 2000 dollars for 2 years of the classes. They said I would be going in a limousine, free hotels, going to New York, getting involved with other agencies, blah, blah, blahSO, 2 years went by, all I did was photo shoots, and walking on the runway! Basically thats all I did for 2 years straight, and when I graduated from the 2 year thing, Im not gonna say any names but this man said that I had to do the classes all over again!! What!?! Arent I supposed to go to New York or something?? At least the next level of training? Nope, we had to do it all over again, which meant we had to pay MORE money. My mom was not up for that so we stopped going there. Then about 6 months later, they send us a letter saying to go to this audition for going to New York! 🙄 So we went, and they said they would pick who was chosen, and I was chosen but they wanted over 7,000 FREAKING DOLLARS for New York! And that DID NOT include our flight, hotel, and food! So what happened to the free limousine, free hotel and all that, huh?All I have to say is that this was a complete waste of time and a scam. Looking at the reviews here I am definitely not the only one who thinks that.

I am a current student at this school, and I continually find the staff and atmosphere here to be very open, professional, challenging, and exciting. In terms of gaining experience on how the modeling and talent industries work, these classes keep me on my feet and the camaraderie amongst the other students/participants here has been rewarding. Being here has been an open door, and I encourage any aspiring actor or model to do the same.

Took the auditions there both days, was quickly asked for the money before I was sure about the place so I left before I payed, I’m working to become and actor and I didn’t want to spend the time and money if it wasn’t going to help me with my success. It did sound legit but I had talked to my acting teacher and she had heard of you guys just didn’t know if it was a scam or not. Just trying to get an agent I have amazing talent and need that support!Still thinking about taking the class since there is not much agency’s in Minnesota that I can find.

When I first got a call about an audition from this location, I was a little hesitant, but after I met everybody there it completly changed my mind. When I walked in they already started treating me like family. I adored all of the instructors that I had the honor to work with in the 6 months I was there. Time flew by so fast, the environment was walm and welcoming, the instructors had amazing knowledge from their own careers as models and actors. The people that I met here I will never forget, they really helped me 100% know that acting is what I want to do with my life and I cant thank them enough for all they have and continue to do for me because of how much they believe in us. Thank you JCB, for everything that you do

Well I won’t say anything to bad about it because I never even went there but I audition. And I am just going to tell you my opinion about John Casablancas. When I went there to audition everyone was very nice, they said that it was a free audition and there would be a photo shoot and you would run the runway. For the photo shoot the room was really small my cousin was with them for one day and they said it was only $300 but they took a lot more. I haven’t heard a lot of good things about them and I don’t if they are legit well it is just my opinion and if you still feel like it might be real that’s ok I mean if that’s what you want to do.

This place is NOT A SCAM! So many people have the wrong idea. I went in for an audition and yes they do offer classes but only to prepare you for the talent your wanting to do! I was not offered classes because I do have experience, so I will be signing with their agency. Yes an actual agency MTM that you do not have to pay for. Just so you know, this place is an amazing place with caring people who want to HELP YOU. I hope you consider this!

John Casablancas is a scam agency. I take my my daughter there to do a modeling and acting we frist interviews the ladies who did a a interview for us asking me to pay for 3 years and if I pay it off them I got $500 discounted. And they will help my Doughter rich her dreams and she got her professional photographer free and I did pay off one time for 3 years. But 2hen she started her frist class for the frist week I totally notice that the agency they dont organized and they dont have a professional teach but I think maybe they just starting the class so many still confused the class and when they take her pictures they ask me to pay I said why do I have to pay as they told me if I pay off for 3years then the picture is free and they respond back no you have to pay.

Complete waste of time & money, if i could give 0 stars i would. Before I had went when i was 19 i read a lot of reviews claiming they were a “scam” I should’ve listened! They literally don’t teach you anything, I paid $70 something on 3 classes that taught me absolutely NOTHING, (keep in mind these classes are $70 each) in total there are like 30 classes or something like that anyways they were talking about things i already knew, things i’ve done in middle school music class.First class was literally and intro of the teacher just talking about himself, $70 to listen to you talk about yourself 🤨 ok? how’s this helping me?Second class, we did breathing exercises, stretching & some other weird stuff. again, how’s this helping us?Third, we did our “catwalks” they told us what they liked and disliked about our walks then onto the next person & the way they criticized is as if they worked with some of the best people in the industry today, none of these people have done much w their “entertainment/modeling careers” themselves. so why should i take advise from Z list “professionals”?after that i decided they can’t do anything for me & all they really want is money, now I signed the contract when I was 19, didn’t go to classes because I just didn’t have the money for it at the time, i have 2 little girls that I had to take care of before anything & they were okay w it i guess, went back when i was 21, that’s when I seen for myself WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY, so i left & never came back and for that reason. they decided to charge me $300 something dollars & put it in a collections agency, no letter that they wanted money they just sent it straight to the collections. really? 300 isn’t much, i could pay if i really had to but the fact that they did that just shows they’re thirsty for money and will do whatever to get it. which I will be talking to my lawyer about.DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY, they won’t get you far. trust me, you’re better off taking that almost $3000 they want from you and getting your OWN PERSONAL REAL AGENT.

