Brittany of Frontier Communications Bloomington made my day today by patiently and professionally helping me add a second internet and phone service to my residence. Great customer service from a knowledgeable and resourceful person is awesome, but staff like Brittany and Robert (Magers) of Frontier Communications Paxton being as kind and helpful as they are makes their level of service extraordinary.Give them both raises!!

I signed up for Frontier DSL in 2014. In 2021 they suddenly decided I wasnt paying enough, and raised my (automatic) bill without notice. When I called the first time the representative lied to me and said a discount had expired. When I called him on the lie I was transferred to a supervisor, who apologized and said the price had simply gone up. I could accept it or get another carrier. Also there was a surcharge now, please and thank you.The only other internet carrier in my area is Comcast, and while I swore to myself I would never crawl back to them its starting to look like my only option. Hours on hold to resolve an issue *once* is starting to look better than ten or twenty minutes on hold followed by half an hour of arguing every time I get my bank statement. They tried the lie again today despite having notes of the last few calls indicating it wasnt going to work.If you do read this and still choose to get Frontier service, make sure you record every name of every person you speak to along with the time and date. I dont know what changed. Maybe it was the pandemic, or maybe it goes back longer than that. What I do know is that their service is way worse than it used to be. Im giving them one last chance. After that its Comcast or using my phone as a wifi hotspot.

Worst internet experience, lazy, unprofessional, a waste of time and money, they make it seem like one person is gonna be the only on using the internet but there more people in the household. They give out faults advertisements about being fast and reliable and low price. If i can rate lower then one star you guy would probably be in the negative.

Unreliable, slow internet - weve had an outage at least once a week, usually during the middle of the day when we are working online. Customer service is difficult to navigate and hardly ever fixes our internet in a reasonable time. There are one or two good technicians/managers weve worked with but most of the people we have talked to have no idea how to fix the outage. Ridiculously bad experience for how much we are paying. Do not get Frontier if you want fast, reliable internet with good customer service.

Worst Internet service I’ve had. Technicians came 8 times and could never get it working for more then a couple of days. Technicians are very nice and will answer your questions but as a internet service I was very displeased.

I have never had service with Frontier, but apparently its completely fine for their technicians to come onto your property without asking for permission. I dont care if you say that the pole is your property. You technically had someone trespass on ours. I am not comfortable with this and will never do business, especially since I was given an attitude when I voiced my concern. If my entire yard would be fenced off, Im assuming the technician would hop the fence to do what he needs to do. Something needs to be done and addressed.

Cheryl has been great to work with!! An amazing worker at Frontier. Customer service was great, we were very happy with her. If you need anything, she is the one to talk to. I highly suggest you stay away from Frontier. I had Internet service through them and regret it to this day. Everything was fine until I needed to disconnect. They actually completed the disconnect a day after they said they would do so - and then tried to charge me for an additional month of service. After spending literally hours on the phone with them, I was only able to get the charge credited after calling the Presidents office.The only reason I gave them two stars was that the actual Internet service was pretty good. Billing, Payments and everything else was awful.

I have never written a review before but felt it was important to do so now. I contacted Frontier Communications to order internet services and received excellent customer service! My customer service representative was a young lady named Brittany and she was AMAZING! She was friendly, upbeat and very helpful. She was extremely patient when I asked a hundred questions and she took her time and explained every detail. Most of all, she was so positive and seemed truly interested in assisting me. She explained al my options and the services in a practical way that I could understand and I felt she went the extra mile to help. In times such as these, people are uncertain and frustrated and sometimes short with others, perhaps without even realizing it. It was soooo refreshing to speak to someone so knowledgeable and outgoing who still radiated joy. Thank you Frontier Communications and thankful you Brittany!

