My mom and dad purchased plots from Dawn Valley from a door to door salesman in 1971. It seems that was their preferred method of shopping back then as I have the dictionaries, encyclopedias and brushes to prove it. Lol. They purchased based on location as it was near Bush Lake, which was a center point of fun activities we were doing as a family during the time. I imagine they also chose DV, because it is beautiful, tranquil, and surrounded by nature. This review is based on my mom’s funeral last week.Planning a funeral is no fun. It’s overwhelming, because of the timing and the unknowns. I can say without hesitation that my parents chose well. The staff of Dawn Valley was amazing. They made the process easy, smooth, and stress free. We feared pressure sales. Never did this happen and it was made clear throughout the process they would work with us and it would be perfect. The funeral itself was beautifully done. They chose a wonderful minister, who despite never meeting my mom made us feel like they knew each other. All in all, for a hard thing to go through they made it seamless and stress free. The perfect day for a immensely loved and missed mom.Thank you, Dawn Valley!

Our son is buried here in the garden of little angels- we had a good experience working with the staff and felt very supported as we went through burial and gravestone proceedings. It’s maintained well and a beautiful resting place for our little man.

Dawn Valley is a beautiful, peaceful place. I visit every day and care for fresh cut flowers on a boulder. Holiday wreaths are placed in November and they last till early Feb, they are very nice too. The grounds workers are pleasant to visit with as are those in the chapel. I feel very welcome when I visit. It will be my final resting place in that same boulder with my dearest Shirley sometime in the distant future.

Grounds crew continually removes fresh flowers and very small items, crystals, battery operated candles, coins and holiday inspired decor that is very tasteful, all left to honor my son, brother and mother. They are selective about what they steal, and who they steal from. My things will be missing while there is 40 other graves with the same type of items that go untouched. When called out the harassment has gotten worse. I could understand if they mowed around his grave and the items would be at risk of being mowed over and possibly causing harm to the grounds crew but they mow around his marker as it is very detailed and the mower could cause damage. They also avoid my mother and brothers grave. I cut the grass around the graves with a scissors. They also will steal things in the winter months when we are allowed to have things out to honor our loved ones. Again, selective about who can have things and who cannot. It IS the grounds crew as I have found the items by the maintenance shed or they are in the office. The staff is fine until they get your money. Despicable and so disrespectful for we who are deeply grieving the loss of our loved ones.