You dont have to pay for your talent. They rip you off and convince you to stay at the audition. Dont listen to them and go directly to a talent agency. This is great for those who want to find their talent in this industry, but if you feel confident enough to do so yourself, then dont go here. Some of the instructors were great, others did not do so well. Photographers didnt seem to know anything and you have to pay for your pictures there. At the end of this all they will offer you to upload your resume for so and so dollars. I personally had a terrible experience here and wish I listened to my talented friend.

For everyone out there listen up. John Casablancas is an agency, it is a school as well. Theres something got A.B.C in modeling and acting, A stands for A talent meaning has experience knows what there doing and doesnt need help, B stands for B talent meaning, new or fresh meat at modeling and acting. STOP!!! Before we go on here this. J.C. had me audition and I made the cut, I was considered B talent, yes I came back a second time and I sat down and weighed my options. Look agency are free yes but if your not skilled they wont hire you, J.C is a modeling and acting school, its like college but for talents. Yes everyone thinks it might be a scan but how do you know, you went to college? Cause I didnt and college costs $20,000 a year hmm, makes me believe that college is a scam to but its not, they tell you its gonna cost money because its a school just like college, btw my brother even told me that going to college doesnt promise you a job. So if you guys really think that then beat it but those who want to try do it be like me I just signed up and paid, now Ill be able to better my self and be better at it then most people and get more offers on auditions. PS Btw you never know what will happen unless you try so STOP with the bad reviews yall just jealous that yall didnt take your chances.

Love this place. They have over 15,000 success stories and discovered Cindy Crawford. JC is a school for potential talent, so lets say you went to school to be a nurse your college doesnt guarantee you will become a nurse. JC is the same they will give you the education you need to be a actress or model, however they dont guarantee you will get accepted into MTM. I would say its DEFINITELY worth the shot and money.

(didnt want to give it 1 star cause its not even worth that but wouldnt let me post without a rate.)Not a place to go to if you want to be a professional actress or model. They sign on anybody just for the money. Me and this other girl that was there left after the first month because its just repetition with them. They teach the same thing everyday and dont really know what theyre doing. I asked a question that day about makeup and the lady said i did good. I know for a fact it was messed up, i purposely did it wrong to see if she would help correct it... she didnt. Also not to be mean but seriously they do let anybody in there as long as you look like you can afford it they will sign you on. Sure the teachers are nice and i did love all of the other students i met there but i felt like i was learning the same thing everyday. When i didntgo for two months they charged me for it. I told them i wasnt going to pay when i had already quit and they kept charging me interest. so i paid off the remaining $800 but even then trying to get in contact with them to pay them the remainder they wouldnt answer there phone i had to call them 12 times. Very poor place. Now i am signed on with a motorcycle group, modeling for calendars and i love it and get paid good (not naked either not even half naked i wear a crop top long sleeve and pants) so you just gotta find the right people and JC is NOT it.

I went to modeling classes through JC a few years ago. When I was in high school. As far as i remember they teach well and give a variety of experiences. I did a photo shoot where I got a bunch of good shots to put in a portfolio. I learned tips for starting out as a beginner model like how to prepare myself for a shoot if I had to do my own styling. I got to do a runway show. It was a really great experience! The only advice I have to give for youngins is... You do pay for these classes but if this is what you really want to do its worth it. And dont quit! No matter what anyone tells you dont quit! You got this and you CAN do it! If you want to. ...I remember a teacher told me I was too chunky and I quit. I was a kid and going through that stage where I compared myself to others and I listened to her. I should not have listened to her cause I am beautiful and I could have gone on to be a great model! But altogether I really enjoyed my experience at JC :)