Because of covid and needing new line buried it has been a long process to get our internet setup. But through the whole process I have had the greatest customer service girl! Brittany has been so great! She always answers all of my questions and gets everything straightened out for me quickly. She has made this whole processs so much less stressful . Never ever ever ever ever ever (and in case I was not clear.....) EVER use Frontier. It is the absolute worst excuse of an internet company I have ever dealt with. The service was completely unreliable. Working from home amidst Covid has required me to work from home. I do large presentations and written submissions and lose SO MUCH WORK because of this. I cannot connect to do my job. Others have to do my work for me. It costs me HOURS of time making things up. It’s unbelievable. I’ve counted and I have been disconnected 13 times today ALONE. Avoid it at all costs.

Frontier has absolutely no understanding for what communication truly means.Absolutely the WORST SERVICE EVER (slow internet and TV, inability to communicate with customers in a respectful manner, wrongfully bill customers from their own miscommunication amongst their own employees, etc.)Instead consider, Metronet, reliable, worth every dollar, willing to communicate respectfully and overall wonderful connective services through all your devices.Highly recommend you cancel your service and give your money to a company worth your time and dollar.

Frontiers Call Center is horrible - there is no doubt. But Jon saved me yesterday and helped (and cared) about my situation. He took the time to walk me through what needed to be done and made sure everything worked before I got off the phone with him. THANK YOU JON FOR HELPING ME YESTERDAY. Single handedly the worst company I’ve ever dealt with in my entire life. Constantly over charging me and not able to produce any valid proof as to why, coincidentally dropping every call I make to them when my issue is almost resolved, try to gaslight me into thinking their service is my only option, they are absolutely miserable to deal with and have made my life incredibly difficult the past few months. They’ve ruined my credit by charging me HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS every month even when I PAY MY BILL. I highly recommended that you NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CON ARTISTS.

Just an update frontier communications has lost my business after more than 20 years they do not value customers they lied to customers they steal from customers and then they try to charge you when you cancel frontier communications is nothing but BS!do not use this company try metro net about the same price for a way better serviceService is good, but slower than what I should be getting for the price they are charging....customer service SUCKS....constantly cheating customers on their bills ON PURPOSE. One rep will fix it with a credit, only to have the charges reappear the following statement. In 30 years with this number/company, this is the first time Im seriously looking for a replacement company that will treat me better. Paid $70 deposit, waited 6 hours for installation and called to find out they were mistaken and couldnt provide service in my area. They did not bother to tell me they werent coming and I found this out after missing a days work. They never refunded my money. I have been trying to get refund from customer service via phone, online chat, email, and still no refund over a year later. Terrible customer service! Calling will get you someone that doesnt understand your problem because they dont speak English well enough to handle the complaint, they have refused to transfer me to someone in the US and hung up on me; online chat they have literally just stopped responding once I mention needing a refund. I have multiple screenshots of this happening on separate occasions. Email they respond and tell me I need to call customer service and they cant help me. This company is a JOKE! They should be investigated.

Very slow internet which often goes down. Only getting 1.3Mb of speed.Wait time to talk to correct person at Frontier today was 35 minutes.When my contract was over I was told the price would not change. It immediately went up $5 per month.They cancelled my internet before new company could come install their WIFI and I have paid until end of month.(only Dec. 6th now) Yet, they don’t release my phone number to the new company. Grrr So, my landline phone doesn’t work.

This is the worst place to get internet service from, and even waiting customer service to answer can be a joke. My service was good until I moved then keep hitting all these problems with them, literally if it’s not one thing it’s another. I’m not very happy and get charged put the wazoo for things I don’t need.

500 disconnects in 2 weeks, raising rates while reducing service, messing up our billing, fees ensure that advertised rate is a bad joke. I did try to address these concerns to their staff to which they responded bye. While there are some good individuals who work for them, my only regret is not leaving them sooner.

How about no stars? Dont waste your money with Frontier because they will cause bigger headaches. Frequent outages and when that happens, dont expect service to be fixed for at least 7 days. Even if it is a business. I know many businesses that terminated and went with someone else because Frontier only used contract workers to fix service so they were always at least 7 days before service could be restored.

