I would like to start by saying, Rita with customer service, rocks socks. She is stellar, she answered every question I had quickly, she was polite, she even helped me clear up a duplicate that my logistics company threw out there. If this review was just for Ritas performance, its a 7 out of 5. Sadly, this isnt just for Rita, its for all of Saia. My freight was scheduled for pickup on Monday the 12th of April. The appointment was made Friday the 9th. My pick-up window is between 8am and 3pm. Thats a seven hour window and they just couldnt get it done. As frustrating as that is, its small beans. My issue is no-one called to tell me that my freight would be picked up the next day on the 13th. I wouldnt even be upset if someone had told me it was pushed back and they were behind. I found out at 3:10pm when I called to find out where the driver was. Over-all Im just irritated that no-one notified me of the delay. Heres hoping Saia gets better at communication.

Had a time critical shipment so I called ahead to find out when it would be delivered and was told Thursday and like so many others didnt get is delivered until Monday and they acted like I should be thankful I got it at all. Completely unconcerned about customer service.

Damaged our shipment now wont make it right

Was called 6/20/20 to set up a delivery appointment to a residence, set up for 6/22/20 between 1-4pm when I spoke with Brooke. Then 4pm rolled around I had to reach out to them as it wasnt delivered. I spoke with a Donna and was told it would deliver between 7am-7pm; 6:45pm called again because I saw when tracking on their website that it is now at 8-11pm ETA. In no way can anyone deliver to a residence between 8-11pm with a shipment that says it requires two people there to off load and to a residence. All this data was on the paperwork that they received during shipment that a delivery appointment was required, that it required a lift gate, and that it was a residence and not a business. HORRIBLE customer service and HORRIBLE service. I will ensuring that employment company and all my suppliers never use this company to deliver to us or any of our customers. This is absolutely unacceptable. I sure hope that when it does finally deliver that nothing is broken as this is carrying my items around on set of pups moving it on and off with every stop. Absolutely ridiculous.

When it comes down to going to work they do it well

Well this company called and left a message they have my pool and need to deliver it please call to set up time. So i call back and nothing the phone just rings and rings not even away to leave a message, I have made over a dozen calls to them now and still no one is picking up the phone. This is noway to run a business, not sure now how to even go pick up my pool if nobody is there.

Keith was very friendly at the Bloomington Saia Terminal. He got me loaded up very timely and encouraged me to take my time getting the load tied down. I arrived at 11am at my choosing. I had called Saia at 7am cst and the cust service rep, who was also very friendly, said I could pick up my freight anytime before 6pm today which was a Monday.

This is possibly the worst experience Ive ever had with any company I have ever encountered. Long story short my freight was supposed to be here friday. I walk in the a**hole was yelling at a employee basically telling him anything he was doing was wrong and that he is just a waste of time. So he turns to me and says what do you want so i say. Yeah im here to pick up my freight so i give him my tracking number he says. Yeah its in cedar rapids idk who the hell told you that its here. So I call my boss letting him know im going to be running behind because its not here. And while im on the phone he over hears me talking and says. We arnt open on the weekends so it might be here monday. In the rudest tone. So I just walk out at this point. Go grab a hotel and sit there not working not getting anything done until monday. Monday rolls around I call to see if my freight is in. I go through 45 minutes of waiting and trying to figure out whats going on. So then i get told that I have to get a template. And get it sent to my boss who has to send it to the shipper for me to even authorize me to even pick it up. Then that gets done after some time. So i get the call to go over there I do im there within 15 minutes all the doors are locked im ringing the door bell no one is coming. So then i go back to the truck have to call in again to see what is going on. The service lady cant getahold of anyone. Finally after waiting another 1 and a half hours i get a call. Saying yeah you wont even to be able to pick it up until. 4:30 because of docking reasons. So great i have to sit and wait for another 3 hours so i do. I go back doors are locked i ring doorbell. And guess who Mr. A**hole shows up and says yeah youre gonna have to wait another hour and a half or so. At this point im so done with this whole thing. I go to my truck and wait. Finally now at 5:45 iam getting my 5 packages yea only 5 and im also going to be 5 days behind schedule and no pay for those days. So congrats Saia for being the worst company I have ever dealt with.