I rate this a 5 based on my personal experience with their products. Have 45meg internet, voip, and vantage tv. All 3 work great at my location. From talking to friends, depending on where you live service levels may not be as good. Based on prices its worth a try if you have other providers. Also would rather order/deal with the people in the office downtown rather than call the 800 number

Frontier literally sucks. Tried to charge us $80 for a “service visit” we never requested, all they did was knock on our door and then try to charge us money for it. Our internet is the SLOWEST INTERNET IN THE WORLD, and it got especially slow after we said we weren’t going to renew with them, wow I wonder why? Frontier is awful don’t waste your time

Anybody who puts 5 stars is either an employee, relative to an employee or oblivious.The wait time for calls is forever. And the customer service often hang up on you, when they arent busy taking all your information before passing you off to someone else who does the same thing..The rates accidentally go up (never down) because of computer error..And God forbid if youre an automatic payment customer and you dont have enough left in your account to pay the bill. If you miss a payment and they shut you off (after they hit you with a returned check fee AND a late fee), if you pay last month only.. they reconnect you in up to 24 hours.But if you pay the past month AND the current month (which wouldnt be expected - just anticipated...),they turn you on in 15 minutes!So.. THEY PUNISH YOU.. after you pay MORE.. because you didnt pay the next month too...What a f**king back-of-the-bus kinda way to treat your customers, Frontier.I recommend any other internet service provider, if you have the option.

Like most internet providers, be prepared to be scammed. They advertise $39/mo internet, but force you to pay an extra $10/mo router fee, regardless of whether they give you a router or not. Called, and the customer service rep (who told me he uses Spectrum internet) apologized and said thats just how most internet providers operate, sadly. It sucks theres not really a better option, since you get screwed no matter who you sign up with.

I got John on the phone right away, he was extremely helpful and smooth. It took me 35 minutes to get someone on the phone and an answer with Comcast. Took me 10 minutes to get John on the phone, have phone line setup and wifi setup scheduled. Good guy, great service!

On installation the first tech had to repair phone line under house. A year later had them come out for internet problem and it was the same line the tech repaired on installation. The tech that repaired it the second time told me that it had a few splices so he took out splices and replaced a 3 section of phone line. Since the first tech didnt repair it right the first time I had to pay $85 again to repair the same phone line which should have been fixed right the first time. Also, BEWARE of hard credit inquiry on your credit report from frontier when you get their service.

First off I’d like to say that MetroNet is amazing!Called Frontier this morning around 8 am to shut the account down. I’ve had so many issues over the past two years and having my bank account go negative 80 dollars because I was charged three times was the final straw. Service was cut off at 8 am and MetroNet had me set up and connected by 5 pm. I called Frontier customer service irritated and rude, which I do feel bad about. I explained that this is the second time this month that I was late for work due to them and that I just needed to be transferred to whoever can close my account. The lady then spent a good few minutes trying to convince me to give a good review at the end. I ended up calling again asking if anyone knows when I will be reimbursed for the payments, while on the phone there was a very loud lady talking in the background. I mentioned I was having a hard time hearing him because the background was so noisy. He put me on random holds saying his computer froze but the longer we talked I realize he was actually putting me on hold to mess around with coworkers. I gave him the wrong account information and when I corrected myself he wasn’t paying attention (put me on hold), so guess what! He gave me all the wrong persons account information. Very professional and irritating. Anyways, I feel bad because the frontier technicians I have encountered were always great, I wish I could give them 5 stars but their customer service and phone employees are so awful. Extremely thankful for MetroNet, the person I talked with on the phone there was very friendly and actually listening, you don’t get that with Frontier. Also, I have two online college courses and Frontier is NOT reliable. Classes actually start in 4 days so I was definitely nervous shutting my internet off without a backup plan but MetroNet had an opening. Seriously so glad MetroNet was able to help me out. Plus MetroNet has way better coverage for the same amount of money!

If there was anything lower than 1 star, thats what Id give. 😡 Charging an arm and a leg for service that doesnt work. And when they have to come out to fix the internet issues, they make you wait almost a damn week! But still they charge you for service youre not getting. This is potato internet at its finest. Awful. Dont even bother. Switched back to Xfinity (which is a ripoff, but at least it works and was hassle free) literally one day after Frontier failed to A. mail me the necessary equipment, B. I spent three hours on the phone with Tech Support, C. Im tired of thinking about it anymore, just do yourself a favor and avoid these slowpokes at all cost.

I had Frontier for a house I rented a year as an ISU student. To begin with, no service rep showed up during the three hour installation window, and I had to call to schedule another one. Internet speeds were consistently slow, but passable.Midway through the spring, I was overcharged by nearly $200. As there were a few months remaining on my lease for the house, I decided to leave the balance rather than continue fighting them for my refund immediately.When I did call to cancel service, they disconnected me a week early, cheating me out of the internet I paid for through that time. Also, they informed me that it would be a minimum of 90 days before I received my refund, now $30. Meanwhile, I have since received a bill for August, after I canceled my service, which deducted $6 for a residential processing fee. I called Customer Service to express my intent not to pay it, where a rep politely told me she refunded the amount to my account. However, my account balance did not actually change.Google forces me to give one star too many.

Fraud! They sold us a package in December 2015 for 6mgs of speed which they have not been able to deliver on and have stopped trying. We consistently get 2.6 or 2.7 all times of day and night. I have spent a surplus of hours on the phone being transferred repeatedly between tech support and customer service, being hung up on and transferred without being told and having to start the process all over again. AVOID FRONTIER AT ALL COSTS!

Horrible is how I would describe this internet, it would barely even load for me to write this review. We get 1 Mb and its not even consistent if one of my family members gets on while im on, the download speed will drop to 500 Kb, and dont get me started with the disgrace they call customer service takes at least 30 minutes to an hour before I actually reach someone. For 55$ its a complete sham would not recommend these band of idiots

I had signed up for myself and signed up under district 87 school program. First of all lets be fair they offer great prices and they offer programs for low income families and students and not too many companies are. My internet is always going out especially during windy and stormy days and not to mention the internet is slow. I called dozens of times about a damaged wire in my outdoor phone jack and apparently nobody can fix it but yet im steady being told they will fix it. One man told me the outdoor phone port is not our business But yet frontier only connect to the phone jack so if an outdoor wire is damaged why wouldnt you at least tell me who to call?I want to like you guys I really do but i just dont.

Customer service is stellar; please let me specially mention Amber here for the hour long conversation she kept with me to explore all my options in a difficult situation. Worst service!!! I recently moved to Normal and transferred my Frontier service over. The dish network tech warned me about frontiers service and said it would be 2 weeks before anyone will come out to install. Well he was right and when the installation day came there was no tech. My appt was between 9 to 11. I called at 10 and without notice it was switched to the 8 to 5 window. What a joke! So I call back at 3 because they have yet to come out and the service rep tells me that the tech canceled this appt 3 days ago. What a waste of a day. Bye Frontier!

Nickle and diming people. The biggest issue I have is the mischarging people and seeing if they can get away with it. Ive had techs come to my house and havent been charged for it. One visits and I get charged for him doing things that I already did. So, having been fed up with them I canceled my service and went with a better company. Xfinity and disputed the charges frontier placed on my account.

Frontier is a joke. Their packages are about 15 years behind anyone else and simply non-competitive . And then they charge you $10 just to leave, even outside of a contract. THEN they only let you pay over the phone, which they then charge you an extra $3.50 to do. Frontier has jokes. Wish I wouldve went with Comcast wayyy sooner.

I told them a week before moving that I needed my internet switched over they set a date for the week after I moved to come set up my internet no one came and they didn’t bother calling to tell me so they set another date for the next week and again no one came and no one called me and they refused to send someone out because of issues that they failed to address! They missed two appointments to come install internet at my home. My wife had to be on hold for over 30 minutes with one person before someone else at the company took over the call and was able to let us know that our information had been incorrectly stored. Then we were going to be put at the end of the list to be installed and we didnt want to wait again to maybe have someone not come again.

Im standing in the lobby of their downtown office and no one is here. The lights are off and the phone just rings and rings. Its 5:45 and they are open till 7. What a joke! I wish we had another option out where we live. Any time there is a problem, its a hassle getting someone to actually even be interested in talking to us, not to mention theyll make up a date where the tech will come and, like many people know, its almost always a no-show. Last time this happened was over the course of a month, with the tech not showing up three times and each time support telling us they never even had anyone scheduled to come out here. Its ridiculous. Not to mention the customer support is rude half the time, knowing that we have no other option but to deal with them. I cant wait til something else becomes available. Even dial-up is starting to look like a better option at this point and it would probably be more reliable.

Awful.Every few months it will start disconnecting every 5 minutes. They come out every few months and fix it. Irs ridiculous. It took MONTHS to get our bill corrected when they added on something we didnt authorize. The customer service is awful you never get anyone who actually listens or seems to know how to correct the problem.The internet is unreliable and whenever the problems do arise they take way too long to correct them.

I moved into a rental and had frontier set up to have self installation delivered to my house. On March 19, I received an email saying the self installation package will be at my house on March 19 btwn 7 and 4. Never showed. I called that same day. Customer rep said it will be at my house the next day. Tuesday comes and it never showed. I called the same day again and was told that UPS was backed up and will be there 5 days later. I know I was being lied to. I cancelled frontier and called Comcast. 3 days later the self installation kit shows up from frontier. Comcast was there the next day to hook me up. I thought the frontier thing was over but it wasnt. I get a bill for 122 dollars from frontier. I called another robot customer service rep. Asked why is this bill? I was told that on March 19, the internet and phone was manually activated by me. I dont know how this could be. The router is still in shipping box and there was no way I could do it. Im still battling it and I will be going out of my way yet again to travel to the nearest store. Worst service ever!!! I do not recommend this at all!

Frontier is TERRIBLE! It has taken since May for us to get our problems straightened out and it still isnt all corrected. Avoid at all costs. We regret ever signing up with them. This has to be hands down the WORST company I have ever dealt with. If I could give them a negative number of stars I would. Im not even a customer yet. I placed a order online for service and was told to submit some documentation and pay a deposit. I submitted the documentation and called on 3 separate occasions where each person I spoke with could not locate the order. The 3rd person I spoke with was amazing assured me that she would correct the issue, processed a new order and told me they would be out to install the following week. The day comes and nobody shows up. I call again and again they cant find the order. Another agent then processes a new order. She tells me that they will call in 24 hours to schedule installation. The next day I come home from work and Frontier has been by to install but I was never informed they were coming. I call to reschedule the installation. Today I get a call about the missed installation....the agent on the phone tells me they canceled the 2 orders and now they only see the original online order. This was absolutely ridiculous as Im not even a customer. I just told them to cancel my order completely. Absolutely Horrible. I will never get service with this company and im telling everybody i know not to as well.

So far in this past yea, 2013 to 2014, the internet stops when there is rain and on many occasions the service is slower then old dial-up connection. Calling does very little and you never see a serviceman when told someone will be around to look into the problems. If you have Comcast the high price is worth the trouble free service. The $30.00 a month for two years sounds great until you get it. Get what you pay for seems to work here.

I cant believe frontier after being with this company for 2 years. One of my lines were down and internet was running slow so I called to get the problem fix to find out They disconnected my services when I didnt owe a thing. And supposedly I had to start a new account. Which they called me back and realized that it was a mistake. My original account was never suppose had been disconnect. But after 4 days of being on the phone for hours trying to get them to fix my internet guess what. Now I have to pay a deposit for a service I just had and didnt owe a thing for. They are beyond unprofessional and straight up neglect the loyal customers.

Worst service EVER and I havent even had it yet. None of the reps had the same information. Everyone told me something different. They scheduled an install date, didnt show up. Then rescheduled and didnt even show up AGAIN! When I called, they said the techs are overloaded with work and they are 2 weeks backed up for installations! They have no idea when my install is. And this is AFTER Ive paid a deposit! Sucks to only have 2 ISPs in my area! Get it together Frontier!

Don’t waist you money on this terrible internet. The customer service is good but the internet is not reliable, and when it does work it’s not fast. My kids play a lot of call of duty and it hardly works for that, and when it does work their is a noticeable delay. DONT WASTE YOU MONEY.

Ive had a few different ISPs and Frontier is by far the WORST. If youre okay with periodic lapses in service or at the very least resetting your router 3 times a day every day then by all means enlist with Frontier. If you have any choice in your ISP, choose anyone else.

Terrible service. Multiple calls to tech support did no good. Technician came out a week ago, said he could not figure out what was wrong, would check equipment on the office and call back in an hour. That was the last we heard from him. Intermittent disconnection at all hours, cant stream or use our on demand service. Awful, awful awful.

Frontier not only has the slowest Internet out there but they also will not help you out if you have any problems. Customer service has to be up there with some of the worst ever and youll never have good download speeds and you cant hold a connection. Forget about online gaming and have fun with random outages at literally any given moment. Worst ISP out there by far.

If I could give a 0, I would. The customer service reps are rude and completely inept. Ive had frontier internet service for 4 months and we have had to call each and every month due to billing issues. It takes about an hour to finally get someone competent enough to solve the issue, only for the problem to come back with the next bill. We received 2 late notices on the SAME DAY as the bill that was apparently late. They still to this day do not spell my name correctly on the account after telling them this each of the times we have called. I left Comcast because I thought their service was bad, but after this Im running back to them. Thank you frontier for proving the grass isnt always greener on the other side and showing me what true terrible customer service can really be. Need more evidence than this and all of the other terrible reviews? Check out frontiers bbb rating. Ill save you time. Its F. The lowest possible rating. I realize the bbb isnt a perfect tool, but it should still tell you something. Good luck if you ignore the warnings.

I called for service, and received the router around the 3rd of the month. I connect the router as instructed and still could not connect to the internet. Over the next week I called repeatedly trying to troubleshoot the problem. During multiple conversations with managers and agents of the sort, I was told that a ticket was open and a tech would be out. The technician came and told me that the instructions were incorrect for the type of outlet I have, and fixed the issue. Unbenounced to me Frontier deemed that the connection issue was my fault and charged my account $85 dollars for the visit. I never requested an in-home visit, it was offered as a perk after the terrible service Id received. On top of that, I was promised that the activation fee would be waved. I spoke with a representative prior to my recent conversation, and she also said the same thing. I spoke to Supervisor Sean from Kentucky and he acted as if my passion was directed toward him, as if Id offended him personally. He went on to say he would do nothing about the tech fee. He also stated that the activation fee would not be waved before checking my account notes and seeing that very notation. I have spent hours on the phone with Frontier communications with no resolve. They are very unorganized and detached from the customer experience. I would not refer them to anyone with a job and a life. #shadybusinesspractices... Do Better Frontier Communications!

If you have a choice to do business with Frontier Communications or any other business, CHOOSE THE OTHER AND RUN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF FRONTIER AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!!!!!Living rurally, phone and internet service options leave me stuck with Frontier. Ive been an unwilling and unhappy customer for over 15 years. I dumped their phone service, but dont have a viable alternative ISP.They refuse to upgrade their outdated equipment and lines. Our connections are corroded and unreliable (which their on the ground technicians have acknowledged). One or more outages a week is not at all unusual.Frontier keeps advertising & selling high speed internet here, but everyone in our area is locked down to a MAXIMUM of 1 MBPS. That speed is only achieveable during times when most users are at work or school. Any time the majority of customers here would be available to use their internet service we are lucky to get half of that speed. So, Frontier charges us full price for a service they dont deliver and gets away with it because they have no competition.Every time there is an outage, the support folks run through all of the steps to recover the situation when the callers equipment is the problem and wont check or acknowledge that there is an actual outage in the area except on very rare occasions. When they do, they usually just make the excuse that were in a high demand area which is absurd because I live just outside a town of about 200 people. The only reason we are a high demand area is that they have more customers than their ancient equipment can support and Frontier wont fix their mess here.It has been impossible to contact anyone at Frontier except tech support & customer service, neither of which can or will address the faulty, outdated equipment situation. Were told we wont be prioritized for upgrades until the company gauges enough demand, but clearly, a small rural area will never read high enough to be noticed by their metrics.Frontier provides lousy, unreliable internet and phone service, mostly bad customer service, and misdirection & deceptive information when trying to find resolution. I cant think of anything positive to say about this company. I will eagerly jump ship as soon as any viable alternative becomes available.

0 stars. I shouldve known this going in... but took the risk anyway for some reason. We are moving and called to cancel our internet on a certain date. The customer service rep guaranteed it would be cancelled on June 30th and one of my roommates works from home. It was cancelled a whole week early so now we are out of internet and they are making us create a new account (contract) for this one week. It is ridiculous and no company should be treating their customers this way. My roommate cannot get his work done without internet yet Frontier has forced him into these issues.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. In less than 2 months, my internet has just stopped working. They have to send someone out to fix it which takes at least a week each time. Every single phone call with them lasts at least an hour, and never gets anything accomplished. They keep terrible notes about your account, so you have to explain every detail to every person every time you call. Terrible internet service. If I had more than a few months left in my current apartment, I would cancel it all together. I will never use Frontier again.

I ordered service a week ago. They had the wrong phone number but the right email. Called the day before and the rep said that I will have it the following day. Which that is what was told. Called the morning of, they tell me that I needed my lease to confirm that I was the person staying here. Emailed my lease in and they tell me it will be another week before I get service. I have already took off work and now your telling me I have to take off again. I ask what can you do as far as my bill goes. She can only give me a $25 credit for the inconvenience that I had. Frontier is garbage and need to get shut down. I cant stand them. They dont even deserve a 1 star. But its the only thing I can put in order to submit my post.

Ive had nothing but problems since August 2016. I dont know how many people from Frontier Ive talked to in the past 5 months. Probably about 50 people. I have been a frontier customer since 2014. Ive had nothing but issues since August. The middle of August (when I decided to return back to school) my internet stopped working. When I called frontier, they told me it would be 2 weeks before a service rep could be out. RIDICULOUS!!!!!! Then, when they did finally fix the internet (over the phone and using their internet to troubleshoot, it was fixed) btw, the internet had been out for 12 days for that time. It was fixed.. so I thought. The internet worked fine for September, and then the end of September, same issues! I called and they said it would be 2 weeks again! RIDICULOUS! So on October 10, they told me someone would be out.. I waiting all day and called and they said oh no, no one can be out until the 17th of October. So, I decided I was going to shop around. After having to take my books and laptop to anywhere with free wifi, I was tired to carting everything around town.. and mind you, I live 20 minutes from the largest town so it was a pain in the rear to do this. I decided to shop around with Mediacom which is the other company in my small town. I decided to go with them. I ordered the TV/Internet bundle, and they shipped a box to me. Then, I called Frontier on October 12th I think? It was a Wednesday.. and told them to cancel my service because I couldnt wait any longer. The rep said he would put the order in.. the very next day at 8:30am, I get a call from the service man from Frontier saying he would be at my house in 30 minutes! I was like oh ok; maybe they didnt cancel me.. The rep came and replaced the modem and the internet worked beautifully! I was thrilled.. I called frontier back that day, stating that because of the excellent service, I would stay with them and give them another chance.. so I thought everything was good.. I was told everything would be find on Frontiers end.. then, on October 16th or 17th (it was a Wednesday), I didnt have internet - yet again!! I was again frustrated! I called frontier probably about a dozen times in 2 days, they said that account had been canceled and they they needed to build a shell account to get my service back.. which I told them, build whatever, but just get my internet back!! Then, I get a bill for an activation fee for $49.99, and Im now being charged $49.99 for internet when I was never charged that much before! So I called on Wednesday, and go no where with the rep on the phone. She refused to take any charges off stating that that was the charge and that there was nothing she could do. I ended up calling the President of Frontiers office and spoke with Allison. She called back and left a message on Thursday - stating she took off the activation fee ($49.99) because there was no rep that actually came to my house to activate anything. and that the only charges I would have would be $49.99.The issue is that if I have new service I should be getting the $19.99 rate per month (from activation 9/1/16-03/31/17), or just knock me back to my original $29.99 rate Ive been paying for the past 2 years. Although the idiots Ive talked to on chat only are authorized to give a $5.00 credit... or so they say.. Im still waiting on Frontier to call me back on this - I talked to them on Saturday ( December 10, 2016) .. This company is stupid and jacked up!!!

One Star is generous.Prior to purchasing a house outside of lexington, I called frontier to verify that I would be able to use their service. They said that the area had DSL and I should have no problem.On September 14th, 2016 I called frontier (this was after closing on the house). I set up an appointment for internet and phone install of September 21st, 2016.Around this time I went to the Hudson Illinois library. Their internet was out. I asked why. They said they recently signed a new contract with Frontier Communications. I was surprised, as I knew frontier has mostly garbage level speeds. The librarian told me that based on their required speed, Frontier Communications was the lowest bidder, and Illinois State Law required that they be awarded the bid. They said that they were waiting on Frontier Communications to upgrade their network to the specified bandwidth, and in the meantime they were with out internet. This was a sign of things to come.September 21st i waited at my newly purchased house from 9 am until noon. No call no show. I finally called Frontier Communications at 2 pm. They apologized and said that someone should have called me. Apparently they needed to upgrade a switch in order for me to have internet. No big deal, I asked for a time line and couldnt be given one. Call back in a week they said.I called back in a week. Frontier Communications told me that the switch should be available around the 5th of October. Once it was installed, I should be able to call back to set up a time and date for internet. I called on the 5th of October. They said that they would be able to tentatively set up my internet installation for the 13th of october. I was sensing a pattern. On the 13th of october I called Frontier Communications. This time i was told there was a problem with the cable. I was told it should be fixed within a week. I called Frontier Communications on October 24th to ask if there was an update. They said yes, someone would be out to install my phone and internet on the 25th of October (today), between the hours of 1pm and 3 pm. Today I called them at 2:30 pm, knowing full well they were going to no call no show again.After I asked to speak to a supervisor I was finally given some information. Of course after she apologized, as someone should have called me. Finally she said that I was a half a mile outside of their service area. They were trying to get approval to extend their service area a half mile. I told her that my neighbor, about 50 feet away, had Frontier Communications internet service. She assured me this was normal, and that pending the approval they would extend their coverage area the half mile. I told her I thought that her techs were going to the wrong spot. She said she would make a note of that and I am to call back in a few weeks.At every level this company is incompetent. The customer service people arent given any training on the technical aspects of the services their company provides. The engineers arent ever available to answer the phone. The supervisors only seem to be able to spew out what the notes say. I am convinced that Frontier Communications exists to set up your appointment, sell your information to as many as people as possible, and then never actually install internet or phone.If you have another option for wired internet, use them. Even comcast is better than this garbage company. Mediacom is better than this garbage company. If youre considering using them for your business please, ask around. You will only hear horror stories.

Polite, but worthless customer service. Incredibly slow and unreliable Internet. Stuck it out for over a year because I hate Comcast, but there are no redeeming qualities. Going back to Comcast.
